Being a people pleaser for most of my life i thought that what made me happy was making others feel good(Making them laugh, giving them things, making them feel loved) But after i graduated high school and stepped into real life for a bit i realized that not everybody deserves that. I learned the hard way that greed knows no bounds, The givers have limits, takers have none.
I OVERstand this. I'm a recovering people pleaser and it took over 48 years for me to learn what you've learned about people pleasing. Let the healing continue for all of us who are on our own healing journey's.
It took me 2 decades to realise that prioritising people's happines and comfort over mine will not make them love or respect me. They just kept taking until I was dry. I learned about this late, but I learned. Cheers to myself.

Growing as been the most painful and beautiful things I have ever done in my life. I had to mourn the death of my old self as God, Jesus & the Holy Spirit put the mirror of my true self before me. I used to be heavily emotionally reactive especially at and with my parents for ever due to wanting to be seen and recognized or appreciated an emotionally connected cause I know I’m a sesnsetive man that is very in tune with my emotions . Up until September of this. I feel so happy and confident in who I am today. Free and filled with peace now
i have been in a “slump” lately, i know growth isn’t linear at all so i need to work more on my ego and take good care of my spiritual side, cause when i did, i was living the time of my life; i just wanted to say that if your healing/growth journey doesn’t go perfectly straight, it is okay and you’re not alone
I’m currently working on myself my pass traumas I always avoided myself became a people pleaser because I was seeking validation through material keeping a person around that wasn’t for me due to prove that I can keep or have someone growing pains and standing in ur power when u don’t know urself hurts a lot but it’s so much liberation in it I’m walking away from something I claimed was forever which isn’t logical but it gave me peace here’s too a new beginning

Thank you for your message. Everyrhing you said is true, as I listen I can relate and just shake my head. Growth definately is needed in my life. I learn allot from my mistakes. I realize would focus on other people needs and forget about my needs. I used to put others first. Now I put God, my children and myself first in everything I do. Growth allows people who are supposed to be in the now, BE THERE. Eish that is the world for me. Thank you for the encouragement to be on the path that God wants me to be. I love God I pray , Im 58 years old but I dont read the bible everyday., I dont know the bible & I cant get myself to study the bible, I dont know how coz I dont read books😢but I learn on platforms, groups & church now Im married to a man who dont know God 😢
