I had a sleep test done about 4 years ago. I was always tired. The test I took I stayed over night with different machines testing. I thought…I do not have sleep apnea. At my follow up appt the doctor came in & said “I’m surprised you’re still here.” I was having 57 sleep apneas in an hour! (Where you stop breathing). I’m now on a full mask sleep machine. My brain doesn’t alert as to when I stop breathing (that’s scary in itself). The machine does it for me. I cannot sleep without it. You DO get used to the mask.
