What's really good about these guys is how quick their decisions are made and the precision with which they execute them. By time the opponent know what's happening it's already done. 2 sublime touches and they take opponents out of the game
Messi holds the record of most assist in football history. So he is doing better than Modric, but people dont really talk about it unlike what you said
If this is the best pass you have seen, then you should checkout kaka's pass to hernan crespo for milan's third goal against Liverpool in the championsleaue final. Or Kevin de Bruyne's pass to Leroy sane vs sTOKE City in 2017/18
@Iman Omari Pass by kaka is the same level as Modric and Kdb pass is class but not important, its against stoke city and Modric pass is a most clutch pass ever!
@@matija5555 what a nonsense comment🤣🤣🤣🤣KDB player Real Madrid 4 times in the last three seasons and produced 2 assists to Gabriel Jesus but also created the MOST chances out of any midfield on the pitch, including kroos and modric. He created 5 breakthrough passes that Sterling, Jesus, Mahrez and Foden should have scored as they were clean through goal and city would have won the last tie. Where was modric ? 🤣Barely touched the ball.
Pirlo was a different type of player. Not much running with the ball. Pirlo and Paul Scholes were in their own zone and had their own unique maestro play style which in the modern game, i can only think of players like kroos or serigo b. Try to replicate. Where as luka and kdb are more number 10 type of players who offer different things to pitch
@@omshree901 pirlo was not different. Just the same. Why do people think retured players are better? Makes no sence. A midfielder from nottingham is the level of pirlo. Football has evolved and players are just better now. Exept henry. He was diffrent
@@BGjunior "a midfielder from Nottingham is the level of pirlo". LMAO, that's the most stupid take I've ever heard. If u said that in public you'd get laughed at lol.
Lukita is the engine of Real Madrid since 2014 and what a joy he has been, music to my eyes.. i swear even if he scores 20 own goals in a game, i wouldn’t get pissed at all.
@@cg6548 celebrating a nutmeg when you literally lost 😂 We could go on with how poor your defenders were and how Jesus made a clown out of Eder but we don't because we know there's still more to come. On the other hand you guys are celebrating Vini dusting Ferna and Modric nutmegs 😂😂
@@MCFC_AK It's 4-3 for f sake, 1 goal difference, and all the goals you scored were literally gifted to you, a slightly more organised Real Madrid in the next leg could easily kick you out, remember what happened to PSG and they were way more dominant in the first leg than City.
@@blackbox1024 acting as if you didn't get the goals gifted too. 37 year old Ferna won't be playing RB Again for Vini to Rinse him. Also that wasn't a handball by the rules. We made our own errors but we forced you to make errors, there's a big difference. Also don't compare us to PSG. We actually have a team rather than divas. We will go for the win again in Bernabeu and will definitely pull it off.
I've not seen Zizou live , but I think apart from his obvious attacking talents , modric's defensive capabilities puts him apart from other greats of the game in his position.
Zidane is the best midfielder of all time. Modric is the best of the last decade, and KDB is currently the best midfielder in my humble opinion. And there’s always people saying Pirlo is the best, well, he’s not, not even close to the 3 mentioned above.
@@Brad_Pittstop I would agree on Modric being the best of last decade, clear. Kdb or Thiago, or maybe Bernardo even, among the best at this moment but can't say I agree with Zizou being the greatest mid, I mean, I fucking love him, easily my top 5, but no, for me Michael Laudrup holds that place. On his day, Michael made Xavi's passes looks normal, Iniesta's la croqueta as boring, had elegance and touch like Zizou himself and a vision like no one ever had.
Then sneijder deserved it in 2010, did the exact same thing as modric did in 2018 except he won a treble and was top 3 scorers at world cup… van dijk aswel in 2019 😂😂
@@cristianlopez6801 In both cases Messi was the European Golden Shoe winner and the UCL top scorer while also having the most goals and assists combined along with almost every trophies except the UCL. When Modric won Cr7 wasn't European top scorer (although UCL top scorer) or most G/A combined. It was Messi but why Modric won was because unfancied Croatia nearly won the WC as Modric the best player while winning every club trophy Cr7 also won, plus the CWC. It's fine margins. Messi was injured in 2013 and Ribery won everything but Cr7 had better individual numbers so he won it.
