I saw this full sermon as a Protestant looking into the church fathers. When he said “no one hears this and doesn’t become catholic”, I thought to myself “yeah we will see about that, I’m not becoming catholic”. And well… yes… he is right. Read the name. I became Catholic, mostly for the Eucharist.

I am a Catholic priest. Catholics possess two incredible treasures, namely the sacraments and the Bible, through which we can encounter God. However, in my experience, many believers don't fully grasp the value of these treasures, especially when it comes to the Bible. Protestant believers, relying solely on the Bible, often cling to it exclusively. If you observe how much grace Protestant believers receive through the Bible alone, you will understand what I am saying

I find most Catholics don’t know the Bible. As a Protestant we have many Bible studies and are taught the Bible in Sunday school, confirmation, etc… Most all Catholics I know talk about how loyal they are to the rituals….not eating meat on Fridays during lent, the rosary, going to church on Saturday night so they don’t have to wake up and go early on Sunday… Ask them what John 3:16 is, they’re not sure. The Eucharist is important, but a symbol. We don’t need a Eucharist or a priest to ask for Jesus or forgiveness. We can go straight to Jesus. Of course, we have our pastors and clergy who we can go to for spiritual guidance. But they are just men and women. The pope, priests, bishops, cardinals..just men who while are good men, have sin and are not getting to heaven any faster nor have any more of a direct connection to God than anyone else. Jesus came to free us from all the rituals and arrogance of hierarchy. We can’t be like the Pharisees….we need to be real, be as Christ like as possible. Every day we fall short of it. But through our church family, our clergy leading us, Bible studies, Bible based sermons, singing hymns, praying alone and together. we do the best we can… Watch the movie “Luther” from about 20 years ago…yes it was Hollywood, but a great depiction of the life of Martin Luther. Oh, when I ask Catholics who Martin Luther was, they usually say…”the guy from the 60’s??”

There is no way Catholics will make it to heaven. They have a blatant disregard for God's word. Show me in scripture where it says we must pray to saint Christopher? Why preach from missile when you have the Bible. Why make images when God said Do not make an image, 1st commandment. If you can break one commandment you have broken them all. No wonder Catholics allow same sex marriage. Catholicism is the work of Satan. A form of godliness but no God in a Catholic Church. Soddom & Gomorrah He will Burn you!

I'm sure you know not what you do, and I'm sure you don't know what God says about confession and what confession is, or who you confess to. Certainly not a priest. You only know what the clergy tells you. As a Roman Catholic you are never sure and positive you are going to receive salvation. You die with a mortal sin you are toast, a venial, purgatory which does not exist. Worse of all that heretical RC teaching, has made you unable and unwilling to even hear and digest the TRUTH of Scripture. Think hard as you can..... The Scriptures are the inherrent Word of God, which is Christ Himself that is speaking, every Word of the bible. The Word has been over laid with fallible weak sinful man's words, then they tell you the Pope is infallible and he's Christ on earth. Nothing could be further from the TRUTH of God's Word. You have a false religion of works, making you think you can work your way to heaven. If it were so, it proves you don't believe that Christ paid the full price. The gift of salvation is free by Christ's crucifixion on Calvary's cross. You and the false RC church are userping the power of Christ's WORK, where He died once for all that believe as in John 3:16.....For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that who-so-ever believes in their heart and confesses with their lips should not perish, but have eternal life. ( paraphrased ) If you read and learn scripture and declare it, you will fight tooth and nail not to sin, and you will do many works, but those works are for Christ's Glory not ours. You must come empty handed, and understand you cannot work your way to heaven. We are commanded only to spread the TRUE Gospel to all the world, but God alone regenerates the sinner to life.....Period. Don't worry Protestant, Catholic, orthodox, Muslim, Buddhist, etc. just learn God's perfect Word. Read and meditate John's Gospel, and the 6 chapters of Ephesians, and really think about it. If you do I would sermize you will read many more of the 66 books of Scripture. The other 6-7 books the RC church injected into the Bible are not divine Books, they were taken from the Septugent, which were never deemed divine and the Canon was closed. They did that after Luther nailed the 95 theists to the Church door in Wittenberg. Then they blamed the Protestants of that time for removing books. Learn the true historical facts of the Reformation, it will help you much. God Bless you, in Christ's Name Amen.❤🙏

