Today I’m going to be telling you what I think makes the best Ken doll and what to look for and what to avoid when shopping for one and also where to find some awesome and realistic stuff for them! When do I post?
I post every Saturday at 11:00am ET (8:00am PT, 9:00am MT, 10:00am CT) and if for some reason I'm not able to post at that exact time or day for a particular week, I'll make sure to let you know ahead of time on my Community Tab or Stories. idk if it's just me but i love the old 2010 ken and ryan fashionista dolls. idk, something about the face molds just looks so nice. i'm a huge fan of the articulation too. never really liked the basic 4 points, but the elbow, wrist, and knee ones work pretty well.

I love the Ryan fashionista doll! It was my only actual Ken doll and I loved the hair (I always hated plastic Ken hair as a kid and still do) and the face mold is really nice.

What's frustrating to me is how MATTEL feels the need to put his name plastered on his shirts. I have some really cool shirts for Ken but are completely ruined because his name is on his shirt. Who wears their names on their shirts anymore? Oh video idea...you seem crafty. You should see if you can alter ken shirts to remove his name and then post a "how to video".

What I did was trim the top of his hair, dice the cut-off bits into tiny pieces to make my own flocking. I apply it to the painted sides with clear waterproof silicone caulking. It is quick and inexpensive and doesn't come off in water. It can be removed easily with acetone if you don't end up liking it, but it is always a perfect match because you are using his actual hair.

I love that red hair Ken. I've never seen a Ken that I like until him. I love curly red hair, so I thought he was perfect before the resyle. I'm so impressed with the doll clothes! Hopefully I can learn to make some soon. If you haven't already could you do a video on the best Etsy shops that sell doll clothes patterns? I'm especially interested in the ones that have the best instructions. & of course modern styles. I was disappointed by outdated patterns in sewing catalogs.

Did you know that there is at least one ken fashionista with "plastic" hair that can be removed? I saw a video a couple of weeks ago when some one did it and the put rooted hair in its place.. I thought it was awesome Oh and the Emmett Twilight collector doll is beautiful as well, just too expensive

i think you can swap Chase's body in an articulated body... I feel like that doll with the GAP shirt has a good match with his skin tone... But that's just my opinion, do whatever you like Also I totally agree with you about the best for Ken Dolls Love you Ava ❤

Ava- Your Ken dolls look good! I just like a male doll to look really male to me. Also, on male dolls I prefer rooted hair also. If they have hair on the face, I like a light beard. So, yeah- masculine is a must.

delightful dolls yay!! omg I loved this review! and this video! this honestly! is going to really help me out interesting and enjoyable! I really like that you did a head swap! also idk if you do know this but it can be helpful also full create goes to everything dolls! when your parting the dolls hair for the part line you take the dolls main part line and split it in half and lay it down on each side and the part line should be there

I agree with you 100% on everything. I love made to move dolls especially the ken dolls. You have amazing taste in dolls and clothes. I love how sellers on Etsy makes designer clothes for Barbie and Ken dolls. I have the new doll you got and out of all my ken dolls with sculpted hair he’s my number on favorite. I bought and love the Native American Signature Ken. Thinking of getting him some leather duds. I also like a Ken who is articulated and has rooted hair and a handsome face. Also historically correct clothing. I have bought three kens so far, and considering which my next ones will be, I'm considering movie characters from classic films mostly. Watched Gone With the Wind recently and thought I would want Scarlett, but I think now I want Rhett more! He's got a great outfit. : )

I love 3 male fashionistas with molded hair. There are others that are okay. #184 (in this video), hip hoodie (or fashioista 183), and #176 with frosted tips are my favorites. I wish that they'd give all male dolls rooted hair like they do with barbies. & #184's facemold reminds me of the merman. I need more realistic clothes for my ken dolls too.

This was very helpful! I just bought Jimin and JK from BTS collection but their bodies aren't very articulated, (uh Mattel they're dancers!)
