I am genuinely surprised why they killed this franchise, it's such an original concept for a mobile game. I absolutely loved the Where's My Water series and have fond memories playing all those games on my old small Cloudphone when visiting my grandma's place. I actually bought the game this year and had a good time.
I remember borrowing my brothers phone a lot to play this game. For some reason this memory makes me feel "safe" and "cozy" inside my parents' house and longing for the good old times.
I remember playing _Where's My Mickey?_ back then before I found out that Disney made the 2013 series based on the Classic Mickey cartoons with new art style. The weirdest part about the game is when Goofy got stranded in a remote island and ate everything because a plant spits out a goo that made him hallucinate into thinking it's food. *Fun Fact:* The voice actor of Mickey Mouse in the 2013 series is the same actor who played Moe from The Three Stooges movie.
Honestly, I forgot it was a "franchise". I just remember playing the 1st game along with the other random XD games at the time (Sugar Rush Speedway, In-door miniature golf, JESSIE Pinball, etc.)
I miss this franchise, nowadays in this generation we got ads that don’t actually look like the game they are showing, I just wish we could go back in the 2000-2015, those were the best years for gaming (In my opinion)
I’ll always remember the animated mini series they made. I also thought the alligator incident in Disney World caused Disney to disassociate themselves with the game…
I've actually been playing where's my water, the sequel, and where's my perry for the past 2 weeks. It's definetly worth a download if you have an android device, but be warned that the original game has an issue with 120 HZ screens so you'll have to set the limit to 60 HZ or some levels will break.
I remember playing Where's My Mickey when i was a Kid, I really was into the game until i uninstalled it, I wish i could go back and keep the game since i had a ton of fun with it and because the game isnt on the appstore anymore for what i have seen these days.
me and my dad used to love these games! I remember playing for hours and my dad would help me with the levels. When he found out you couldn't download it anymore he was a bit sad. Just a nice memory with my dad!
Actually, the Wheres my perry game was a bit different than "Wheres my water, but with steam". It had some steam levels yes, but it also had regular water levels too. The more unique aspect of it was the various inators and their effects. In particular, the Ice behaves completely different.
yeah i totally agreed wheres my perry and mickey is actually make a new game mechanics other than the basic water puzzle of original wheres my water series
The Talking Tom and Friends series, created by a mobile game company called Outfit7, Is suffering the franchise-run treatment, having the franchise being overrun with generic endless runners instead of the original “Talkback animal” or “Talkback animal you have to take care of” formula we’re all used to. Somebody should make a video on that…
Congratulations on the editing 😅 also, I feel like games like this are bound to die simply because I don’t think any of these water games had an app purchases that might be one reason why they might feel like they need to delisted it because in app purchases are a very direct way to get money.😊 it’s sad how desperate for money they can be sometimes😕
No joke I predicted this today and was just gonna request this! I remember playing the Flash version at school (which is actually not well optimized even on my modern PC as of this year), I spent a lot of time with the spin offs namely Perry and Holiday and played the free version off various iPads at school. WMW2 was def where I fell off with the series and it's kinda sad how they ended off the series with a F2P sequel that locked up most of the levels under paywalls. Unlike other companies, I'm glad they're keeping at least WMW1 and WMW2 on the app store beyond EOL which is a lot better than vaulting literally everything legacy that brought new heights for good.
This video reminds me of when I have multiple "versions" of Where's My Water installed, I only remembered it thanks to this. As a person who played Skylanders and Disney Infinity literally after Toys To Life already died, it would be interesting to see your next "What Killed" video.
I played this game back in 2016, it was a great game tbh. I wish it had more updates. :( And this is probably the first video Ive seen of wheres my water is MONTHS. ty!
Heres another idea for a video you can make What killed troll face quest? The old game that has like 10 versions of it that game was so popular nowadays I barely hear anyone talking about it
Disney just can't get it together on the video game front. Back when there was a dedicated video game division, they made a few original titles that were well received, but either were one off or crashed and burned like Where's my water. Now they almost exclusively license their properties to other studios to an incredibly mixed bag.