The Bible makes it clear that no-one is good enough to deserve acceptance by God (Romans 3:9-20). On the contrary, we deserve to be condemned and punished by him (Ephesians 2:1-3). However, through Jesus’ death on the cross everyone who believes in him is"justified” (Romans 3:21-26). Justification is the technical term the Bible uses for God accepting us and pronouncing us"not guilty.” It’s the opposite of condemnation (see Romans 5:16, 5:18, and 8:33-34). This verdict is based not on our good works (which would never be sufficient), but on those of Jesus Christ (Romans 5:16-19). God counts his obedience as ours, and our wrongdoing as his (2 Corinthians 5:21). At the cross, Jesus bore the punishment we deserve, so that we can share in the eternal life he deserves (2 Peter 2:24; John 3:16). So our good works don’t contribute anything to our justification. It’s by faith alone that we share in what Jesus has accomplished for us. Scripture says:“To the one who does not work but trusts him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness, just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works.” (Romans 4:5-6, italics mine). And again:“He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy.” (Titus 3:5). Nevertheless, this does not mean that works are unimportant. You are absolutely right that"faith without works is dead” (James 2:26), and that what we do matters to salvation. Our works prove the reality of our faith. This is the point James makes in James 2. A faith that makes no difference to our life is not a true, saving faith. The issue is which come first. The bible is clear about this. We are saved by faith alone and from that salvation comes the good works that shows we have been saved. Look at the theif on the cross. He did no good works yet we know he was saved because Jesus tels us that he was. And why? Because he put his faith in Jesus.

@@1OFGODSOWN Does focusing on the crucifix cause the resurrection to slip from view? On the contrary, it brings to mind the great gift that the slain Lamb of God gained for all of us who believe, the suffering he underwent for you and me -in order that we can have life everlasting. The crucifix never lets me forget that but we also celebrate the risen Lord in our art and stained glass windows - and rejoice too. As to the woman, who God chose to bear Christ, a priest who was killed by the Nazis in Auschwitz once said "don't be afraid of loving Mary. You can never love her more than Christ did". My parents stopped talking to me because I stopped going to mass and went to a church down the road for childcare. My husband refused to go to mass and I shortly found out he wasn't going anywhere. It had to do with money and where his offering would go. I wanted my children to grow up to know Jesus and that seemed like the right place for two of them, the oldest was 18.. I attended some family funerals over the past few years and the mass meant so much more. It felt like home and I miss it. I am praying giving up red meat a.nd sweets and asking God to help me discern what to do. I remember a woman told me I was going to hell because I no longer took communion. My father stopped talking to me, but the priest I spoke to went to see him and told him I'm searching and wanting to give my children the best I could. I had a brother who was not attending mass on marriage number 2 committed infidelity and he was treated like a king because he was a high school teacher and football coach. It's been painful how I was treated by family and now former friends who shunned me. Please pray for discerning. I feel alone and ashamed and angry I am made to feel this way. Thank you Father Mike.

Hi, my father was from a Protestant background and my mother raised us kids Catholic. Honestly, I am torn. If Jesus was literally present in the Eucharist, then why have so many Priests committed such abominable sins? (Yes, there are Protestant ministers who have as well.) Wouldn’t they be transformed by imbibing Jesus every week or day (in some cases)? To me, it seems that maybe the bread and wine are symbolic representations of Jesus that we choose to take into ourselves every week that help transform us every week (after we have asked the Holy Spirit to enter into our beings when we become born again and give our lives to God through Jesus Christ)? Thank you! 🙏

I stay Catholic because I believe it is the Church founded by Jesus Christ and because of the Eucharist. That being said I know why many Catholics leave the church. I have been to confession where the priest has been so arrogant and talked down to me I just knelt there in disbelief. How many Catholics have left the Church because of power driven priests. I noticed months earlier this same priest was hearing confessions and with two minors about 10 years old, one male and the other female he spent ten minutes in the confessional with each of them. I cannot help but wonder if there was any remarks about sex with them. At any rate two children should not be spending ten minutes for a confession. I noticed he spent about two-three minutes with a 35 year old woman. You tell me why? I like the old Irish saying, the Catholic Church must be divine because it has existed for 2,000 years in spite of its clergy.

