It’s funny how they treat idols differently when they’re famous. IU used to get treated really badly before Good day when she blew up and she got all this bad treatment. Now they’re all nice to her. Smh ... be nice to people regardless of status, popularity, etc.
AsagixRui-chan I remember she said once she was on a variety show and no one spoke to her for 10 hours. Another time she said she was on stage and no one cheered for her at all and some boo’ed her
sadly that is pretty much how it is for everyone in the world...not just celebrities. even your own classmates and relatives will most likely ignore you until you become famous or successful and then they suddenly start kissing up to you and start asking how you are doing lol
@@nnn-v6w Oh that's horrible. I dont know why but I always thought that if you were a singer or idol, people would just be nicer to you out common courtesy? I just assumed that if you were invited to be on a reality TV show people would be polite enough to actually make conversation with you cause thats just a nice thing to do? Wow it's sad to see that they really treated her like that just because she wasn't famous
@E.J. Edmund doesn't matter if someone is more or less popular than you, you should treat everyone with the same respect regardless of who they are. And this goes both ways. Saying staff should treat idols well because they'll always be more popular than themselves is focusing on the wrong priorities. (Except if you're someone who actually only treats people well because they're popular, then it's just bad character.)
I've been to ISAC in January 2019 as a fan and I thought I'd share a little of what it's like as a fan. It was one of the longest days of my life. For my group fans had to be there at 5am for check in with the group's fan staff. It was way out in Incheon so I slept at a sauna nearby for about 2 or 3 hours. We waited til around 6am in the freezing cold and then went inside and sat in our section. We sat there from 6 AM until 12:45 AM. Yes, about 19 hours of sitting in stadium bleachers. The group I went with as a fan (ONF) participated in 2 events: the 60m sprint which was the first event and the 400m relay which was the last event. So there was one event at about 7:30am and the next was at midnight. It was exhausting as a fan as well. I also saw countless idols falling asleep throughout the day. But as Soobin mentioned the BEST parts were watching the idols participate and also interacting with your group from the stands. Also the free food haha. We got a bag of different snacks and two big meals! It was fun but also a VERY long day.
@@ilog5106 You can't buy ticket for ISAC. Each group participating in ISAC are allowed to bring in a certain amount of fans, most groups would make a post on FanCafe or what ever community they use for fans to sign up for the event.
Can you do a vid on how rookoes act around their seniors or how seniors act around rookies like at music shows, isac, award shows, any other time idols are together or around each other *like i see rookies act nervous when they are around or with their seniors but like i always wondered if they are actually ever really nervous around theit seniors* Another video suggestion is how are rookies treated compared to older groups *how do staff at music shows and stuff like that treat rookies*
She's covered or mentioned some of that in other videos, particularly at music shows, but I guess I can see wanting a separate video that's about this and to the point.
Tbh, that's what most athletes go through during every competition or Olympic game. I did swimming for 3-4 years and the competitions take SO LONG because everyone has to compete and the judges have to compare the time of every contestant to make the semi-finals and finals and IT'S SUCH A FUCKING HEADACHE.(it also takes longer if you are competing on different categories and doing different swimming styles.)
Okay i might get hate for this but like I wanna know the tea 🍵 are idols like fuckboys? Do they cheat a lot ?? Lmfo why does this have so many likes?? 🤦🏻♀️😂😂
Maybe not just rookies but unpopular rookies? Cause I'm pretty sure if let's say your are a rookie from a popular company, their experience would probably be different?
Sound plausible, since Idol such as ITZY and NCT DREAM came a little bit late yet nothing happened to them or any action done. Before you guys bash me, check the fancam timelines of any fancam video of these Idol. They are the last to come (after CIX and others underrated Idol) You can see them come to the arena kinda late.
The group she was in was Blady. Like half of the comments are asking this. I guess people don't read other comments before posting their own. Edit 21 hours later: when I wrote this, there were only 36 comments at the time, many asking this same question. Now there's a lot more comments to sift through.
@@tyq5443??? I never said anything about people trying to help. I complained about people ASKING the question because, at the time, people kept asking instead of looking at previous comments asking this and being answered (of which there were less than 40) or just Googling. So I thought I'd post the answer before anyone can ask... Again.
