So far in 2024, the Sydney Swans have a 13-1 record, and they've beaten the likes of Collingwood, Essendon and Geelong. So what is it that makes the Swans so great? Enjoy the video!
Nice vid. The best thing about the swans is it’s not a few men dominating and the other struggling to keep up. It’s a bunch of blokes in the same page and same level.
Most of the current team was already developing really well and only get better with more experience. By far the biggest reason for their improvement this season is Brodie Grundy. He is back to his best as a dominant ruckman and his presence in the Swans midfield is benefitting the rest of the team.
The Sydney Swans are 'Surgical' in their cutting up other teams. They make the other teams look ragged & not as efficient in their disposals. Sydney are going to be very hard to beat & I'm saying that as a Carlton supporter.
Anytime the Swans get spoken about as clear premiership favourites you get 12 year olds and casuals talking about 2022 grand final, people forget just how young that swans team were and they were years ahead of where they should have been. They have played without a decent ruck for years and see what happens when they finally get an AA ruck? i called it last year that Grundy would end up at the Swans because it was their biggest hole to fill. They've been lucky to stay healthy now being 3 games clear they can start resting players, they'd have to lose 5 games from here just to drop out of the top 4 and theres no way they are losing that many.
power scared me a few rounds ago but im less worried, now more worried about lions at gabba, who we have been 1-4 in the alst 5 and dons who we are 4-1 and over the last 20 are 15-5 but have a habit of making these close games. that and dogs for a second time may be trouble. wouldnt be surprised if we cough up games towards our finals campaign but also wouldnt be surprised if we go undefeated, good analysis mate.
I loved the video ❤! I'm an avid Swans supporter, and I don't think anyone will beat them. Although, I'm a tad concerned for when they play Brisbane in Brisbane.
I am a Richmond supporter and I was so excited when I saw we won. Cant believe our only win until rd.13 was against the one loss, swans. Sad that Tom lynch got injured in that game but we hung on and won
Great video...although with the Richmond game in round 6 2020, so many details often get forgotten about. Dimma in his post-match presser accused Sydney of having the loose player (Mills) in defence but it was Richmond who were playing the extra in the middle and Sydney were just keeping a 6-6-6 structure. Dimma later called Horse and apologised for those comments. The game was played in torrential rain for an entire half, both sides had injuries going in, Sydney lost JPK in the second quarter and Heeney was hampered with something early then late in the fourth he had that really nasty ankle injury that ended his season. Yes, it was an ugly game, but both coaches plus a whole lot of other factors are to blame for it. It doesn't detract much from your point that the Swans altered their game style the following season and have kept refining it to where it is today; with the natural improvement of Warner, Gulden, Rowbottom and others. It's a very good time to support the Bloods.
I have been supporting the Sydney swans since 2020 and in my honest opinion the swans are probably gonna end up losing atleast a couple more games by the end of the year but it could be less since Callum mills coming back from injury next week but I could be wrong so the swans might get around 4 losses by the end of the year probably due to people trying to injure the top stars players in the number 1 team like the key forwards or midfielders the reason why Im saying this is because they did it to N.daicos in 2023 when he got injured but in general in my opinion there about an 90% chance of the swans winning the grand final and I think everyone can agree that it’s probably gonna be a blues v swans grand final
I'm a port supporter and I don't see any way port are beating Sydney. I think our midfield can match Sydney with the speed they play at but only for 1 or 2 quarters before they just stop running and Sydney will just take off.
First let’s talk about port after their unbelievable loss against Brisbane, after leading in the first 5 minutes they just let it all go which lead to that enormous loss. Port have so much potential with unbelievable players such as rozee, butters, Horne Francis etc but it’s so obvious that they lack players to support these rising stars. If they rebuilt this team with a good ruck and more reliable forwards such as the new players such as Oli Lord they would be way better, Don’t forget what they did to the Dons, in that game they were unstoppable against them, if they played as they did in that game they would destroy
i go for swannies since 2020 and we are prob gonna end up losing atleast 3 or 4 or 5 games by the end of the year prob due to people trying to injure the top stars like they to to N.daicos in 2023 when he got injured but 90% chance of us winning gf its prob gonna be a blue v swans gf
There are only two teams who can come close to Sydney in terms of beating in my opinion. Them being Carlton on their day or Collingwood in Collingwood fashion.
...you'd hope they win the grand final after naming your video something like "why the swans are so unbeatable l".... Swans were favourites in 2014 and 2016 ....
Syndny will lose eventually it happend to Collingwood last year were we lost 2 matches then lost hawthorn in round 20 I think so they’ll lose a couple I reckon they’ll lose to essoden Brisbane Collingwood
Yep, sides with a win loss ratio such as The Swans need a loss towards the end of the season to get their minds back on track. I predict they'll lose at least 2 games towards the end of the season, with Brisbane being one of the obvious losses. I am a Swans' member and am still waiting for them to lose. Ahhh, the agony, but it's a great ride at present and they are playing brilliant football.