It's not About Religion, Christian, Catholic, Baptist, Presbytarian and on and on and on. It's about following Jesus daily as Lord and Savior and developing a relationship with Him where he changes you daily into his likeness. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and Believe in your heart that Our Father/God raised him from the dead you will be saved, you will want to know him more. Take your religious affiliations and throw them as far as you can. Identify with Christ as his child and a follower of HIM alone.

You are right, it is about worship of Christ alone, and yes to follow him daily. This is a call to holiness. "The Church" as is it called by St. Paul and the many Saints, has the gifts of the sacraments given to us by Christ himself to help us on this journey. I am in no way saying that you must be Catholic to attain holiness, but these sacraments are very real, and very Biblical. This gift from our Lord...what a Blessing they are.

@@1OFGODSOWN Apparently, you don’t know anything about Gods Church and Mass. Every Mass is listening to Gods Word, receiving Him in Holy Communion and worshipping Him together. We have Sacred Traditions that are found in Scripture. Jesus taught Sacred Traditions and that we are supposed to keep them. 2 Thess 2:13-14 For example, burning incense is in Ex 30:1-10, 30:34-38, Ps140(141), Rev 5:6-8, 8:3-4. We start The Mass making The Sign of The Cross, Ezek 9:4, Rev7:2-4, 14:1, 22:4, Eph 1:13, 4:30, Mt 28:19. We mark our faces with Holy Water in The Name of The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We read Scripture in readings and the Priest gives us the Gospel. The most important is the Consecration and Holy Communion. 1Cor 11:23-29, Jn6:51-59 Jesus Christ said He is the living bread, the bread He gives is His Flesh, unless we eat it, we will have no life in us. If we do eat it, He will raise us up to Heaven on the last day. If we eat it unworthily, we are liable & bring a sentence against ourselves for not discerning it to be His Body & Blood. He appointed them leaders, gave THEM His authority, power, Doctrine, Sacraments and Teaching (These are THE Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven). He taught we are to be His Church, remain in His Doctrine, receiving His Sacraments and Teaching or we do not have God. He rebuked the pharisees for making their own version of His One True Apostolic Catholic Church, just like all 44,000 other Christian Churches have done. Mt 23:1-39, Lk11:37-54, 2 Jn1:9, Heb13:9, Gal1:6-9, Eph 4:4-6, Jn10:16, 17:20-26, 3:5, 6:51-59, 1 Cor 11:23-29, 2 Cor 5:18-20, Jn 20:21-23, Mt18:17-18, 16:18-19, 10:1-4, Mk 3:14-19, Eph 2:19-22, 1 Cor 12:28, 1 Pet 2:6-9, Lk 22:28-32 are a few pertinent verses. Helloo! I think some instances that might help are the Ark of the Covenant in which God was pleased to dwell in the Old Testament, as well as the stable in Bethlehem, the womb of the Virgin, the Upper Room, the home of Lazarus, and many others. And even though not all of these places were places of worship, the Lord was still delighted to come to them in His love and with His abundant grace. How much more a place built and dedicated solely for the purpose of true worship of Him? In a very blessed way, Christ's Presence in the Eucharist is a fulfillment of His promise to remain with His disciples to the close of the age (Matthew 28:20). God does not disdain dwelling with men, or even in temples made by them. It is why He was pleased with Solomon's building of the Temple and the Jews' rebuilding of it. It's also why when He is cleansing the temple, Christ does not hesitate to call it "His house, the House of prayer for all the nations." I hope this little excerpt helps and God bless you!

