I'm so excited for you to start the "filler" arc! Its one of my favourite arcs, its not really filler because its been mentioned and referenced multiple times in the manga and in future arcs too also in my opinion, its the very last arc that has some good detail to background images and side characters along with the atmosphere of it being mysterious and puzzle solving, new characters and villains are great too!
@@BrandonJames2016 Yeah it definitely blended well into the series because the author wrote the arc and was involved with the creative process with the anime production crew! The anime was catching up to the manga thats why instead of the anime taking a break at that time.. they decided to add an arc that was supposed to be in the manga an exclusive anime only, sadly though it could only give 25 episodes for the canonical arc (first half of GMG) whereas 2nd half of GMG was 2014.
I honestly really enjoyed the filler arc myself, it doesn’t really do anything to spoil the pacing of this anime and it’s honestly kind of special in a way
4:11 Yes, they did. Gildarts opened by telling Natsu about his encounter with a black dragon and when he tried to run off to find it he explained what he did to him. Dragon of the Apocalypse is foreboding but an app description of him.
Technically speaking... only six years had passed. Natsu, Lucy and the others disappeared at December of the year X784. However, the time skip goes to March of the year X791. That means technically it passed 6 years and 3 months. They mention seven years because that's the difference between 784 and 791.

Such an impactful episode. The holding hands scene almost got me again. Honestly you should take your time, Key of the Starry Heavens is a great filler arc. The later filler arc is more controversial, but this one is a pretty great ride.

Had to binge watch a bunch of your videos to catch up because I knew this was coming. Acnologia, the Black Dragon of the Apocalypse. There’s a reason there aren’t any dragons flying around… TIME SKIP!!!! Don’t listen to the people telling you to skip the next arc, it has some issues at the beginning but it gets solid as it wasn’t in the manga, but is still cannon.
So excited for the next arc!! It's kind of "filler" by regular definition, but it's actually an arc the creator, Hiro Mashima wanted to write in the manga, but couldn't! It definitely hits me in the feels and drags in some places, but I overall do love it because of the central plot

I've heard somewhere that the author wanted to make those arcs in the manga as well, but didn't have time, so he decided to make it in the anime as filler
@@waawaaaano it’s canon because Mashima worked with the anime producers for it. Mashima didn’t want FT to have long boring filler arcs like naruto and bleach so for the long filler arcs he made sure they would be connected to the manga. That’s one of the reasons why they call him the superman of mangaka.

What makes the next few episodes so hard to watch? (Goes to check the episode list on fandom...) Okay... I enjoyed this one, and that one, and- (stares at episode title in horror as repressed memories surface). OH... NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Edit: Okay. I'll admit that the "repressed memories" bit was a joke. But this isn't: to this day, I still haven't gotten past the first five minutes of that episode. And I refuse to do so.
I remember the fear that took place when Acnalogia showed up and this event would shake up the entire series going forward. The next arc that takes place surprisingly is filler even tho it blends so well into the series since it gets mentioned even the villains it focuses on will be very familiar. With that concludes the Tenrou island arc which was awesome.
The next arc might not be canon to the manga but it still affects the arcs after it as there are references. The big one is 50 episodes long. I estimate it will take you all of 2025 to get through it. Unless you start doubling up episodes every week starting next week.
The next arc is "filler" in the sense that it was written for the anime, but it isn't non-canon. The only people who say that are the kind of weirdos who believe that an anime is inherently less valid than its original manga. 👀 Personally, its my favourite arc in the whole show. It also features my least-favourite episode in the whole show! Its a mixed bag. 😄
I forgot about the upcoming anime original episodes. We are coming up to Fairy Tail's first filler arc, which was mentioned in the manga. Some of the episodes are based on side chapters in the manga, but I wouldn't call all of those cannon.
Think about it this way, Laxus knew he fucked up as soon as he started, losing the battle of fairytale and he knew exactly what would happen. He was expecting it, and he was sent away from home. All of his friends, including the ones that he had to feel guilty about hurting, for however, many months he was away, not knowing how they were doing-he probably already had a second chance, and this time he blew it on a temper tantrum I would not be surprised if he never forgives himself! I know how things play out from here, but.. I got a feeling I know exactly when you will forgive him
Also the next arc IS long but it's really good. At least if I think about the right one. It tackles the great themes and makes the passed seven years even more impactful. Especially for Lucy. Without spoilers, but my girl has her time in the plot again yahooo!
Hey Zamber, You should consider reacting the new DC Anime "Suicide Squad Isekai" I mean you're probably not into DC superhero stuff, But I just thought I'd let you know about it since an Anime is an Anime.
Honestly you can take your time with the filler arcs. The filler arcs are great in FT and it'll give more time to get caught up while Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest is airing and getting dubbed 😁😄