It’s sad to see that they where shut down, I still to this day LOVE Where’s My Water games! 😊 And plus! The game’s music theme are stuck in my head, Forever! And I love it!
It youse to be one of my favorite games to play on my old kindle fire HD 6 and 7 up there with subway surfers, angry birds epic and other angry birds games and so much more nostalgia from it.
I have an old iPod, not the old iPods just for music but the one that you can actually download games. I still have where’s my water? 1 and 2 and I also still have the valentines special with Perry on it, yes it’s still playable and i have all the levels beat. It still entertains me to this day!
I love the game so much, that I have been modding it for many months now. I actually created a working level editor. Granted, you have to get the apk onto your pc, extract it, then open it in the level editor, edit the level, export it, then repack the apk (then sign it), then install it on your device. Yes, it can be a hassle just to edit a level, but it is something. I am currently working on a much better system for modding wmw, and I plan on making a version that can run on mobile devices. I do also plan on creating a program that is able to get the apk from your device, extract it, then allow you to mod it however you want, then repack it and dign it, all automatically, so it can make the process easier (of course, if your device is rooted, I can make it across the files directly, which will make modding the game much much faster. Believe me, I have a jailbroken (rooted) ipad, and being able to mod the game without reinstalling it, is amazing). btw, the level editor is called Where's My Editor (I know, amazing name).
Ok, this is obscure but you can still get or maybe of it was already downloaded, have where’s my Perry on a kindle fire. I got it and it is news to me that it got discontinued everywhere else.
This game reminds me of a time when my grandma would let me on her ipad to play where's my water. but since a year or two my grandma died to holes in the heart that she was born with.
Not lying tho, this video actually was quite nostalgic to me. I played the shit out of wmw when i was like six...? Also, I FONDLY remember where's my perry and where's my mickey as well. RIP where's my water.. I loved that game...
5:57 I had a strange thought. Imagine a clip where it restarted again and again, and it began on this dude breathing like that. Would be stranger than if you watched this video linearly, like you’re supposed to. And the addition of adding two more icons on 6:02 had me thinking why you added that. Great video. I just wanted to add my thoughts before I forget them.
"Stars for replayability" I 100% the whole game (not with any of the paid extra levels) in less than 48 hours. Also does anyone remember the Where's my Water board game? I still have mine sat in the pile™ in my room.
THE LATE 00'S AND EARLY 10'S WERE A GOLDEN AGE FOR CASUAL GAMING UNFORTUNATELY SINCE THEN TO MUCH TALENT HAS BEEN WASTED ON MAKING ENGINES AND GARDENS TO TRAP FUTURE DEVELOPERS RATHER THAN FOLLOWING THE FUN
I loved the wheres my water franchise as a kid, i specifically remeber playing the mickey one and the free regular one along with cur the rope and many others
I remember played it and stopped because i got stuck on a level and the next month i played it again from level 1 and then got stuck on the same level again and stopped playing it. Hmmmm childhood
I remember 100%ing where's my water 2 till the paywall right before beach level. I was a wee lad, IAPs didn't make much sense back then. I would return every day to collect mystery duck hoping the rest of the game would magically unlock. Ah...good times.
In the beginning, he mentioned, Disney interactive studios, and I have a story relating to that. I have a toy story three game for the Xbox 360 that I own. From what I’ve seen the copy I have is quite rare, but I don’t intend on selling it. Rather, I just don’t even act like it’s a collectible. I just play it and it’s really fun. Another Disney interactive game I have for the Xbox 360 is the cars two game. It’s a really fun game. I got to say.
I still play WMW and WMW2. All the others I was way too late for, except for WMW Free. I managed to get that a few months before it was removed in November 2018. The whole series is very nostalgic for me, especially since I have WMW Free (which has 2 levels not in the full game).
