Obagi is my fave madical grade skincare brand. Maybe because from my mom. My mom used it since i was just a little kid. This packaging is so iconic, i remember this brand since i was little kid till today.

Great thorough instructions. Been wanting to try Obagi Nuderm but I don't think the whole system is for me as I have fairly good skin. I started Tretinoin in 1995 and sunscreen since 1989 for acne and have reaped benefits. Been looking for something to add to my skincare to maybe take it to the next level😊

I just ordered the kit steps 1 through 5 plus sun shield. I was using the elastiderm under eye and 15% vitamin C before I got the kit. I'm not sure when or how to use those 2 with the kit or should I finish the kit and then go back to them? How long does it take for results and how often would you recommend using the entire kit? Daily ongoing or every few months?

Obagi blender is designed to act as a blending agent. it doesn’t bleach the melanocytes it blends them into the surrounding skin. It also enhances the penetration of retinoids deeper into the skin. Therefore getting more profound effects ie.. it makes the retin a/retinol work better. Think retin a on steroids

Do you need to wait any amount of time after applying Vit CEF serum to apply the Exfoderm? Also, wait time after Exfoderm to apply moisturizer and spf?

I never peeled or flaked with vitamin a but I gave me wrinkles, 3 days later they were gone so I know it’s the a. I started using the weakest truth treatment vitamin a a couple of times a week, it’s fine. Do you have to be on strong a to use obagi? I don’t have pigmentation but want my skin bright without any lines. So yes or no to obagi? And which. Thank you for a great video and help!

Thank you always for your tips they do help a lot . I recently bought a lot of the ordinary products thanks to you and I can’t wait to try them . I had one more question regarding rotating . Do you feel I would get the benefits of a moisturiser if I used it for 2 weeks, before switching up? Or do you think i should use it for longer ? I hope two weeks is enough haha . I would like to notice the effects of my products as well along with changing them . I love skincare so much !!!

Aw thanks! The longer you are consistent with a product the results (if there are any) will be more known. When I am switching my products I am still using similar products to the one I am switching up (similar ingredients that target the same thing).. There are a lot of times I will use a hydrating moisturizer a few times per week and then the other nights of the week I might use one that isn't as hydrating because maybe my skin doesn't need any more hydration... It really depends on you and what you want out of your skincare but normally within a month you would generally start to see more results rather than 2 weeks..

Hi - just started using the Tret 0.05 with the Blender once a week and building up slowly. -Would you use the Exfoderm when using Tret or only the days ‘off’ from using Tret? Just would like to know if you can use Exforderm when using Tret to help reduce the flaky skin! Thanks x

Hi, For now I would use the Exfoderm on the days you are not using the Tretinoin and once your skin starts to get used to these products then up them from there... The Exfoderm can help remove the flaky skin yes...

Thanks for sharing but I'm a bit confused. Do you use the Obagi Blender with the Tretinoin _every_ night or only _three nights_ a week? Also, do you use a moisturiser before or after applying the Obagi Blender and Tretinoin? Another question: Does the Obagi No. 4 (the peeling solution) not interact or compromise the vitamin C? Just wondering as I was told you need to use vitamin C serum on its own and not to mix it 🤔

Hi there! Did you experience the nasty initial breakout from retin-a? My derm says if i mix the blend fx with the retin-a, it will bypass the purge. Have you found that to be true?

Hi! I will be honest with you and say I did have some purging but nothing crazy.. purging can last up to 4-6 weeks but you may not experience it either.. it is normal but the blender really helps to spread the retin-a and highly recommend that combo!!

You can use the Blend Fx with Tretinoin and Niacinamide.. The Obagi Clear Fx can be used morning or night but since you are using Tretinoin at night I would use the Clear Fx in the morning after water based serums and before moisturizer and SPF..

The Clearfx is very similar to the Blendfx so I made the choice not to purchase the Clearfx. I don't believe you have to use the Clearfx in combination to the Exfoderm but I guess you could If you really wanted to..

