Enjoy all the different takes: from Sitrep, coffee one take, and the adventures. When someone, like yourself and Matt, have a channel sharing your life, we the viewers get involved and at a point feel connected. Glad you feel comfortable sharing a bit of personal items happening. I think a lot of us are excited about the built. This build is a very positive venture.
Take care of yourself!! Make sure you do what you need to get better. It doesn't do you any good to push yourself. We understand and will watch the Sit Rep videos and will be glad when you are healthy and can do normal videos again. Your fan base is not going anywhere.
Love these SITREP’s and that you’ve formatted them like a 9-line! I’m excited to see your gladiator come together as I’ve been taking inspiration from you for the past couple years. Sorry to hear about the shoulder but take your time to heal. Health is always a top priority. Good thing you’re building a trail aid station. Hope to see you on the trail soon! - Ian
Praying for a speedy recovery. Shoulder pain is not fun. Don't worry, we don't mind SITREP'S until you recover. Have fun with OOA crew, I watch every one of their videos as well.
My two favorite RU-vid channels. Brad, I love watching you and your family and of course, Matt & Cara too with Ozark Overland Adventures. You both have such great content and are so humble. Cool, and I sure hope that your shoulder gets better soon!!
Man I love this video Brad. I love when you and Regina get together with Matt and Cara. The trails you guys take us to are breathtaking and beautiful blend that with a couple of friends and what a dream job. Keep getting better and we hope to see you back to good health again soon so we can see those installs
As a guy in my 50’s, I’m glad to hear your health issue is not anything life threatening. Let yourself heal man. You have to take care of your health. People understand, especially the people on here that are getting older and don’t heal as fast as we used to. I don’t know about anyone else, but I live in upstate New York, we get snow and ice. If I slip and fall, before I even move, I check to make sure that I can still wiggle my feet. I used to just jump back up. Pretty messed up, now I sit for a minute to make sure I can still feel all of my extremities. Take care man. Be safe.
Really love SitReps. As for adventure or garage videos... health comes first, so hope you heal quickly AND take care of yourself going forward. Good to see Regena and Jordan and Sam out with you... and Olive has grown a bunch. Until next time.... Travel Safe.
Having suffered rotator cuff injuries 8 years ago, I went through over a year of PT and got a lot stronger, but only to about 90-95% recovery. I finally opted for PRP therapy and shortly after the third shot had completely recovered. I highly recommend looking into it to see if it’s appropriate for your situation. Good luck!
Love these sitreps! You can stick with these, we'll stick with you! Sending good vibes and prayers to you for quick healing on your shoulder. Don't push yourself to fast! Can't wait to see the lift and tires. Great to see Regina back after being sick. And boy has Olive grown since she was last on film!!
I have the same mud flaps on my Mojave and they work great. Reduces dings from rocks as well as less mud. Had to do some custom cutting around the rock rail steps to make them fit. Best wishes with the shoulder healing.
Thank You. Having full time RV'ed across this beautiful country several times, the struggle with cancer now keeps me (and the Jeep) one place. Thanks for the incredible shots and edits of the scenery I miss so much. Safe and happy adventures to you and all your great friends and family.
I run the Teraflex Axis mud flaps on my jku I love them. It’s not about looks not that I mind the looks of them but the functionality is just great. They protect your vehicle and people that follow from getting lobbed by a huge rock that your MTs picked up. I hope your shoulder heals soon. I have suffered rotator cuff injuries and I completely understand.
You should drop the situational report. It made me feel like I was at a work meeting and nobody wants to be reminded of work. I watch your videos to forget about work.
Its funny your son looks more and more like my kid. Same haircut. Same build. Same nervous smile. I sometimes do a double take when watching your videos.
I feel for you. I dislocated my shoulder ice racing a motorcycle 15 years ago and it hasn’t been the same since then. Take all the time you need to recover. We’ll wait. Love the channel. 👍🏼
Sorry to hear about the shoulder. Happy your are still able to post some stuff... I'll be getting out to Anza Borrego soon! Your videos, whether adventure videos or sit reps, really get me excited for my next trip. Thanks for the post hope you feel better.
