:I this is gonna ruin the joke but if you think about THE human fused into the tank, it actually sucks since they will have to be in ever-increasing pain each time they shoot, blood vessels being shredded, blood being leaked, or even- a VITAL organ like a Spleen in the barrel, technically the engines don't need a immune system but who cares!
What I love about the end of project g1 is that it doesn’t have an ending it leaves the viewers waiting more and make their own theories of what could possibly happen next
I don’t believe Keith is a bad guy. Even after I was questioning it myself. He was just trying to reveal more about what actually happened on Sodor and he was the only person that had been Thomas’ friend after all the others were killed by HiT and the fat bastard. Even if Keith did end up leaving Sodor, I think he didn’t have much of a choice with the government’s investigation and shutting the island down. Besides, in some cases, the best thing to do is leave. Even if it ends up hurting others you care about, chances are, they might not have understood the whole case of why someone left in the first place. Or HAD to leave.
And if this is about Keith calling Thomas a monster...IT’S NOT EXACTLY AN INSULT!!! ANYONE AND EVERYONE CAN SEE HE ONLY RESEMBLED A HUMAN AND HIS BRAINS WERE STICKING OUT SO MUCH THE SATELLITE STATION COULD SEE IT!!! THE ENTIRETY OF EUROPE AND THE WHOLE WORLD COULD SEE THAT BRAIN STICKING OUT!!! AND IT WAS STATED THAT THOMAS MIGHT HAVE KNOWN HE WAS RATHER WORSE FOR WEAR!!! AT LEAST KEITH HAD THE GALL TO STICK BY THOMAS’ SIDE TILL THE END, AND IT’S LIKE THAT SCENE IN AUSTIN POWERS WITH THAT GIANT MOLE!!!
I want to like this series; I really do. It’s clear that a lot of thought and effort went into these films, and is part of what inspired me to start my own Thomas-themed project. I’ve also really enjoyed seeing the concepts that have been popping up recently in movies, shows, and video games, where fantasies or novelties that we enjoyed from our childhoods are suddenly warped in a way that they take a turn for the worst (Bendy and the Ink Machine being my favorite example). I feel like Thomas had a lot of potential for this kind of subversion, with the heavy atmosphere, the uncanny expressions, and the dark, existential implications from the original show and books. However, something about Shed 17 and Project G-1 just leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. Maybe it’s just the bleak tone (as in SAW or Final Destination levels of bleak), but I feel like these mockumentaries rely too much on shock value with elements such as jumpscares, Keith swearing every 20 seconds, the excessive use of gore, vomit, and sex jokes, etc. It’s probably just not for me, but maybe if the tone wasn’t so miserable and had some dark humor to balance out the trauma, I’d enjoy it a bit more.
Paul considers the whole thing to be a dark comedy. Shed 17 was probably way darker then it should have been, but I feel like it was still enough to be good. Project G-1 wanted to take a movie that was at 10 even higher and it made it get a little more goofy at times. There are legitimately good scenes in Project G-1, but the biggest drawback for me is that Paul seemed to want to just force disturbing scenes in the movie like the Steamies being a good example. The storyline with Diesel was a much better way of making dark and disturbing scenes without needing to force. However, I understand it's kind of horrific to a really high degree, so it isn't for everyone.
I have a theory on how the wood humans work in this universe I believe that their bodies are made out of some stretchy wood material. Hence why the skeleton inside thomas appears bigger than a person and how they can bend their arms. Their bodies i believe would mostly be made out of wood, so the organs are pretty small but expand when directly exposed to air. I think that there is a lubricant in between their wood “skin” and wood skeleton. But then at the end of project g-1 you can see a fictional blog where it says “tributes paid to childrens entertainer” with bob the builder on the side. Which means that clay people exist. And thats easy to explain how they would work.
44:00 don’t know if you already figured it out, but Everyone is made of wood. Wood ages differently compared to us fleshy humans (I’m the one next to Keith in my profile pic and Keith did nothing wrong. Maybe made a few mistakes here and there, but I don’t believe he’s a bad person).
17:09 why just why????????????? Edit: I'm watching this at night time and I'm not regretting it right now, but I might later. 41:35 if that actually were a real thing, I'd crap my pants if that thing (I know who he is lol, this was so wierd) gets that claw near me, I'm running. 27:21 It sounds like scp containment breach music 26:37 When you have too much caffeine. (Sorry it's a horrible joke)
It's sad Paul felt the need to to end the story like that, the one happy scene in the entire film is cut shirt in the saddest way possible. I can see why Thomas had a mental tantrum like that
Smudger getting turned to a generator that is actually show accurate. That's what they actually did in the show. But they did not put the tubes on his eyes and mouth. probably look too disturbing for children to see.
The bio fusion problems would be completely fixed nowadays. How to prevent burning? Tesla. How to prevent your organs from twisting? Schedule tire replacement every...month or so to prevent the bio fusion from spreading to them.
So if I am correct the living tanks are clones of the humans correct me if I’m wrong but it they were to die that means they would just suddenly lost a tank or human
In the original series, the human characters would never move. They'd either move off screen or with really jerky stop motion. The point was if they were constantly looking at themselves in the mirror then they'd freeze in place. This comes up later when Project G-1 is released and one of the hazmat workers accidentally looks at a mirror in the hallway and is frozen in place allowing for Project G-1 to grab him.
