You can change music and wipers speed from the steering wheel. You can select drive mode to chill for o more relaxing driving. Also you should pick the smaller 18” wheels for more comfortable riding.

This comment section, like many on Teslas, are full of how great the technology caveated by how to get it to do traditionally simple tasks such as using blinkers, adjusting mirrors, automatic wipers, opening doors, and other common tasks. Why change controls that are standardized and easily used to something unique and more complicated? Many people have more than one vehicle. To have dramatically different controls decreases usability and safety. Technology savvy people, who make up an abundance of Tesla buyers, may adapt. However, for the average person, the complexity is too much.

I think something no one can say is that “Tesla should no try to re-invent the wheel”. Starting from the manufacturing process, business model, software integration, all the way to the final product. What you see is only the tip of the iceberg of all the changes that Tesla has done over the last 20 years. One thing I love about is that they are not afraid to try new things. This way, we all going to get a verter car. On the other hand, I think it is important to give them feedback about the changes they make.
@mart0225

Blinkers are fine when I'm going straight. Otherwise I need a visual check and if I first turn the steering wheel and then I need to start blinking, I'm lost. Auto disabling blinking is working about 80% of times. The most annoying is TACC. Especially in cities and villages. Screaming and breaking very often. Scares the s#*t out of me and my family. Also unable of read speed limit signs, yet ringing the bell when I'm going over the invalid speed read from maps. The same TACC on VW and Skoda cars was way more reliable. Speed limit signs a non issue. I miss that bit a lot.

I also had a bad headache after testing Tesla M3 three years ago. I have motion sickness. Having to take off my eyes from the road to see speedometer wasn’t great. Wife really hated single pedal driving. Neighter of us felt good driving that car. Tesla also lacked front parking camera, which was very important for my wife. Also visibility backwards when driving the car wasn’t great. Back window is too tiny. So we bought a VW ID3 instead. The only thing we regret about ID3 is that we bought the 420km battery instead of the bigger 550km battery. More range would be better.
@davidswan482
@davidswan482 28 дней назад
In my experience, if you have the speedometer in front of you, you can't focus on it and the road at the same time. You have to glance down briefly and adjust your eye's focal length. Same if the speedometer is to the side. So, the difference is glancing down or glancing sideways. Glancing sideways is pretty much the same experience once you get use to it. That said, a heads up display would probably be the best experience, because you wouldn't have to glance anywhere.

Think you would have enjoyed the chilled mode better that is how tesla should be driven every day. Also sounds like you didnt use the easy entry to help you get in and out saved with settings in your profile. As others said wipers are automatic a lot better now but can be used/adjusted with the wipers button on the steering wheel. The alarm sounded like forward collision warning, not lane assist. All settings sensitivity can be changed to your preferred level. Sounded like this was on high sensitivity. Mirrors sound like you have the auto dim on I hate this as well and turn it off. Fundamentally Tesla is about understanding how it works, reading the manual and voice commands.

I test-drove 2 electric cars until now: an ID.3 - it felt totally natural to me after 20 minutes. And then a Highland LFP - after 5 minutes it felt like I'd been driving it for 5 years, totally fine and natural. And I was ofcourse on the standard driving mode. The suspension was awesome - soft and compliant on bad country roads, and sporty on tarmac. Generally an awesome driving feel. I cannot understand what can be so different here to a normal car.

@mart0225 it's a press of a button on steering wheel so no distraction your eyes don't leave road
@mart0225
@mart0225 29 дней назад
That means extra actions need to be taken. Merging is an example where a quick glance is needed. Having to move your hand to press a button then look down at the screen, as opposed to the standard upward mirror glance, adds inertia to the process. If someone has a car other than a Tesla, they just remember which steps to follow depending on the vehicle. For tech savvy people that might not be a big deal, but for regular people, the extra time and stress can make a difference. Why compromise safety? I work with medical software. Design ease of use makes a significant difference in patient safety incidents. Driving a vehicle is similar. Edit: Yesterday, a driver in a doofed up Kia EV6 decided to make an illegal U turn. I didn’t notice the cars had slowed abruptly, so my collision alert went off. While slamming on the brakes I was able to look straight ahead and check my mirror. Fortunately I could because the vehicle behind wasn’t slowing quickly enough, so I veered to the right, avoiding a crash.