God came down from Heaven into the Temple that he instructed Moses to build, with the help of human hands. Inside the Temple was the Ark of the Covenant that contained the Manna, the Commandments (written with the hand of God), and the staff of Aaron. God came down into the Temple and would speak with Moses face to face. That was the Old Covenant. In the New covenant, we have Jesus in the Tabernacles. The word made flesh. We receive Christ into our bodies at Mass by consuming the Eucharist, so that we may become more like him. We do this because that is what he instructed the twelve at the last supper. It is what his disciples did and have passed on now for over 2000 years.

Jesus shifted the emphasis from freedom from slavery in Egypt to freedom from sin through His sacrifice and the New Covenant which He would institute in His own blood. @@gomezjkv Paul makes it clear in 1 Cor 10:16 that when we partake in the Eucharist we partake of the body and blood of Jesus. In John Ch 6 Jesus tells us his flesh is real food and his blood is real drink, whoever eats with have life eternal. Also, Christ instructs the 12 the night before his crucifixion as he breaks bread, " Do this in memory of me" I could continue with many other passages in old and new testament and we could go back and forth, but that would not help us agree. If you really want to understand what Catholics believe and why, please check out; "Dr. Scott Hahn how the holy Eucharist made him Catholic" Scott Hahn is a Biblical scholar/Theologian and former Protestant Minister that has an amazing story. @@chrisgunn9674 Hello again. I just had to add one more response. You write of the Old and New Covenants. Yes, God dwelt within the temple but under the New He dwells within those who believe in Him. There is no more need for a man-made tabernacle. We are the tabernacle of the Lord. We carry the Lord with us wherever we go. And that is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. What we consume passes through the body and cannot enter the heart. Jesus speaks to this in terms of foods that defile but it works both ways. Respectfully. God bless.

A story from the book of 1 Kings, where a prophet by the name of Elijah when he beheld 400 false prophets of the false object of worship called Baal said to them if you think you're God to be the answer then assemble yourselves and call me fire down from heaven; Elijah said to them likewise shall I do the same as the story goes the 400 false prophets of the false being made themselves a bunch of ruckus calling out to the lie they believed. Elijah surely used scripture from the word of God the Old Testament or Old Covenant or Agreement and fire did fall from heaven. The more you get right about God the more he shows up. God is a spirit those that worship him must do so in spirit and in truth. John 4:24 Don't just have faith, have faith in God, and his word. There is surely a type of extreme unpleasantness already in the Earth, have you seen it, are you delivered from it? Job 38:17 "Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?" Job 38:33 "33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?" As a child, I would have dreams in be in many nightmares where underground tentacle monsters could sense my slightest movement and impel me, wars, dreams of persecution, the grim Reaper, things would get wild. I remember calling on the Old Testament name of God Jehovah, and I remember things did not end well for me when I was being assaulted by a witch. However, ever since I was a child the name of Jesus has never failed me, when I began to call on his name Even recently, a spider demon with a human face around the size a 42" TV was crawling on my wall when I awoke from my sleep. I spoke the name of Jesus quite a few times and I attained Mercy unto myself, for that because Jesus has the authority for this reason. John 3:35 " He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." 1 John 2:23 "Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." I believe that God cares for his creation and doesn't want to lose them, because I believed in Jesus and had the humility to honor his name many times throughout my life. I attained mercy through the New Covenant, agreement, or Testament. Only parts of the old still apply. The old prepared place for the New. I believe Love is many things, and is doing many things read 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (KJV) and study the langauge of the time (Middle English) and do for yourself an order of operations properly like you would use in Algebra. A few things I believe Love does it when you matter greatly it is a kindness(: an act to preserve and help you), that never lies to you. John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:14 "And the Word:λόγος(in ancient Greek) message, expression of God's ideas), was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." For if I read James 1:5 (KJV), do not leave out James 1:6,7, and 8 (KJV), and while we at it live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. If there are 18000+ religions in the world I know to whom I say go to save me trouble, the name and the ideas that I will confess as Lord to be serving of and to call my friend. Proverbs 4:19 “The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.” A concept of the word is the idea that is behind it or what should pop into your head by what the author is meaning. If you do not have the idea of the word correct you have a misconception and it changes the whole story. Read the KJV, pray for wisdom, pray without ceasing: don't go a day without it.

