A regular person would be a store employee, that doesn’t know how to do any the else but follow Instructions. A mechanic, a person who works the wood, a plumber, they’re not just regular people.

I lived in Merida 40 years ago when I was a kid teaching English at Centro De Idiomas del Sur Este. I also worked at Playa Blanca and club Caribe in Cancun, but I could never get my FM three permit to work legally. My question is now that I am in my 60s how easy would it be for me to get legal work permit? Gracias
@JoseArteagaTravels
@JoseArteagaTravels Год назад
Most places will offer you a sponsorship if needed and you can get your visa with that. Come on a tourist visa then just go from tourist visa to work visa. You can also work here legally if you acquire temporary residency. Or worse case You could probably just do exactly what you were doing 40 years ago. Hope that info helps!

Hello, I just found your channel a few months ago and enjoy your content. I am a Mexican American (parents from mexico). I speak Spanish fluently, but the Spanish out there is way different. I would love to see a video with words used over there that we would need to know to work or retire there (infonavit, plaza (not the centro kind of plaza), etc.)

@Jose Arteaga Travels Actually, all of Mexico is an experiment in Cuban influence. There was an expedition that set sail for Mexico in 1519 from Cuba and it changed the country forever 😀

Question please. I plan on retiring in Mexico. I'm 41. I want to be there as soon as I can. I'm a nurse. I can work here 6 months, live there 6 months. But I'm wondering if there would be a need for private duty nursing for expats... I'm sure there is a need. Do you know anyone doing it?
@JoseArteagaTravels

Great question! I myself have never heard of anyone doing it out here but I am sure its a thing. Perhaps a few google searches might bring some answers. Good luck!

There is a need my cousins work as private nurses but their pay isn’t that great. It’s not as rewarding as nursing in the states where I imagine you make a slightly above average wage depending on what kind of certificate you have for nursing

Hahaha I better don’t say anything because I also came 6 years ago to U.S in a cultural exchange program and ended up staying but now I am glad because I gained a valuable skill which is to be bilingual and well I have awesome American friends . Of course I never planned to live here forever , I now want to go back to my hometown and live by the beach as I used to as a kid.

I’m 46 and a medical assistant. I wonder if I could get hired to work as a receptionist in a clinic or hospital setting or work in a pharmacy. What do you think? Any suggestions. I’m open to work in anything. Doesn’t even have to be in the medical field.

I am from Baja California Sur and I want to go back to my hometown. I have been living in U.S for 6 years and a half now . I almost get my citizenship here and as soon as I obtain it I want to be able to work 6 months here and 6 months in my hometown. Since I don’t like the summer in my hometown ( extremely hot 🥵) I have a bachelors in accounting from méxico but here I have been working as a nanny 😅 because I love working with people and I have been working as a hemodialysis pct . I was thinking about studying Physician assistant master degree, but I would not be able to work as a PA in my hometown. So I don’t know if I should just go back to accounting or something related in finance which I specialized in . Any ideas? 💡

I wish I could answer that for you but that is something you need to ask yourself. What is it you want to do? And what is your ultimate goal? Is it to make money or be happy? You need to figure out your own path and see what best suits you. You can make more money in the US but you will be much happier in Mexico. You need to figure out how to go about that on your own and find the right balance for yourself. There is no "one size, fits all" solution to this question everyone has. Hope that helps!