@@kurtchester7073 yes in 2013 ronaldo had more goals than messi and ribery combined.. funny enough ribery finished 3rd somehow messi still cane ahead. 2010 sneijder won head to head in semis eliminating barca, messi scored an amazing 0 goals at the world cup and lost 4-0 to germany in quarters. Sneijder reached the final after winning the treble and i think scored 4-5 goals. Sneijder robbed. He had a bigger impact in 2010 for club and country than modric and btw ronaldo had the best goal to game ratio in 2018 messi just played more games and ronaldo scored 4 goals at world cup including hat trick, and leading goalscorer of ucl in which they won again. Ronaldos 2018 season was better than messi 2010 season, sneijders 2010 season was better than modrics 2018 season.. somehow ronaldo lost and messi won 😂😂😂
The playmaking and passing of these two maestros is a joy to watch. Their level of work ethic and productivity is sensational. The GOATS of vision and game IQ.
You cant teach the technique like KDB ,he see things no one ever see ,an exceptional talent while modric is the most hardworking player i have evr seen both are modern era midfield maestros
Even modric does exceptional passes.. he when you say kdb gives passes no one can see.. modric literally didn't even have to look where benzema was when he crossed the ball in the box against chelsea because he knew where the ball will go
The thing about these 2 is their touches and control. All they need is one touch, and the ball would be at your feet. The precision of the passes and the accuracy of their shots. It’s all down to power and control, and they’re definitely 2 of the best in the world.
Kdb is 1,000 times better. Modric is to old and slow. His passes are decent but nothing compared to KDB and he has no vision compared to KDB. KDB> Modric
Lol Modric is a legend of the game and is in the podium for goat midfielders. Kevin “let me talk” De Bruyne hasnt done squat in continental competitions. Just a epl player.
Not really they're both extremely talented I've seen KDB make passes I've never seen before like his assist to Sane against Stoke in the 17/18 PL season and I've also seen Modric make passes that are amazing as well like his assist to Rodrygo against Chelsea. Both are amazing finishers in and out of the box but KDB is a bit better outside the box. Modric is a better dribbler and can get out of tight spaces like magic. KDB is more ambidextrous and its almost impossible to tell if he's right or left footed so to me Modric isn't "clear" they both barely have any weaknesses going forward but they're pretty much even to me. Both a joy to watch technically
@@GunmanNeek I do watch him and I love him and he's a top midfielder one of the best of all time but to say that KDB is technically inferior by a wide margin is just ignorant
@@schwarzmann1 That’s the issue right there “you don’t watch him” so you’re the ignorant one here. I watch both players and anyone with football IQ would see that Luka is a more complete footballer.
Was watching Man City vs Wolves with my brother the other day and was telling him how great KDB is…. 23 minutes into the game he had a hat trick and I looked real smart lol
@@noncynelson2901no we weren't. As a Utd fan i can tell u never thought of bruno better than KDB. At a time his form was something which made us think we got the next KDB but he couldn't sustain that form.
Pogba always had the technical abilities but he doesn’t have the football intelligence these guys have. There are many players with better abilities, better bodies, faster feet, but its the brains that count. Simillar example is Thomas Müller: not fast, mediocre general abilities but he knows what to do and where to be when.
They have it all to be the best in midfield. Composure, Vision, Technique, Teamwork (Know the strategy and what your teammate habit, tendencies, their movement off the ball, their stronger leg) all underpressure, and a really good decision making balanced with taking risks
Clearly you can see how much Luka has contributed to the team in UCL against big teams with the short clips...For Kevin, they use the EPL clips,it just shows how he fared in the UCL...Luka is the most world class midfielder..none compared.
Yea because KDB doing it against Liverpool in the PL is so much easier than Madrid doing it to Chelsea in the UCL. There's no difference. Seeing a pass is seeping a pass. Executing it is executing it. Idiot comment.
@Macolesch Are you on drugs? Modric failed to perform against Barcelona and shows up against Rayo? KDB shows up against Chelsea, Liverpool, PSG and the likes. Not one assist the gone the whole game, but present throughout the whole game.
