You are so courteous to the sales people and counter help associates. It is so sweet and lovely. I worked in retail my whole life and I am so appreciative of that part of your videos. It really means so much to people working in customer service. It really can make someone's day when they have customers like you. Saying thank you is nevet out of style. ❤️🤩🙏
The depth and presentation of your knowledge is so inspiring, Dawn. Its such a treat listening to a real pro do their thing, I could listen to your hauls for hours.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This was the best shopalong, Ever! Fantastic content, incredible jewellery, Fabulous host and the best therapy I could ask for right now. Thankyou Dawn, for everything! 🤗 💜✌️
I have one very similar to the purple disk necklace . It is for a friend's birthday along with same shade purse and same shade jumper ! She loves purple !
All I can say is WOW! Your voice and smile tell me how much fun you are having. Wish I was there. I really like your style and that turquoise square ring you wear is my style. I love square rings.
The 925 twisted collar and Native American fetish necklace🤩🤩🤩❤️ the prices on the treasures you find👍 I have 2 of the Italian flower vases, never knew what they were…
I am jealous! My thrift stores are nowhere near the quality of your store. I am in the northern subs of Chicago too picked over and sorted out for the online store. Congrats!!
I never paid much attention to the newer products. Watched this video and found a Hardy bracelet in my drawer. I think I must have sold off the bag full of it at my yard sale 😢 Thank you
Its so fun and informative to watch you go. I'm clearing my grandmothers hoarder house and what wouldn't I give to have your eye/expertise as I sort her 400+ brooches 🤣
So glad you went back for the amber and black LV because I was chomping at my nails yelling at my screen nooo don't leave them, you gotta take em with you 😩!!! Thank goodness you went back the next morning, and that they slept on all those LV peices.
The way you wrote this I could just see someone yelling at the screen getting so emotional made me chuckle, but I'm happy you settled down lol. This was my first time watching her and I subscribed so fast! She's amazing at what she does.
You deserve the luck Dawn. I have watched you for over a year. You work so hard and get so excited. I have learned so much from you. So much more to learn. Thank you!
“Ok, Im going back to the jewelry….oooh, look at this…..ok, going back to the jewel……WOW Look at this……okay, back to the OOOH look at this”! Said like a true addict! Did she ever make it back to the jewelry department? This was fun to watch! AND it caused me to look for an American Thrift near me.
I love how your mind thinks Dawn and how excited you get and yes it's so addictive to go thrifting, you really got some beautiful things for sure👍🏼! I wasn't doing the math but I knew you are going to come out good on the things you got which is one of the reasons you do what you do besides how fun it is to find all the great items that you find. Another great video! May peace, love and light always follow you sister.
Hello Dawn. I am new on Your site. You beautifully presented all jewellery. I am collecting jewellery too and i am glad to find a person who has a such knowledge. Thanks for that.
So much fun. So much education! Great score, and thank U Dawn!! Keep chalcedony earrings w/its matching necklace for your auction. The crystal chandelier pendant-that’s a plain keep-keep because U “don’t have anything like it.” Gorgeous!
😊hi, watch all your videos ty for the hard work you put into them. In the haul you show a pair of silver brutalist earrings with pearl that you needed to research. I have very similar pair that I've been researching also. The hallmark is 925 GJ with sideways letter S. Was thing Georg Jensen but not sure as it would be a nice find. I'd like to show you pics but don't see a way in this comment section. Ty
Hi Dawn I'm in Australia and your American Thrift looks like our Savers right down to the pricing tags. We call it Op Shopping down in Oz, we don't use the word thrift. Our independent stores are called Op Shop or Opportunity Shop.
How absolutely fantastic! I only just found your chanel and what a pleasure. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. The blue earrings stunning, amazing colour and size, I'm from Australia and there is no way you would see anything that size without paying thousands if true opal. What a great hall I could only dream of finding treasure like that here in an op shop!
It's been raining here for three day's, so I have been watching your videos the whole time. Cannot wait til it clears up and I can go the local antiques store and Goodwill. I'm excited to see what I can find. 😊 Thanks for sharing.
@@HUDSONVINTAGE First haul was not bad. Found lots of real pearls and natural stones. A pink and black glass bead necklace that you would probably LOVE. It has a lucite feel to it. Fabulous. Had soooo much fun. Thanks so much for bringing back my jewelry SPARK. Your videos are great.👍
I LOVE the pieces that you were able to pick up!!! I totally forgot about Lori Bonn. Von Maur in my city used to carry it and at that time there was no way I could afford to purchase but only one small green ring.
You found treasures. I am excited for you. We don't have jewelry like that in our town. If I find them, usually the price is triple on each piece. Our stores are way over picked.
Awesome haul Dawn I get excited when I find good items too the adrenaline rush and excitement great watching you pick out the items I would of I was yelling at the screen to look at the black and silver bracelet that you went back for lol Hi from Australia
The clear glass 'vase" you picked up is for a hibiscus bloom. It can lie in there all day without water and will close at the end of the day. (Even if you put the stem in water it will only last one day.)
The glass flower is made at a lot of glass blowing studios. I have a friend who makes them. You stand them in flower pots and pour water in them to water planets. At least, that was their original purpose.
That was an awesome video Dawn! I love watching you thrift shopping. You found a lot of amazing pieces. I’m really curious to see what your gem tester says about the purple stone pendant necklace. I had a lavender jade bracelet that looked like that stone. Kunzite looks like that too. Whatever it is, it’s gorgeous and so is everything else! Great score!!
Another fantastic show! I learn so much from you! I can’t wait to hear about your trip to Mexico and what you are learning! I noticed how fast you recognized and moved from one Mexican 925 piece, saying it wasn’t from a good part1
I just found your videos & they are awesome!! I love the 14k ring that you said to grab if you’re nearby. What store is it? I’m in NJ but would travel for that ring. Thank you & keep your great videos coming please!
This is the best thrift store I've ever seen. When I'm back home in Jersey, I'm definitely going there! If you go back, can you possibly get the bracelet at 26:04 that you put back?
With all the peeps apparently combing all the thrift stores to resell on ebay or whatever, what is left for “just shoppers”? No jewelry in GW stores anymore ~ Garage sales way down…
Some of the pieces are stunning, although quite pricey for thrift. In the UK the prices in charity shops are getting crazy. My favorite charity shop in Wales, 'Help the aged' has trays that you take any 5 items for £1. The pieces I've found make me feel quite proud of myself, which isn't easy. But I now give £3. Just yesterday I found 2 square brooches which have small flowers encased in clear plastic. I need to research it. Part of the reason I'm now subscribed to your channel for knowledge, and the jewellery.
@@HUDSONVINTAGEAlso, just a cheeky idea about gorgeous looking decanters or bottles. I fill them with bath oil, salts or bubble bath. 'Visitors' are seemingly impressed by my collection which include a huge cut glass decanter filled with blood-red, Radox, wrapped with black lace and ribbon and a label that says "Victorian vampire tears" and another called "Expired love potion". I have Adult female ADHD, so forgive my ranting please🤦🏼♀️😔🐶
I love these videos. I wish there was some way to see the designers signatures or hallmarks though. I never seem to be able to find information on the designers. I have a horrible time getting the spelling of the names right.
Hi Dawn loving your thrifting videos, you're so knowledgeable! Just one thing, would it be possible to pop up the names of the jewellery designers you pick up. I haven't heard of that many and it's sometimes difficult to catch what you say. I'm learning and everytime I hear a new (to me) designer it's fun to research them. Thank you so much for all you do, Kind Regards Rachel (Scotland).