Catholics do good works but a person is saved and forgiven eternally by trusting alone in the finished work of Jesus and the cross. Jesus Himself makes us worthy to take communion, Jesus make us righteous by faith in what Jesus did. God gives us a new heart and we want to obey Him, The Bible plainly says you take the communion or whatever you want to call it to remember what Jesus did for you. A long time ago Catholics started things that Paul never taught. Paul's letters are the doctrine to the church. We receive Jesus and are saved when we trust the finished work of Jesus and the cross. see First Corinthians 15:1-4, see 2nd Cor. 5:17-21. Catholics mix teachings to the Jews with teachings to the Body of Christ. Read Romans, Romans 5:17 says we receive the gift of being right with God, it does not come through the stomach.

Christ fills all things everywhere with himself, therefore all is his body and blood, all is Eucharist, truly thanksgiving! When Christ fills something with himself, he and it become one, there is no separation between them. The idea that Catholics have a lock on Christ and can deny Christ to anyone is absolutely against the very nature of Christ. Christ went to those who the religious wouldn't and continues to do so. I am pretty sure Christ can take care of himself, He has conquered all things, never ever deny him to anyone. Never deny His presence in ALL things (evidenced by the Cross). Jesus was most harsh on the religious because they embrace separation. When religion defines love as willing the good of another, they have lost access to the Kingdom. The definition of love Christ illustrated is relationship at any cost to redeem all (the Cross, descended to Hell) and asks all to do the same (all saying come in the New Jerusalem). The opposite of evil is not good, it is Love, evidenced by the first not good being Adam was alone/separated. True justice is restoring all to their creation in Christ because ALL was created in and through Christ therefore ALL is inherently good at the core (love, made in image and likeness of God/Trinity). Sin is a covering that one takes on through deception, the fire of love burns this covering off.

Romans 8:9-11 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. 10But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. 11And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. I am not Catholic and do not need to be, no one does. The Spirit of God dwells in me and I am God's temple. It is unnecessary to do any ritual to have the presence of God. You have heard it said "where two or more are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them" his grace is sufficient for me

I’m a believer in the idea that you don’t have to be Catholic to partake in communion. The idea that you must be Catholic to have the Eucharist is not seen anywhere in scripture (I know Catholics will disagree). Anyone who follows Jesus, believes in Him, and accepts Him as your savior is allowed to consume in His body and blood, Catholic and non-Catholic.

You aren’t the final authority on what is true or not. You are not in communion with Him because you are not under the teaching Authority of His Church. You reject His Church, His Authority IN His Church and belief in what He said about the Eucharist. You are incurring judgement as St Paul warns because you receive unworthily which is sacrilegious. Your opinion of what Scripture means by what it says is of no bearing on Truth.

Yet all the saints have experienced a literal hunger/thirst/death. I was with my gf in Mass last week and the Priest said, "I was a Protestant and converted to Catholicism because when you walk into a Protestant church you won't see Jesus" 🤣(in reference to the "likeness" of a jesus figure hanging in the sanctuary). @@josephpostma1787 Yes, I mean that a literal interpretation (such as Fr. Mike says in "The Hour That Will Change Your Life", the full speech that this video is taken from) of John 6 would require that the Eucharist be a medicine that ends hunger/thirst/death literally for all people that receive it in good faith. Sorry if this is confusing, you have to watch the full speech. He really starts talking about it around 22:30 in the speech. I think a symbolic interpretation of John 6 may be more appropriate here. Did you know that The Marian Faith was never Mentioned by Jesus or His Apostles? Just ask your “Priest”. You can’t believe in The Gospel of Christ and believe one cannot be Saved with the Cooperation Mary at the same time. The two positions are opposite of each other. One is right and one is wrong. Either Christ’s Sacrificial Death on the Cross was payment enough to Redeem all who have Faith alone in Christ or it wasn’t. I urge YOU to read the New Testament YOURSELF to find the Answer. I’ll give you a clue: Ephesians 2: 8-10.

