There are many parts to the SERP (search engine result page) and understanding why some result in SGE (search generative experience) and others don't, will help you plan out your ppc and seo strategies!

1. The more Google knows about you, the easier time they'll have at knowing when to serve you ads. if they don't know and you could reasonably be a customer, you're getting ads.
2. SGE is going to be a hybrid of transactional and informational intent, however if your user behavior skews a certain way you'll have more of one vs the other.
3. Don't sweat it if your ads aren't at the top. That might be because you've searched for them too often and didn't click, the user doesn't have enough transactional intent to be worth your time, or you could be getting the user through forum influencer discussions on reddit and quora (hopefully discord and slack will find a way in...silly passwords).