I would just use your Obagi and Tretinoin with a moisturizer at night when you are using these products but on the days that you are not using Tretinoin, yes you can use just the Nu Derm by itself if you like with a moisturizer.

I have used Obagi Nuderm products in the past obtaining great resuts, but I stopped using them as soon as I realized that they have such bad Parabens in their formulations. If you don’t have issues with the use of Parabens go ahead, I just don’t use them regardless how good the product can be. But it’s a personal choice, I suggest to make a deep research on Parabens before use them, specially if it’s a high end $$$ product like Obagi.

I never really took note on the Parabens of their products as I focused more on how the product is actually working on my skin but it is something to definitely look into if someone is sensitive or worried about Parabens.. Thanks for sharing!

Hmmm, the one that I have doesn't have any smell to it. I am not sure what to say on that and I have never ordered anything from Mercari before either... Mine doesn't have an expiry date either but I would say it's good for at least a year.

Thanks for sharing. This worked for me: Kojic Acid + Kojic Acid + Arbutin + Saliclyic Acid + Tretinoin + Benzoyl Peroxide = it cleared my acne, whiteheads, blackheads, and acne scars.

Hard to say for sure.. There is Lactic Acid in the BlendFx. How much? I am not sure to be exact but you can experience purging with "active" ingredients so it is possible that it could cause a little bit of purging.

Ok good.. You can use PTR with #3 and #5 as they both have Arbutin in them but it's not necessary to use all 3 together in the same routine... Maybe use #5 with PTR and use #3 in the morning..

I've used Retin-A for 12 years, it's BOMB. I use the ClearFX and the Exfoderm but not the BlendFX because I don't like to dilute the % of the Tretinoin. 0.1% Tret cream isn't available in Canada anymore, it sucks. Can only get 0.05% or Retin-A Micro gel in 0.1% which I didn't like the texture of the Micro gel.

It is amazing isn't it? I don't mind diluting my retin-a as I find it works better for me to combine it with the BlendFX.. Yes, I know, it's very unfortunate that they don't have the 0.1% cream.. My mom uses the gel and doesn't mind it but she would prefer the cream form as well...

Im 75, have used Obagi and Retina products since I was in early 50’s...I look older but I have no wrinkles!!!!! A dermatologist introduced me to this bc I had red hair. He said red haired people age faster. I also use Epionce, it’s called milky lotion. Never put exfoliating products on neck!!!!

Hi Sue. Curious whether you switched to Obagi's newer formulation with arbutin or continue to use Nu-Derm with hydroquinone. As a very fair-skinned brunette, my dermatologist gave me similar advice and I've been using the Obagi Nu-Derm with hydroquinone since 2004. I'm a devotee of Obagi because I don't have any wrinkles. I don't use the cleanser/toner anymore, but routinely use Clear, Exforderme Forte, Blend and the relatively new Sunshield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 50. I tell everyone, stick with Obagi and Tretinoin. You won't regret it.

It's best to consult with a dermatologist on what would work best but in office treatments would most likely be a better treatment for pockmarks.

I have ordered Obagi products before from Amazon and they seemed fine but I know exactly what you mean, sometimes you question whether they are a knockoff.. I did link these products to other stores which I have ordered from as well..

That pairing would most likely be irritating. I would use one or the other.

I do but I use the blender more as I mix it with my Retin-a..

@@SincerelyMissAsh Can I ask why you should use the Obagi blender, what is it for? (Sorry, I am not English and perhaps didn't get it all...)I am using tretinoin only since 5years, still flake though and get the dryness and the older I get, the worse dryness and wonder if this might be something for me, the benefits from using the blender together with tretinoin?

Sometimes I will if I feel like I need more hydration but a lot of the times I don't. It is my last step if I don't use a moisturizer but and SPF should be the last if you use it in the a.m.

I’ve never had dryness or irritation from tretinoin. 7 skins with a Korean toner and ceramide cream works a charm and much more affordable 😁

@@SincerelyMissAsh is clear not very necessary? I'm thinking of getting some products in the fx line and since they're quite pricey I wouldn't want to spend on all products.