I’ll give you a clue: If I weren't Catholic, I'd look for the Church that the world despises, for the world despised Jesus, and he would be there. - Fulton Sheen Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me.". Things seemed to be going pretty well. That is until Jesus said “For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.” This was too much for many of his disciples and “From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.” Jesus turns to the 12 and asks, “Will ye also go away? Vs 61, Jesus did not back down, for He said, "Does this offend you?" it offends protestants. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Jn 20:21, "As the Father has sent Me, I also send you." Jn 17:18, "Even as thou hast sent Me into the world, so I have sent them into the world." Jn 17:22-23, "And the glory that thou hast given Me, I have given to Matt. 28, 18-20: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye, therefore. and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Jesus says to the crowd, "He who believes and is baptized will be saved." But in reference to the same people, Jesus immediately follows with "He who does not believe will be condemned." This demonstrates that one can be baptized and still not be a believer. This disproves the Protestant argument that one must be a believer to be baptized. There is nothing in the Bible about a "believer's baptism." "Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior," or "Ask Jesus into your heart" isn't the biblical answer. It’s important to be saved from hell, damnation, and the stain of original sin, but what are we saved for? We are saved for union with Christ. Our salvation began when we were born again through baptism and God’s own Divine Life was restored in our souls, making us like Adam and Eve were in the Garden before the Original (first) Sin. As we go through life, we are united with Christ through the Sacraments he left as gifts for us, especially through Penance (forgiveness of our sins committed since Baptism) and the Eucharist (partaking of God’s own Life, His own Divine Nature, 2 Peter 1:4) - until that day when we are truly united with Him in heaven. Scripture teaches that one’s final salvation depends on the state of the soul at death. As Jesus himself tells us, "He who endures to the end will be saved" (Matt. 24:13; cf. 25:31-46). One who dies in the state of friendship with God (the state of grace) will go to heaven. The one who dies in a state of rebellion against God (the state of mortal sin) will go to hell. (For the teaching on venial (non-deadly) and mortal (deadly) sins, see 1 John 5:16-17) What I must do to be saved: *I must be baptized with water and the Spirit. Mark 16:16, John 3:3-5, Titus 3:5, I Peter 3:20-21. (Exceptions: [1] If I desire Baptism but die before I can be baptized with water and the Spirit, God accepts my desire to be baptized, and [2] If I am killed (martyred) because of my faith, but I have not had the opportunity to be baptized, God accepts my death as my baptism, called the Baptism of Blood). * I must do the will of God the Father. Matthew 7:21 * I must keep the Commandments of God. Matthew 5:19-20, Matthew 7:21, Matthew 19:17, 1 Timothy 6:14, and others. * I must accept the Cross (suffering). Matthew 10:38, Matthew 16:24-25, Mark 8:34, Luke 9:23, Luke 14:27. Phil 1:29, and others. * I must be a member of God's true church. Acts 2:46-47. * I must confess my sins. James 5:16, I John 1:9, John 20:19-23 * I must heed the words of St. Peter, the first Pope. Acts 11:13-14, Acts 15:7. * I must eat the flesh and drink the blood of Jesus Christ. John 6:51-58, I Corinthians 10:16-17, 11:23-30. * I must do unto others as I would have them do unto me and love my neighbor as myself. I must feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, visit the sick and those in prison or give other aid to those in need. Luke 10:33 ff, Mt 25:31-46. "Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are very pleasing to God" Hebrews 13:16. Good works don’t save us, but we will be judged by them. *I must strive to be holy. "Strive for peace with everyone and for that holiness without which no one will see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14 *I must endure (persevere) to the end. Matthew 10:22, Matthew 24:13, Mark 13:13. And ... ? What else must I do? Catechism #432 The name "Jesus" signifies that the very name of God is present in the person of his Son, made man for the universal and definitive redemption from sins. @@bibleman8010 Thanks for the Sermon. I’m always happy to hear the Word of God. When Jesus said in John 10:9-10 “I am The Door”, I’m sure you would agree that Jesus is not An actual Door. When Jesus said “I AM the way in John 14:6, of course Jesus wasn’t claiming to be an actual foot path or walk way , would you not agree? Certainly these were Metaphors. The Blood and wine Jesus spoke of was a metaphor for believing in the Blood He shed and his Body he gave up on the Cross as Payment for our Sins, with every part of your Being, Absorbing the Spirit of God. This is my conclusion. If I were to say that I eat, sleep and Breath Jesus, it would be a Metaphor for my time spent thinking of Jesus. It would be a misunderstanding for some to believe I’m actually Eat the Body of Jesus and such. Besides that, in order for The Flesh and Blood of Jesus to eaten, He would have to come back to Earth and be crucified over and over again every time any one partook of we call the Lords Supper. Jesus Died once and for all time as it states in Romans 6:10. He’s not sacrificing his body time and time again. Since you read and use Scripture and wouldn’t veer from the Teaching or Christ or His Apostles, you believe that Faith in Christ is where and Salvation is obtained. This is what Scripture says over and again, and that this is the gift of God as it says in Ephesians 2: 8-10. But how can you believe that when this is not what the RCC Teaches? Catholicism says the Mary is The Mediatrix and to quote from Catholic writings, no one can receive Salvation apart from “the cooperation of Mary”. Now we both know that the Scripture say only through Faith, not Faith plus the cooperation with His Mother. We both also know that the Marian Faith is not based on ANY scripture in the Bible. It’s a belief based on what the Bible doesn’t Say rather than what it says. In fact The Marian Faith teaches the exact opposite of what Jesus and His Apostles Taught. So how can you believe in something that Jesus never authorized. To do so does not make you a Christian, it makes you a Catholic. Perhaps you can show me where I’m wrong using only Scripture. Right dividing and understanding Scripture is the goal we both share do we not?

