Congratulations on finishing the program and taking the exam! Wow. What a lot of work I bet that was. No wonder the brain fog! Here you go increasing my list of library holds!
Felicitations on passing your library exams! Great news. Good luck with the job search. It can be difficult to focus at times, particularly when there is a lot else going on in our lives. Ripley's Game is a great read. We the Drowned was my favorite of the books I read in 2022.
Congrats on your exams!!! Stay positive & keep plugging away. Brain fog is SO annoying 😨 but luckily it passes. Thanks for reminding me about "We, the Drowned" - next on my list. Thanks for your videos 💖.
I’ve recommended ADDW numerous times since reading it to people trying to help suicidal and depressed partners. I think it gives some of the best insights into how to help someone, yet also how the other person’s experience in the end is unknowable, not only to the supporter, but also the individual going through it. Memoirs by poets is one of my favorite sub genres, the precise languages and metaphors are always stunning, even when trying to grasp indescribable things and situations. Congratulations seeing the light at the end of the tunnel on your pursuit of a library career. I’m intrigued by your examine system, as here the only basic requirement is attending an accredited masters program. Unfortunately, it’s looking very bad for librarians and libraries here in the US as they are being laid to waste as a primary victim of the culture wars. First, they came for the librarians…
I started All Down Darkness Wide for a book club but then stopped at 20% when I wouldn't be able to come to the meeting. Maybe I'll give it a second go though!
We have our naughtiest cat ever, since December. (My most recent short features the black and white rascal.) Congrats on the exams. I didn’t doubt you. _Bon chance_ getting the right employment situation! I’m sure the brain fog is a passing thing.
Looking For Trouble by Virginia Cowles sounds good. While looking in my local library catalog I came across another title that might interest you. THE CORROSPONANTS Six Women Writers On The Frontlines In WW11 by Judith Mackrell
Dear Ms. Novella, are you scrolling on your phone or social media again? I did an experiment. I'm a lover of reading all my life. As I, without knowing, increased my time on social media, including youtube, scrolling on the phone, and noticed that my ability to read, focus, concentrate and think decreased. So, beginning of this new year 2024, I now only use phone as a phone, speaking only, other times it is in a drawer. On the computer I stopped visiting social media except for youtube which I must decrease my time on. In any case, I grabbed my books and slowly in these two months my focus is returning, my clarity of thought also, concentration ability is returning. You may wish to consider this as well. I am enriched by your videos and hope you continue to question the impact of the cellular phone, and social media scrolling. Best to you always, a subscriber who enjoys reading deeply once again.
