I think the low starting base on the attributes that aren't considered essentials for their roles let the trio down. If you put a soft limit on the key attributes of 14-16 and had everything else between 5-10 they may have got a bit more game time and developed more quickly.

I think starting with 1 stamina might have been a bit of an issue for Dewey's and Louie's playing time 🤔 being able to run for longer than 5 minutes seems important in a sport like football 🫠

I can see why they're not starting. The coach says, "give me 5 laps." They're like, "hold on, gotta smoke this pack first", then collapse after running 20m.

Hi, kev ! the problem is that AI starts players based on CA and not on stats... You gave them far too low and far too high stats in the same time, so their CA is very low compared to the real stats they have... So even if they score every game, the AI does not play them..

Feels like having their important attributes for the roles so high means there’s no room for them to develop as they’d mainly be working on those attributes - maybe if you had a starting rounded base with clear highlights for the role rather than the 1s across the board? Would be interesting to see if technicals/mentals/physicals are king ie start each twin almost maxed on one of those columns & see who develops better

This experiment demonstrates the ruinous effect of having rubbish for key attributes, overriding anything it could suggest about quality positive ones. If you're so slow that you barely crawl from your kickoff position all match long and are exhausted by the prospect of walking up towards the opponent's third, then your ace finishing and 2 meter superhuman aerials aren't going to do a lick of good. The follow on redo of this should be giving everyone a baseline of something like 8 or 10 across the board in all attributes, and then pumping up the positionally relevant skills for each player from there.

I think you should redo this without tanking the other stats so hard, pace and stamina should be at least 9 or 10 on any forward... hamstrung them.

You should start your test players with 20 ambition and 20 professionalism, as these two attributes affect player progression, more so than determination. Especially prof who is the most important attribute in the entire game

I think the takeaway is that 1s in important areas is far more punishing that 20s or potential ability are boons. Curious what a lower current ability player with middling attributes in everything would have done. My guess is slightly better.

Strength, Heading and Pace are all you need, it's why Davie Selke can be turned in to a beast on this game.

Next time you do something like this put them in a team from League 2, so they atleast play for a season in the start

My guess, due to his pace Huey will play a lot of games early and race ahead, no pun intended. Then Dewey will catch him up, with Louie being the last to peak. But then Huey due to playing a lot of games early will be the first to burn out followed Louie due to having low physicality. Dewey will be the last to retire, due to his physicals.

Hi Kev, with an experiment like this, I think you should lock them at the same club with good training facilities and fix them into position with a created tactic. For example if you did this same experiment with midfielders (Technical, Mental, Physical). Create a 4-3-3 tactic with 3 CMs on CM-support duty. Fix them into the position and see who has the best career that way

My best player this year has been Myron Boadu. Came into a 17th Bournemouth and finished top scorer and halfway through his second season, 20 goals in 17

In my experience, while i love a good advanced forward, the false nine has tended to be the most lethal of the three. Not only can they bag 30 goals a season, they can also do 30 assists comfortsbly.

Stamina being so low is likely a massive issue, they will only last like 15min.

When you checked the 'Edit Player Attribute Details', they all had different consistency ratings. I think this might have had an effect on the results.

Kev, when you do an experiment and it doesn't turn out, you don't have to post it. You can change a few variables and run it again. They are way too specific of players, not good enough as footballers to actually play at the top level.

I think that the Advanced Forward will have the best career. He just seems to be the most balanced overall, although the False Nine is pretty close. I would be shocked if Mr. Target Forward ends up being the best since you are simulating this and not actually managing yourself, haha! If you were managing them, TF would have like 500 corner goals in his career.

I think the quick guy would be the best at a high level. Their strong attribute are more importants and as they are not max out, they will still improve with the years, whilst the other two won't improve in the strong attributes and will only be able to be less lame in their weak atributes

The use of the 1s generally probably hurt given 5s dont cost any extra CA so theyll have spent years getting to the 5 just in training time

good vide im at tonbridge angels in vanarama south id kill for a tall left back , hoswever in rl id say mental is better i saw Michael Owen as a Liverpool fan first game he game on for god robbie fowler against wimbledon they stuck vinnie jones on him and yes he was atheltric had pace but he could read the ball , same with rush not particularly athletic good goal scorer , same with dalglish , beckham again not athletic but new were ball was i actually met beckhan amd he was lot smarter people give him credit for , im playing a 433 dm left wing back and a invertted wing back on defend on right side and my tall striker as a poacher hes scored 10 in 4 just played my 17 yr old sriker firsst game hat trick

3:21 With how the matchengine is currently I would thing that the Advanced Forward will do best. I can see the AI retrain the False Nine as a winger or attacking midfielder and mostly play him in those kinds of positions instead EDIT: 3:29 Well damn. seems the AI thinks like I do. EDIT2: Yeah, about as expected. AI still trash at developing young players and doesn't now what to do with Target Forwards. Who are absolute Assist-beasts and Set Piece Monsters in the hands of a player. I would have had Huey AF-A and Dewey TF-A upfront with Louie behind as AP-A and just run a narrow diamond behind them. You would have a pure dynasty running that setup where Louie and Dewey would easily get into the double digits for assists while Huey is a 50 goals a season minimum striker and Dewey would get double digits from corners.

I think Big Lad will take it because he should be most effective at a young age and therefore get picked up by big clubs. But if Quick Guy makes it to a top league he'll probably win out in the end. No pace and no strength for a F9 feels hard to overcome

False 9. Passing is very important. So it actually came down to what missing attributes makes the player the most unusable.

I'd rate agility over strength any day for a striker, but strength equal that of a mouse is... a bit low. I still think the more physically well rounded Huey will develop better and have the "best" career long-term.

Rerun with 10 stats on physicals that aren't needed by the position. 1's aren't good enough for pace and stamina. :(

Hi Kev, when i did these type of videos on last years game i see the same thing happen if the starting current ability was under a hundred sometimes even leading to the players retiring early still in their tweties, even if i started sending them to league 1 or league 2 teams bigger clubs would snap them up and then not play them like in this video, i havent done any experiment like this on this years game but on last years i found that around 105 to 110 current ability was the sweet spot

Other option is placing a pre-arranged transfer to a championship team, 3 years from the start, putting the players in a league two/National League, so they will have atleast 3 and a half seasons before moving to a big coub

Haaland is perfect . But Stamina for a strikers is vital . Huge mistake you made while making those two . Both of them will go to poor energy in 20 min LOL - thats why they are not starters

Matt Smith is an older player at Salford at the start of the game who is similar to this: 20 heading, 20 jumping reach, great mentals, but pace and acceleration are 1 or 2 in both aspects. Was my top scorer in League One the first year because he just gets so many clean, accurate headers from freekicks or corners.

This vid shows how the super clubs hoard young prodigies and fail their development. All start with 10 professionalism the friend of the self developer. F9 had 15 in 2029, TF was 10. AF is 12. Events dear boy, events. Big question, with new set pierce engine why TF is not scoring bucket loads of headers?

the stats are too far apart. 1 for pace will ruin him as a player and will never get a chance to develop in a youth system properly. Id say try it again but balance the stats more.

You destroyed them with 1 in all the other attributes. Stamina of 1 must be the most shocking of the lot. If you cant run, you cant be a superstar.