@@randym.7238 Vs 54, "Whoever eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up on the last day." Did He say to eat the symbol of His flesh? Vs 55, Jesus said, "For My flesh is meat indeed, and My blood is drink indeed." Vs 56, Jesus said, "He that eats My flesh and drinks My blood dwells in Me, and I in him." Did He say, 'He that eats a symbol of My flesh...'. How can a mere symbol fulfill this promise? Does only a symbol of Christ dwell in us? I thought GOD Himself dwelt within us, 1John 4:12-13. Vs 59, This verse shows that Jesus taught this discourse to all the people. Vs 60,They doubt a third time when many disciples said, "This is a hard saying, who can hear it"? The Jews were instilled by many Old Testament verses, admonishing them not to consume blood. See Deut 12:23, Lev 17:11and 14. They must have thought this was something akin to cannibalism. Is this what you think too? At any point did Jesus back down? Explain to me, if this chapter is symbolic, why did He not explain the symbolism to them? Vs 61, Jesus did not back down, for He said, "Does this offend you?" He knew their thoughts and He certainly knew the Old Testament verses about the consumption of blood. In the next verse, He separated spiritual things from earthly things. Vs 63*, Jesus said, "It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing. The words I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life." Did He say He was speaking figuratively or in parables? This is the second verse detractors use to try to "prove" that Jesus spoke figuratively for the whole chapter. Did Jesus say "My" flesh? No, He said "the" flesh. What Jesus had said was, that we cannot accept this mystery if we accept it in too human a way, by having an earthly view of things. Those who can only think of cannibalism, are they not having an earthly view? See John 3:6, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." Verse 63 means that we should not have a carnal human understanding of His words, but a spiritual understanding. In John, chapter 6, Jesus had not only called the 12 Apostles, there was also much larger group of other disciples. Simon Peter gives the same answer that I find myself saying to those who tell me I should leave the Catholic Church for this reason or that one, “Lord, to whom shall we go?” No matter what a certain priest does, no matter what scandals hit the church, despite whatever corruption or abuse of power might exist, and despite whatever mistakes the Church has made throughout history, “to whom shall we go?” for here is the body and blood of Christ given for a sinner as miserable as I. Matt. 26:26-28; Mark. 14:22,24; Luke 22;19-20; 1 Cor. 11:24-25 - Jesus says, this IS my body and blood. Jesus does not say, this is a symbol of my body and blood. Matt. 26:26; Mark. 14:22; Luke 22:19-20 - the Greek phrase is "Toutoestin to soma mou." This phraseology means "this is actually" or "this is really" my body and blood.😊😊
