What network cable am I installing and why? cat 5e and 6a cables 

I have been installing networking cabling at home recently and I was asked why I was using different types of cable and the answer is that cat 5e is cheep and faster than the internet connection speed but i want my computer that I normally use and my NAS to have a faster connection