Hope the PT does the trick, Brad. Went through the same thing with old shoulder injuries coming to roost. Hope you are back to feeling like yourself in short order. Thanks for the videos. Really enjoy them!
I know how it feels. I dislocated my shoulder when I had a stroke and fell down couldn’t feel my right side so I did not know my shoulder was dislocated but doing better. Thanks for the video. Don and Donna north Idaho
Being a USMC comm guy I love the SITREP. Enjoy watch you and Ozark Overland Adventures. Great to see you tubers getting together and sharing their adventures. Being that you are a doc, Semper Fi brother and take care of that shoulder.
Not sure which way you’re planning on coming, but if you come through Whistler BC, give me a shout. I know a nice little spot for a stop and a great view. Locals only. Looking forward to your northern adventure!
Brad, Thanks for sharing with us the problems with your shoulder. We all care about you and want you to just take it easy and allow time for your shoulder to get better. Love the SITREP's.... Keep up the good work Jeff
I had bilateral stem-cell injections. Although it took a year, the results were miraculous! With your background, I think you'll find that regenerative medicine is making great inroads!
sorry to hear about your shoulders. after three dislocations, surgery, and a 15 year later jump accident, i can relate. as a medic you know what you have to do....... best wishes for a rapid and complete recovery.
Did the same thing back in 22’ Ended up having to have shoulder surgery. Out of the hospital the same day. VERY sore for about two weeks. Physical therapy for about 2 months and now in 2024 the only reminder of my injury is the two small scars from the procedure. Good luck bud.
I have the same mudflaps on my gladiator. I love not having mud on my door handles. I never take them off when off-roading. They’re flexible enough to go over any rocks.
Let the Copilot (my son) drive today. Whoop over whoop over whoop. I gave him advice that after each whoop, a right foot has a tendency to sink lower, and don't forget where that brake pedal is. "There's a brake peddle?" He asks But we're in the Mojave (the truck, not the desert) and I haven't seen it breakdown yet. May I suggest external reservoir bypass shocks (a necessity for California sized pot holes anyway) and cast steel steering knuckles to begin with?
Welcome to this Old Marines World Doc !!!! Knees are bad, Back is bad but I still get up everyday thank the Lord for what I have and make the most of it !!!! Chalk the injury up to getting older Brother !!! We don't bounce back like we used to but we still get up and get er done !!!
Hello Brad. I just joined the TraiRecon Adventure Crew. I love all the information that you put out. I am very new to the Jeep Family. I just bought a 2024 JLU Rubicon. It is still completely stock. My gas struts for the hood came in today and can't wait to put them on this weekend. I had no idea overlanding was such a big thing. I live in Washington and plan on hitting the WBDR this summer. I will probably have to do it in a couple of different outings. I can' wait!
I completely understand, I am currently waiting for approval for Rotator cuff repair and Bicep tendonitis. Keep up the great work, I really enjoy watching your videos.
You Invaded Our life Through youtube your family Even though you don't know us 😂 I've had multiple surgeries both shoulders We love hitting the trails and go jeeping as well we have a lot of common Interests we Love your channel!
The desert is perfect after a good rain. The plants and animals love it and it keeps the dust down. I spent most of my early wheeling/exploring days in the Vegas and Phoenix areas. The Mojave Desert was a lot more windy than the Sonoran desert. I think it’s due to the fact that the valleys have higher elevation contrast with the mountains, as they are somewhat higher in elevation than the ones in the Sonoran desert. Like you, I despise the wind. Lol! Great report as always!
Man I hear ya on the shoulder injury. I’m just now getting over a pinched nerve in my neck that affected my shoulder and you feel so useless not being able to do things like you normally would. We don’t heal up like we used to when we were younger unfortunately. The physical therapy seems to take forever but it was nice to have someone to work through it with and discuss your progress, what helped, what didn’t, etc. Take your time getting better and we can wait for that next awesome adventure video.
I sure hope the shoulder heals quickly and properly! At least you’re able to drive. I didn’t hear you mention surgery, so let’s hope P.T. does the trick! I just had hip replacement surgery last Thursday, so no driving for a month or so for me (that’s what I’m told), and just staring at my Gladiator and XJ is already killing me! No worries on fewer adventure videos, just get yourself healed up properly, we’ll watch pretty much whatever you decide to give us.
