‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣ THIS EPISODE ‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣
In this episode, we continue our “weekender” adventure at Mount Blue State Park in the mountains of Maine! If you missed the first part of this trip, you can check it out here: • CLEANING UP AFTER A LO...
After an amazing night cooking over the fire and morning hanging out at the campground beach, we headed out to hike up to the top of Tumbledown Mountain. This specific hike was the goal of this camping trip as it was a hike that we did 6 years earlier right before we hit the road in 2017. And it was just as spectacular the second time around.
It brought back so many memories. Of the girls when they were little. Of the excitement we felt as we faced so many unknowns. Of the beauty of that night and knowing that there were so many more beautiful and adventurous nights to come.
So much has changed in our lives since hiking up that mountain in Maine with the stunning lake at the top. Our girls have grown into lovely and loving young women. Our marriage is stronger. Our lives are richer and more fulfilled. And our future, though never clear, is hopeful and exciting and will always be full of adventure.
What changes in your life would allow you to spend more time with your spouse? Your kids? What would make your life feel more complete or fulfilled? What is your SOMEDAY? It may not look anything like ours, but whatever it is, don’t wait to make it happen. Make that change now. You are the only one who can.
Now back to the video…we make it back to Jess’ parents house, Corey breaks the truck, we say bye to everyone in Maine, almost blow a tire and have to change it at 2am at a rest stop and finally make it to Elkhart, Indiana. What is it with our truck and rig getting to Indiana???
Stay tuned for next week as we gear up for Season 8 - 2.0 and finally head OUT WEST! Be sure to like and subscribe and click on the bell icon for notifications when we release new videos!
Don’t wait to live your life, find your 🔆SOMEDAY🔆 now!
PS. Hope you enjoy the special little treat we added at the end! 😂

You're Gonna Wanna Watch Until the End! Do not be drinking anything when you watch it. We would love to see your old photos and videos. They may trigger a conversation about your thought process to go full time, concerns, the excitement, where you thought you were going to go and where you ended up. We have made our decisions and are making it happen. We sold our home last November and I can tell you, it is a great feeling not to be "living" to work on the house/property. Kids in 3 states, can't wait until Dec 1st, for Traci to retire and our new adventure truly begins. The walk around was a great find. The trip to Elkhart is truly cursed 😂

Of course we would love to see old footage, it is part of the history of your journey! Just put it on for a bit longer duration, you flash that stuff so fast that my mind can't process that quickly. Lol. Thank you as always, for your wonder videos! Oh, the tire damage sure looks like impact damage, like hitting a deep pot hole. When the impact has enough force it laterally pinches the tire between the impact object and the rim, usually braking the radial belt of the tire. Consider switching to a quality LT tire instead of trailer tires, just make sure the tire weight rating is the same or more. OMG! The ending was hilarious!!! Priceless!

Two hours is our limit as weekend warriors. Downside of weekend warriors is the packing and unpacking the camper. Yes we keep basics, yes we keep the fridge plugged in but we don't run the air conditioner when not using it so all the chocolate cookies, breads, produce etc . Comes out. Along with the laundry. Then if parking for a couple of weeks I'll be moving my clean clothes out to wear.

Had my turbo boot blow off my 2015 lml as well. Granted this was after the engine was rebuilt two times for bad head gaskets. Going from Frisco, co down i70 to silver Thorne pulling our TT, exhaust break on, then transition from exhaust brake slowing us doesn’t o accelerating up to the tunnel a giant bang. Parked on the side of i70 heading up to the tunnel with the family for hours trying to figure out how to attach it again. Luckily dealer down the street sent a guy out and he made a few trips to get it attached. State patrol told me to duck tape it lol.

For 2 nights, we have gone as far as 250 miles way. For 3 nights, we have done a 475 mile trip once but usually only up to 350 miles, and for 4 nights we have pushed to 400 miles. Our longest single drive day was a 688 mile trip coming back from a week in Florida (we don't recommend that long ever in a single drive, but wanted to push it to see what we could handle once). And we stay at tons of different campgrounds, but have a few local state part staples we love. We average 70 different camping stays since 2020.

Omg that pop! We thought the whole damn frame came out from under us by the noise but the black smoke at 25# of boost going uphill was horrific, we thought we launched the motor too.Sinister Diesel bulletproofed 2005 F350 turbo and it happened twice to us, we had to change the boot & new clamps. It happens, decay from heat & oil and they weaken. We carry a spare now with extra clamps.