This kind of players is what we have been lacking in Chelsea. We have no player with this type of Technical ability or gift of passing/through pass. It's just a beauty to watch this 2 always.
Kdb ,he runs things for Manchester city,if you man mark him, or bye pass they midfield, you will have more chance of winning, plus more high balls into there back four.
Modric is the best midfielder alive and top 5 of the 21st century. De Bruyne is the only player that could fill his shoes at Real Madrid, from a Madrid fan.
@@blank1933 Don't remember which player it was but he said that he played against DeBruyne while he just chased Modric, you should go back to some big matches and just watch closely what he does
@@mehedihasanmeraj357 the problem is that Ballon D'or is voting. Statistics in terms of chances creation assist and goals are just there for us to use too.
@@kellyadventure530 yes! But it's also important if a player put impact on the game or not! Leadership, wining mentality, and everything! If we talk about chance creating and technicality, I can say that Neymar is better than Messi! I am not against any player! I am against these British pundits, who are always biased towards English football. For example: a player from England gets higher price tag than a player from other country. The way they compare these things, looks like only England plays football and everyone is just there to watch.
Modric and Benzema has carried the whole Madrid team this season! Just shows that when u have quality, u don’t need quantity. Debruyne is class above everyone else at City. Compared to his efforts, city’s striker r pathetic at their finishing. You very rarely see City strikers beating the goalie. It’s a diff thing that collectively they play well to score goals. But they can’t score in 2v3 scenarios which Benzema has done it so often this season. Just look at that Goal by Rodrigo against Chelsea. You will not see PL teams do that
@@ppate8 lol, hilarious to think that the manager with second most titles of all managers in European football history could still be called a fraud by some kids. Just say that you don't like him instead of come up with stupid bullshit like that.
@@ppate8 barca was doing very well infront of goals with the same fraudiola. Its almost as if sterling, mahrez and Jesus are overhyped trash ... Oh wait! They are indeed.
Kevin tied the record of most assists in the premier league when Aguero was way past his prime and leaving for Barca the year after. When Sergio left, he never got replaced. KDB has the most goals for City in the league this season , you know something is seriously wrong when that happens.
Prime Modric is one of the all time greats. KDB is still in his prime and on his way to become a legend himself. But he’s gonna have to win the CL soon. Seedorf had won 3 CL’s with 3!! different clubs by the time he was 26 or 27. And a lot of players at real won three in a row, albeit with a bit of luck twice against Bayern Munich.
The game of city its more a advantage for de bruynne becaause The construction of city is more slow and a slow based construction helps de bruynne tó see that one player tó playmake it, and The reál Madrid in Last 10 years was a team of counter attack and that type of game needed a solod deffensive issues for Luka and The Last pass could be given from anywhere...
In a game where everybody has almost the same extraordinary physique, the few people who use their brain too make the difference. Not a lot of players use their brain, looks like they just play on autopilot or something. e.g. defenders looking at the ball instead of the opponents' run Don't be lazy and turn your head twice every 5-10 seconds and you won't be surprised ever
I would like to see De Bruyne move to La Liga before he gets too old. Selfishly I'd want him in Barcelona, but I think he would have the Champions League guaranteed if he went to Real Madrid
He is a Man City legend and we love him as much as Aguero or David Silva our greatest players ever, no way he will move at least for the next 4 seasons. Keep dreaming the chanca to win it this year and next one with Haaland there is no à better place to play football
You don't know that. It's a new generation for both teams. Soon Madrid won't have any of the players that helped them win the UCL so many times. He can win the UCL with Barca too if he goes there. Hell, he might win it right now with City
De bruyne is a city legend already he won’t leave any time soon he’s probably up there with silva and toure as technically the best ever players in city
Modric is far clear of de bruyne. You can even see it in the video with the vision and type of passes compared to de bruyne. That’s not mentioning what modric has won…
Also the fact that Modric's highlights in this clip are from the Champions League they had just played and KDB's are from the prem from who knows how long
Maybe bec Modric plays for Madrid the team with the most Ucl's before modric even came there thats why he dominates He also had the best striker at that time benzi and kdb had sterlig and STILL put more Numbers up than modric.@@Flowku
Kdb is so clear of Modric one has the better g/a in less games played and in the hardest league in the worl fam modric couldn't perform in the prem we saw that with spurs.