Us Tesla owners would prefer not to talk about it😔 What, you really wanna know?! 90 % of my frustration with the car is wipers randomly going off when it's 40 C° outside and nothing when it's pouring😭 Sometimes it would get triggered by a few drops to blast it on max speed🤬😡 I feel like California's engineers don't know what rain looks like so they just put a random number generator in charge to control the wipers. Edit: Almost forgot the most frustrating thing, even if they are completely off, they will sometime randomly engage😤

I tried one once and that is true, you can't see nothing behind, and I would add that the setting of the side mirrors are really restricted... I was at the max and because I couldn't go more to the exterior, I was seeing to much of the car sides in it and not enough of what was beside me... Each time I had to bring my body a bit more in the front to have a better view when I needed it... And curiously the seats look made for giants.. Just look at the size the back, that is ridiculous.

Tesla is technology packed in a car. Car is getting better every year. Hopefully Europe gets FSD supervised soon. If you want a car that keeps on giving year after year with new features every few months then get a Tesla!!! If you hate it please go for a test drive or borrow it for a weekend from your friend!!! Any electric car is better technology then the gas powered car imo
@YannR34
@YannR34 Месяц назад
I wouldn't say that when talking about Tesla... It's kind of bright to hide stuffs, but technology not working that good is just not good. And promises are just just nothing, he talks a lot though. Selling the FSD for how many years... People had changed their car many times and so what... nothing.... it's just making money on wind. Buying a Tesla is first, loving lottery (you never know what you are gonna get or not for the price), and hoping a lot about what you would like to have, and hoping even more about what others already have. Some things are OK though, but so many are not.
@babnu
@babnu 29 дней назад
@@YannR34 Here's a more readable version of the paragraph: When discussing Tesla, it's important to be objective. While the company may attempt to conceal certain issues, having technology that doesn't function properly is unacceptable. Elon Musk's promises often amount to little, despite his frequent statements. The Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature, for instance, has been sold for years without full implementation. Many customers have replaced their vehicles multiple times, yet still haven't received what they were promised - it seems like profiting from empty claims. Purchasing a Tesla is akin to playing the lottery: you're uncertain about what features you'll actually receive for the price. Buyers often find themselves hoping to get what they want, or even just what other Tesla owners already have. While some aspects of Tesla vehicles are satisfactory, many others fall short of expectations. I've restructured the paragraph to improve clarity and flow with AI

Yes, they are both quick and fast, but with totally pedestrian handling. 9:10 - _Of course_ there is an advantage of buttons (do they even give tactile feedback?) for blinkers: a) Silicon Valley morons can rave about "high tech" b) Tesla saves $8.40 on hardware, and c) you can buy aftermarket stalks for perhaps 50 times the cost saved.

You still don't understand how the Tesla configurations screens work. So seat heaters, you can bring the seat heater controls up as part of the Apps at the bottom of the screen, no need to go into the climate controls. Your wife is short so she has the seat a long way forward and up high. So use easy entry, this automatically moves the seat back and down and moves the steering wheel out of the way. The blind spot monitoring also flashes red on the screen if you have activated it. You get used to the steering wheel blinkers very quickly unless you are old and can't re program your brain. You could always use the sexy buttons option for blinkers. Blinker sound can be adjusted using Joe Mode. The wind screen wiper button is on the steering wheel, no need to go into any menus. the sub menu pops up on the screen if you want to change the setting. If you want to reduce the vehicle power select chill mode. The mirror I guess might block your view of any low flying planes. Lane assist is very useful, if it squawks at you the screen colors the offending warning red, if you try to change lane and there is a car there it squawks and colors red, it's very useful. Changing radio stations or music is done within the app, there is also a volume control on the passenger side. If don't want the power of the long range model get the Standard range model.
