I remember them being compared to a lot when Undertale came out. I think it has to do with them both being inspired by Earthbound (SuperBunnyHop has a good video called “Undertale, LISA, and Their Earthbound Connection that you HAVE to check out!!). Oh, and thanks a ton for checking out my video!

I agree that while both games are terrific, they really couldn't be any different from each other in tone, mechanics, and overall game direction.

Both are like Earthbound-like, they use a similar style of that old and beloved Nintendo franchise.

They are objectively similar in Genre and Inspiration, but it definitely stops there and isnt a very helpful comparison given the obviously smaller target audience for Lisa

I think it's because the Lisa series is so different to most games (tonally at least), so people reach for a game with similar inspirations to compare it to when recommending it

Ooooo that's a really good point! LISA does feel like a HUGE game, so I guess the music kind of played into that illusion.

Another point to add here Sometimes when you enter a tunnel that goes from point A to point B, you can hear the theme of either the area you just left or the one you are about to enter, almost like actually reaching a new place that looks way different than the one you were in

Goxy Oh, I definitely agree! I guess I expected the video to be a little bit longer based off the script I wrote, which is why I said it wasn’t the most insightful conclusion. It was pretty fun going down the rabbit hole of how dingaling composed some of the songs in FL studio; I even remember there being a steam thread talking about exactly what presets he used in some synthesizers. And I appreciate it so so so much, It’s growing steadily and I’ll keep on uploading until it does!!

@@takune I highly recommand checking the bizzare phenomen that is Lisa's fangame fandom, some people will mostly recommend you that the Lisa the Pointless and Lisa the Hopeful are the best to check out...but there are so many gems that people just need to expirience, like Lisa the Timeless or all the Pointless fangames. I mean the fangames of a fangame. Like the Timeless has a great atmosphere and music is phenomenal, and a fan made expansion for Lisa the Pointless called The Schoolar of Wibur Sin Edition, which expands the games gameplay from 6 hours to over a 12 if you are willing to explore. And if you are not going to play any of those I recommend to check their music for a fun experience.

Hey Brener, I think the main point that I was trying to get at was that the game surprises you with the way it's soundtrack is presented. The way Dingaling made the music isn't very relevant to what makes the soundtrack great, but I thought it would be fun to include it. Thanks for your support!!!!