I would not call us weekenders as we have never gone anywhere for just a weekend. We are what I refer to as part of the “Dunworkin” family as we no longer work. We just play. Based in southeastern Pennsylvania we’ve done the following so far this year: Ouray, CO, Moab, UT, Lyons, CO (all on the same 30 day trip) a lot of one nighters to get there. Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore in Michigan for a week and one more planned trip to the Finger Lakes Region in NY for a week. We travel in a 27’ Airstream, TV is a Ford F250 gasser. We have to thank you for sharing all of your adventures up the coast in Maine as we might do that trip next year. I’ve been to the Maine Media Workshops in Rockport three times. We traveled to Acadia once together. We’ve followed your adventures for a few years now and would love to see the early footage.

I blew two fairly brand new 10 ply radial tires in the same long trip to the keys with my boat trailer. Happened to me in the summer time on a really hot day in FL. I’m thinking due to the extreme heat of the asphalt. I caught the second one before it blew and it was rounded up on top as well. Since that experience I back off 8 pounds in the summer and never had that issue again. I didn’t have a TPMS back then but I do now. I tow my boat and RV ALOT. Still amazes me how much I see the tire pressure increase on my TPMS in the summer as the tire temp increases.

Another great video of a place we will never see! Thanks for sharing! I can understand Corey's excitement about the prospect of heading West again. Though we live "Where The West Begins" west of Fort Worth, the prospect of heading to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in Northern New Mexico makes us excited! We met there 45 years ago, got married and it is a very special place. If we don't go there, it's Ruidoso NM near Sierra Blanca. Both places are a 10 to 11 hour drive from home. Money permitting, we stay somewhere after 6 hours. Otherwise, we leave really early and get there in the late afternoon or early evening. For us, the journey is as special as the destination. We stay in the same RV Parks. They know us and are expecting our arrival, so that makes getting there much nicer (we get to see old friends). For day trips, it's usually a couple of hours away from where we are camping at most. Mostly, we just chill, enjoy the peace and quiet and get much-needed rest (I'm almost 70 but still work full time.) Safe travels, y'all. Hope to cross paths one day.

Since I still have a job that I need to be at, we weekend and weeklong several times a year. There are a few places we enjoy and go back to regularly with longer and unique trips mixed in. We plan by the distance from home vs the time we have. We've done thousand mile trips over a week and this past weekend we did a 500 mile round trip to WV to an airshow. Being based in eastern PA it is difficult to get to the west. Longer trips west are on our agenda and planning is in the works.

A "real" adventure for us means getting out of New England. Once we get beyond CT/NY/NJ then we know we're on a real road trip, and not just being tortured by the highway. Even if we camp for a week somewhere in New England, it doesn't have quite the same feel.

Hey family I have a few answers for you, first, round is a shape Cory, second living in Florida we have a few campgrounds that we spend at least 5 - 7 days per trip, third when we head west it is usually two weeks to a month because its so much fun to visit new places and we have a few go too's. Great video blessings from Florida, Jim

I really enjoyed seeing your early days videos, your beautiful girls looks so young. Wow that was a good catch on that tire, it was going to make a mess if you'd gone much further. As weekenders in Ontario, Canada who enjoy provincial parks we often have a 3 hr travel day. In September were heading north anticipating 5 hrs but we're taking an extra long weekend to that.

What luck to find that tire. Have fun out west. We are just completing our MC trip to Ouray and Moab. It’s hot in the desert. We didn’t take the Rv this time because we went with 6 other couples for an epic dirt bike trip for the guys. Enjoy your journey. And we will be watching. ❤

We’re from colorado and full time. We’re getting ready to head east and I’m really looking forward to it. I love the west but I’ve lived out here most of my life other than when I was in the Navy.

Wow good catch on the Tire. Looked like defect inside. I would get the Axle Alignment checked too. Had to do this once. Kept eating certain tires. Was off a tad from curb catch. Towed harder. Ate tires.

Had the exact same thing happen to one of our Goodyear endurance tires. Less than 3 years old and I just happened to notice the bulge while I was doing my pre check. Good year warranties the tire. But still a inconvenience.

Going down that big mountain looked a lot more difficult than going up. Wow, overturned ankle in a heartbeat. But, you guys did it! The flashbacks of the early days and the kids are great. What a fun ending. I so enjoy going on adventure with you guys.