I like these reports they are fun to hear what’s going on and where you are. Fun to see my 2 favorite RU-vid personalities out together. Looking forward to seeing Matt’s video when it comes out. Brad, take care of yourself, the rest will come. Happy adventures!
Loving this style of report of your adventures Brad... Especially explaning where you are, weather, vehicles etc etc... great format 👍👍👍🇦🇺🚙. Cheers mate.
As always awesome video and awesome people with you, thank you so much for us unable to do what you do ,heal quick my friend , best wishes for you and family
As always thank you for sharing. Do take care of that shoulder, hate to tell you this - you're not in your 20's anymore and parts wear-out. You know what you have to do and I am sure you will get it done correctly. Anything you share is welcomed, you have a strong base that enjoy your content. Thank you again
Brad I can speak from experience, shoulder injuries suck.. take care of the shoulder.. I think everyone that watches your channel would much rather have you healed up versus trying to "man up" and produce trail videos. Well At least I do... get healthy, take care of yourself first,. The SITREP is an awesome, and now as a 9 Line.. wow bring back the memories! Keep up the good work, and take care of that shoulder!! Come on Doc.. you know the drill!!
I recognized those Rokblokz mud flaps right away. I run them on my Gladiator to stay street legal. They are an in state company that I have supported with my last two Jeeps. Hope you get better soon. Take whatever time you need to recover we love whatever videos you put out.
Sorry to hear about the shoulder. I went through Rotator Cuff surgery in May last year, so I really hope PT helps you as the surgery is not fun. Take care.
We all feel the same way -- your health comes first. Whatever you put out on social media, we'll be watching. Definitely enjoying these two SITREP videos. Your videos are always perfect, but sometimes watching the "flaws" (not really) and not worrying about all that editing is nice to see.
I’ve had those mud flaps for years on my Luanch Edition 3.5” Terflex lift on 37s. I’ve done some knarly trails, Top of the World, Lockhart Basin, Elephant Hill and the like. No issues with them. Sorry about the shoulder. Those things heal but it takes time.
Living in the northeast part of the country, mudflaps are the first thing I put on my trucks. Makes zero sense not to imo. Looking forward to the next update! I feel your pain with the shoulder. I dislocated mine back in 96 and it still haunts me from time to time. Get better soon
Firstly, take care of yourself; it's super important to heal properly and come back strong. We will wait for you - you make excellent videos and we can be patient a bit longer. The mudflats are the best ;-) I have the same :-) I really like this kind of video, I hope that in your trip to the North Pole you will give us short and regular updates. Get well soon and know that your work is greatly appreciated. Have a good trip 🙂
Brad, everybody gets hurt once in a while on how it is. I yenk out my shoulder in the late 80s. And I'm 62 years old and raise times I can't even lift up. My left shoulder left arm. It hurts so bad. So when you need to take it easy, take it easy, did you get older? It takes longer to heal takes longer to recover. You're most important thing is. Do you wanna do this things that you love doing? And you enjoy doing but no one's not coming for if you have to take time off to do something to take care of yourself you're to me and who is running the stuff you need to sit there. Take care yourself. Most important me and your videos can come. You know your videos can come back when you're well enough to do. Everybody's gonna be. OK with it, but there's it ways. You can do it find doom, but don't press yourself to sit there. And you have to make videos though you don't. You need to sit there and take care of bread and give them A. Your wife likes in appreciates when your kids appreciate you. So take care of yourself your fans will be okay. They'll wait for you return and way for you to be healthy and ready to go out again.
I tore my rotator cuff at 50 and rehabbed it but it was never right. So I had reconstructive surgery in Santa Fe,NM by the guy who did the UNM baseball players a few months after 60, followed the rehab. He put some cams & sleeves in it and now as I’m approaching 69 I’m so glad I got it TOTALLY fixed vs just rehabbed; as I have full range of motion and strength. And today did 61 plank pushups down to beer can level as I work towards 100 increasing one a day since Dec. 1st.