So.. basically the whole event is just for show, gain views and the small groups are fillers, extras,. To make hype with the whole event. So long as it does not look empty. 😒 not surprised.
That was messed up. I totally agree with you. They just plain old forgot about you guys because you were a rookie group and not well know. Yes, it happens , but it don’t make it right.🙏
it doesn't make sense to me. they were invited. doesn't matter how long they had been in the business, there's no reason to treat them differently from other groups. why invite someone if you're not going to pay them any attention? just to fill space? so unprofessional, they should be ashamed of the way they handle things.
That's pretty crazy how thing have changed especially BAP. They really did have a crazy fanbase and their company had to ruin it for them. So sad~~ your experience seems so painful, filming for that long and only coming out for like 5 seconds ToT wow.
@@haechan_dream3373 BAP debuted in the same year as EXO. When they debuted they were more popular in gp than EXO, their song charting well, making big bucks here and there etc. But their company, TS Ent., was and still a shit. They didn't pay BAP, they made a big budget MV and media play it. Turns out they add the budget to BAP's debt. BAP went to court to sue them
@@tyongtyong5846 Lol.. I always see this kind of comment saying "they were once more popular than EXO". That was only because they debut 6 months a ahead of EXO so they had a lead start. Once EXO had their 1st comeback with XOXO they already surpassed BAP. That was their first million-seller record, won daesang for 'album of the year' and then they blew up with Growl.
Please do a video on dorm life!! Or bring in someone who was on a Produce show because I want to know about the inside of the dorms/dorm life!!!!!!!🎊🎊🎊🎊
It's a shame what happened to BAP. They used to be so popular. They had even had a huge international fanbase. But their horrible company destroyed them.
Maryam A. There is like a contract that emerging kpop group sign where you agree that you will be attending ISAC for these many years.. So if they are banned...they don’t need to attend it even if there is a contract... What if they did it on purpose 😉 they are BTS sooo
I'm only halfway through the video, but I suddenly felt the urge to point this out: not being popular is not an excuse to be treated like trash! It's so weird that people see this as a form of justification! It doesn't matter if you are or aren't well-known - if you're there doing YOUR JOB, the people around you should treat you with decency, respect and professionalism!
the moment you said BAP and B1A4 .. my heart skipped a beat.. I absolutely LOVE them and still continue to support them.. Cant really say I enjoyed this video cos I've been in a similar situation before too and man it sucks.. but nevertheless, I love the contents you're making. LOVE YOU!😘
I'm reminded why a lot of fans didn't want their groups on the ISAC. Also, BTS had it bad in the beginning of their careers but it didn't seem to be anything like your group's experience. The industry is so unfair.
It's not about you are not popular at the time, they should be more aware who haven't enter the stadium. It's not fair if your group got blame because entering late when they did not do their job right. Anyway thanks for sharing your experience with us.
In my opinion, this has nothing to do with rookies or small groups, it just depends on the company, the more company has money and fame, the more it's easier for everybody to get attention and be treated well, it is just money.
Always enjoy your info! Sometime, when you can, please give us some info on what it was like tying to promote on a budget in the reformed version of Blady. I know how hard you 5 worked to get recognized, and I bought your album Renovation to help out, but I knew it was a loosing battle for you girls. The album was very good, something you can always be proud of. However, Kpop is no fun without sizable promo funds. How did you girls maintain morale during that period? It might not be easy to talk about, but it sure would be interesting. All the best.
I do like a lot of popular groups. But damn! Staff should be better about this, like she said it’s their job. And if rookie groups or unknown groups don’t get airtime, how are they supposed to become noticed!?😑
To clarify this, BTS were not banned at all, it's rumors. Someone said that, Army followed the joke and now a lot of people think that's what happened when in reality I think it is because they were very busy , they don't need any promotion at all so why spend time going to an useless show
@wizone tillTheSaddestEnding I don't remember exactly, but I know she's talked about it in at least the music show video(s). A lot of times she mentions it while talking about other things. The ones with the two guys might also address it. Grace has also talked about it as well I believe.
