After playing CSS for a while now with the custom levels you people make. There some levels that makes me question why to the point I felt like making a video.
PLEASE NOTE
DO NOT ATTACK ANYONE AT ALL THAT MAKES LEVELS THAT WAS MENTIONS ON THIS VIDEO. I TRUELY DON'T WANT PEOPLE TO GET HATE FOR A LEVEL THEY MIGHT HAD MADE FOR THE FIRST TIME. FEW OF THESE ARE ALSO JOKES SO DONT GIVE HATE TO PEOPLE WHO ALSO MAKES JOKE LEVELS. thank you lo

yeah didn't expect a sonic video (well it a roblox video but does it count as one tho?) i been busy with rl stuff like school but i'm trying here to think for ideas lol. this is prob a one-off video for css on this channel. any other videos related to CSS will be on other bush cus that the channel i post random stuff.

To be honest, as someone who takes pride in how I make my levels, can confirm most of this. Like I've seen so many bad levels with arrogant creators, and here I am after spending months honing my craft being told that my levels "are too empty" because I didn't spam stuff everywhere.

Well Yeah, but also NO at The same time. You see, while i do agree with you when it comes to you agreeing with The Video that you are watching just like i do agree with it and respect your Oppinion in GENERAL, i do Sometimes side with The guys that Say that your levels are too empty because…….well, to be honest, they kinda are. If ya wanna be cool in Classic Sonic Simulator on Roblox, you gotta occasionally „spam” Enemies by making them follow each other like a badnik conga Dance line and just have The same ENEMY Patterns as an Arcade Shoot-Em-Up, so that you can kill multiple Enemies at once with a Spindash, but remember, don’t do it too often, or it counts as spamming. Off to make a stage where sonic MAKES a shish kebab out of badniks via a Spindash, a literal JOKE level that’s a refference to this Comment. Happy Sonic-ing! (Badnik Shish Kebab Zone - best name for any sonic level EVER.)

Something annoying that happens mostly in the spanish servers of css, is that the most played level is a roleplay dinner level with the giant ring at the start.

As a certified level designer KHM KHM, I have seen many bad levels, that really annoyed me. Like they didn't test the level with all character abilities, enemy spam, literal unplayability, or messed up and hurting object layout.

When it comes to bad level layout I sometimes have to make sure that the players don’t get trapped in the wall so I usually put spikes there

To be honest I seen Emerald Hill Zone being worst than Spring Yard Zone but in my opinion, Spring Yard Zone isn't the greatest aswell. Aleast it ok than Emerald Hill Zone

@@BashyBush Honestly, I have to wonder why Vyriss doesn't just throw out those level sets and just merge them as Test zone palettes. They're rarely ever cohesive (somehow more obnoxious than using labyrinth/marble sets). What's even more upsetting, I've seen more effective levels made from metropolis than I have from emerald hill.

Trust me, I made levels on mobile, one of them being a remix of green hill with character specific pathways, and i think that level turned out okay imo.

Suggestion for what not to make: Blank Tile Hole Traps (use labyrinth zone for this one) Basically holes that is an entire tile line through the floor.

What about infinite loops? "just put a loop inside a loop. but inner loop must have the same ceiling as outer loop" Put it right next to a goal that you just passed on accident with a dash pad forcing you in

For the tablet part, yeah it's really fucking buggy because I sometimes couldn't move the object where I wanted, also there is this screen bug where it kept dragging to the start of the level, forcing you to restart the game Classic css jank

Yup. It still possible to make a somewhat ok level on tablet/mobile. But because of the screen bug where it just drags you to the start until you reload the level is annoying.

Yes, I unconsciously spammed one of my levels without realizing it XD I tried to make a level with decoration, without any enemy, the level is public, called unknow laberynt, and its just a laberynt zone un color grey, like Scrap brain zone act 3, with Undertale waterfall ost. I think i made It well :)

I'm always going back through levels I'm making and checking to see if I'm actually enjoying what I'm making. I have a high personal standard and while making something may seem like a good idea, actually playing it might turn out to be dreadful, so it gets scrapped. Only problem is that it takes ages for me to make a genuine level.

When I play this, I actually tend to make good levels on mobile. The only rule is be patient, and DONT SPAM. I understand your point for lower end mobile devices though.

That broken intro level reminded me of my first level i made around 2018 (i think. probably not) and came back to around 4 years later only to find all of the springs didn't really work or barely did at all. (Like you would barely make a jump to another spring or couldn't make it at all.)

I use water triggers randomly to tell a story. Ever since eggman took over chrome city he has accidentally flooded the town and broke the water system with his bad pipes lol. I agree with you on the text but I have mastered the art of making maps on mobile Mr.

They should add a arrow pad and a confirm placement button for mobile so you can adjust how the stuff is placed properly instead of leaving everything sloppy.

Ways you can work these into your map correctly: A. A story or some sh-t, bad map layout? Say in the story it was a unfinished map. B. With the monitor spam, you can make a hard map and say that the player will need it. (The reason I said A, is that one of my friends made a story for their map.)