KDB better in attacking position and luka better at defending tasks, reading game, breaking lines of passing...I don't want to compare them I just can imagine them playing together in one club...that would be brutal
Good players can do what’s expected of them. Great players can do more than what is expected. Micah Richards is right. For almost any other player, there was no good passing option. Somehow De Bruyne makes a good passing option. One that no one else saw.
They are both fantastic midfielders that are specialist in their roles. KDB being a box to box type with great ambidexterity of both feet. Modric reminds me of a hybrid between Xavi and Pirlo, capable of mastering tight spaces of midfield and also delivering accurate passes and incisive long balls. I think they define the definition of the perfect modern midfielder. However if compared with the great midfielders like Zidane, Maradona, they are still not at that level. Maradona on the other hand, is a rarity of one in probably 3 or 4 generations. I rate him higher than CR7 and Messi all down to the terrible conditions of the pitch back in the 80s and the extremely tough tackling style of the defenders back in his time. Yet he moves and gravitates with such magnetic flow with the ball that Messi would find it tough back then.
Man I used to dream about a luka modric-Kevin de bruyne duo in our midfield and I am a Real madrid fan. Both are generational talents. But hey KDB choose to play for City unfortunately he'll have no european trophies 😂
maybe this is just my opinion but any real football fan already know their greatness , i feel like we need to put the light on players that arent really given probs like Camavinga per examle , everytime he subs in he takes control of the midfield and the game it self he always puts pressure and can bring the ball up with ease and no pressure , extremely fast and never stops running makes and he always makes world class passes everytime he lets go of the ball , his finishing isnt the greatest yet but when he gets more minutes and he will get the hang of that and yea he is only 19...
@@lightwarrior8785 great start for a top bracket...ill go on with....platini, pirlo, seedorf, kaka, modric, scholes, makelele, schweinstiger...and this is just a very loose modern day list of people that have outdone KDB by miles.... A GOAT midfilder is too far too soon...i love him and wish he gets his due...but almost all of the above mentioned are on a throne vs KDB
@@babalomakhaba3736 he was injured in the final , by the way benzema carries real, and kdb carries man city. modric was never the main man, it wa cr7 before and now it is benzema, kdb is better than modric
@@avinashtammineedi4058 you are a clown and you shpuld stop watching football. Modric is clear the best midfielder of cl history. He was always the key of Madrid, but the people mostly watch on the strikers. Modric plays a more defensive role than De Bruyne. So he did not get the hype he deserves. Now De Bruyne is still the best player in the pl, but now Haaland is the main man because he scores the most goals.
@@avinashtammineedi4058 Not true.. Modric has stepped up with some magic in the most crucial moments in the biggest games and he also plays deeper, while KdB is offensive and has usually disappeared in the face of adversity (in the past at least, we'll see now if Madrid are up 2-0 or something tomorrow will he step up then?).. Still Modric with the corner assist equalizer in the last minute in the 2014 CL final vs Atletico.. basically all the comebacks last season were either initiated by Modric or he came up with an amazing assist (sometimes both) Even Vini Jr's goal in the final was after Modric with his back turned found a pass through 4 or 5 Liverpool players to play off the pressure and give Valverde a bunch of space so they could score.. Not to say KdB isn't amazing either but Modric has just done so much more from his position and especially at crucial times
"Sterling should have tucked this one away" - well duh, as well as other 8 out of 10 chances he gets. Dude either scores tap ins or against easy opponents..
I think the question of who is better is easy to answer by asking 2 easy questions: 1. Put Modric in the Belgium Golden Generation Team and do they win the World Cup? 2. Put De Bruyne in the Croatian Team and are they still waiting for a repeat of WC 1994?
KDB for the brilliance and world class passes. He never does it when it counts on the big stage. Too relaxed doesn't have that bite or edge to be completely no.1 and win big games. Mentality is a tad weak imo
