The 2021 Mortal Kombat film is packed with characters, fight scenes, and, of course, obscure references to the game franchise's decades of complicated lore. Even the characters themselves are an intriguing mix of fan-favorites and not-so-beloved fighters. One of Shang Tsung's minions in particular, Nitara, is especially notable for her inclusion, as she's one of the most obscure Mortal Kombat fighters to ever make to the big screen.
