It works with Eden Bodyworks Curl defining creme. Highly recommend! Update: Found three leave ins that blend well. As I Am Long and Luxe Groyogurt (high protein), Aunt Jackie's Quench( medium protein and coconut free), Biocare Labs Curls and Naturals Leave in Conditioner ( low protein, no coconutoil, no glycerin). Hope this helps.😊

Cantu doesn’t work with LIFE.... 🤷🏾‍♀️ The flaxseed definitely flakes. I thought it was just me doing it wrong! I’ll have to buy another type of eco when using different leave-ins.

Precious H. My hair definitely hates all Cantu products. Either it just sits on top my hair or flakes like crazy! Yellow eco styled flakes on me. Now the flaxseed one is awesome no flakes 😉

Omg, this is sooo helpful! I've been so scared to finally try Eco Styler just to have my hairstyle ruined with flakes and spend forever having to experiment with leave-ins. Thanks for taking some of the guesswork out! Dang, I was eyeing the Flaxseed one the most for my hair type, but seeing that it doesn't play well with so many leave-ins, I think I'll go with trying the Argan or Olive one.

I agree w the Mielle! It definitely flaked with every gel I try to use with it. Thanks for the video. Currently on a beauty supply run. The Flaxseed is my favorite but you definitely have to use it on clean hair, by itself for it to do it's best.

The Camille Rose Honey Leave-In and Eco Styler Argan Oil be having my 4c/4b hair feeling and looking LOVELY. I came across the combo by accident just by taking a chance and it worked out in my favor for sure. Also, I LOVE Uncle Funky’s Daughter Curly Magi, it’s gold for my hair.

I use the Camille Rose Curl Love Leave in, the Curlaide Butter then I add the Eco styler Argan oil and STILL don't get any flakes in my Wash and Go! Her products are AMAZING!

That’s so weird that the kinky curly leave in did that with the olive oil gel. I use that for my wash and gos and it lasts me a week. I always get compliments on my curls. But I do use an oil to seal in the moisture after using the leave in and creme so maybe that’s the reason. Great video!!! Very informative.

The black castor & flaxseed gel and the coconut oil gel have new ingredients and they removed the hydrolyzed wheat protein. It is hard to find the ingredients list for both. The ingredients for the flaxseed gel can be found on target's website. For the coconut one, I haven't found it anywhere.

Thanks for making this video❣❣I use it as reference. I am usually a "twist out with a creme" person. I bought the eco flaxseed gel to try more wash and go's, but was really worried about flakes. I tried the soultanicals frizz whiz leave in with it this weekend, because I really like it in combination with the soultanicals cremes for twistouts. It didn't flake with the eco just like you demonstrated, but I am not content with the overall results. I only had definition on day 1. I am going to try the eco with the curls creme brulee or the curl love moisture milk next. 🤞

At least you know exactly what Leave Ins to use with the Eco Black Castor whenever you are ready to use it again! Anyway l understand where you are coming from! You tend to use Gels that blends well with most of your Leave Ins on a more frequent basis!

I tried the Aunt Jackie's flaxseed along with the Aunt Jackie's leave in on my daughter's hair and it flaked! I added some grapeseed oil in it and used it on my hair. It seems to be okay. I am going to wash my hair and try it on a section and see what it does. I'm glad I found this video so now I can test it first

Aunt Jackie's with the flaxseed works for me...I love that Lin and gel...Hate the olive oil and argan oil eco gel....The olive to crunchy and just flakes up and the argan is just to greezyyyyy.... crystal and the flaxseed is the best I've tried.... Haven't tried any of there other gels

BWHAHAHA!! I do sis, I love the argon oil leave in by Cantu!! Thanks for sharing this information!! I've been using JBCO gel with the Cantu. It seems to produce sand like particles in my hair. Not all over but I've noticed the edges, but that's where I put the most leave in on🤷🏿‍♀️. Your video helped so much because I'd suspected that I've been using too much product 😫

Witty, thank you for taking out the guesswork - saving us time, heartache, product wasting and ruined hairstyles. The only eco gel I have is the yellow eco pro...i dilute it with water and oil because it causes football helmet hair by itself. I like it but dang! I could play any full-contact sport with that gel and my skull would be 100% protected 😂🤣

I only use the Cantu Coconut Curling Cream after I wash to get soft curls and the Cantu Conditioner for when I take out my hair until I want to wash. I only use the green/olive oil Eco Gel

Love,love,love kinky curly. The gel is expensive though. First time i used it inused too much and my hair was tacky feeling so next time I used less and it was much better. The hold is good also.