I was wondering if you would share your experience in meeting any idol who you thought was like “cold/rude/arrogant” and end up not being it? Or vice versa, you know
I was waiting for this video!! As much as I enjoy watching idols on the show, I think ISAC really should work on more inclusiveness of all idol groups participating in the sporting events.
i hate how they discriminate rookie groups from a not well known company i remember bts back at 2016 when that one music show show didn't provide them a waiting room so they have to do the make up at the hallway and now that bts is so popular they treated them like a royalty now. ironic
As a BABY, it makes me happy to know that BAP had a big fan section at ISAC. Though what happened afterwards with their shitty company still makes me angry, I’m glad they were able to enjoy at least part of their career as idols and their fans were there to cheer them up and support them. Just wish those fans had stayed with them and didn’t leave them as soon as they got into problems 😔
I think a RU-vidr kennie jd got shit for saying bap would have been like how bts is now but their management agency was so shit that they screwed them over. She likes bts too but she’s like it’s true! Lol
saz Randooo hmmmm their company treated them like shit, didn't pay them even tho they were already so popular and had done a lot of Concerts. They all sued the company and the company finally paid them a amount of money to each one of them. But that was like 200$ a month.. they were really mistreated. And went in a long hiatus😪
You know what f*** that BS! I wish your group became more famous because I feel like you being able to speak out would be a fresh breath of air in the K-Pop community. I know you wouldn't be able to say what you are saying now but still it may have helped the industry as a whole. Wish you nothing but the best!
damn. isac is mad humbling🤣 you just know some of those idols wanna pull a katniss everdeen and shoot a producer's apple (?) with the arrow and say "THANK YOU....FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION"
Becoming famous is such hard work. Man. It's a popularity contest, beauty pageant, athletic competition, dance competition, vocal challenge and about how much money your company spends on you. Woah
Wow, thanks for sharing your story! I'm sorry that you didn't have a more positive experience, though. Whoever forgot to notify your group at the beginning should of been disciplined for being irresponsible and unprofessional.OOH! I would been so mad.
It's a popular meeting/dating schedule for idols. 🙊💜 Anyway, I hate that least popular groups are given little to zero air-time. I remember this bc ISAC gave BTS no air-time until I NEED U era when they were getting more popular. Their contract with ISAC ended years ago and I'm glad they never joined again. (I'm not trying to act anything ppl might get the wrong idea but it's true that BTS is precious to us ARMYs just like you with yours) Also, I hate that this stupid show uses idols' physical abilities but is still not taking responsibility when idols get hurt.
I see what you did girl being very cautious when talking about them, cos dere fans might come after u for just mentioning the name, you did good, applause
Its sad there is not more interaction between idols. Meeting new people is half the fun of sports. I did high school Track as well and that was always a highlight.
Bcos yg doesn’t want blackpink to go? Also isac could cause injuries and idols don’t even get much exposure or benefits from joining isac. Plus like what she said, it’s very tiring, you have to be there from like early early morning till like night.
Love your videos!!!!! I would love to hear your experience on variety shows and interviews. How do you prepare for them and were they scripted. Have you every thought about acting also?
Wow, they really treat rookies / less known groups a lot differently. Sorry it pretty much sucked for you :c As a big fan of a little known group I wish I could have seen this video earlier, because I was really excited when they announced their participation in ISAC in 2018 just to get disappointed when it finally aired. and I believe their experience was pretty much the same. In the end they've spent a whole day there and got literally 0 screentime (the only mention was one photo on mbc Twitter so yeah, I guess that's a win?) It's so disrespectful to invite a group and then just ignore them completely
Imagine BTS were just at the beginning of their career at that time (January 2014) but they already had bigger place for the fans! I salute those armies who cheers them that day.! 💜🥰
Im watching this instead of doing my assignment and preparing for my online quiz XD. yeps nobody ask, just want to let you guys know how big a procrastinator i am. Btw, love this Video
Just found out abour your channel, love how you tell your stories! Have to binge watch every Idol Insider now :P I don't know if there's a video about this already, but I'm always worried about the idol's health, what do they eat, if the company tries to give them a balanced diet, do you learn about nutrition or is it just about your appearance? Would love to hear your experiences!
There’s one thing I really, really want to know. I seriously have wondered about this very often at random times of the day: Are there lgbtq+ people within the idols? And if so, do the members know they’re gay/lesbians/bisexual/etc?
olivia hye from loona said a big fat fuck you to the 100 meter sprint and decided to speed walk instead of running but before that had to be called out twice by speakers as she was nowhere to be found
