@random you'd be having a *nice dream* if you were *lucky* enough for the *karma police* to get them to realise Radiohead isnt *Just* that one piece of *(exit) music*
@@InstrumentologyFr these people need to stop being SCATTERBRAIN And they JUST need to put the JIGSAW FALLING INTO PLACE and then they need to realize that EVERYTHING IN ITS RIGHT PLACE
I love the Oslo version, but I like that one where Thom starts with: "This a song that really didn't see much of the light of day for a long time and then, sort of did... but kind of needs to do it a bit more" I just love how clumsily he says that lol
Singing can sound repetitive n whiney if ur listening to albums front to back n the instrumentals can just become a monotone droning in the background cuz of all the sad vibey stuff going on
I don't get this and I don't want to. I'm battling toothache... and stage 3 cancer, and Radiohead are one of the "Go To" bands that see me through tough times.
@@p2savvy.__yeah I remember 3 of my all time favourite songs I found while I was smoking weed: - Great gig in the sky (obviously knew of the song but never really “listened” to it if you know what I mean. - Everything in its right place (those synths are amazing man) - Bodysnatchers (made me feel cool 😎)
I had kid a, ok computer and in rainbows (as well as dark side of the moon + a few animal collective LP's to name a few) all on vinyl when i was in high school, right around the same time i started smoking weed & taking psychedelics. I'd put one of these albums on as i was getting high, totally unprepared for the insane, life-changing ride i was about to be taken on by whichever album was playing!!
I think part of that is all the legal bs that happened with the song writers of a different song wanting song writing credits. The 2 songs aren't even remotely close. Think they just let them get credit to shut them up. Then G.B. not liking the song. It became big in Israel and then the US. It then was re-released and blew up worldwide. I know he felt it was too limiting for the band. Which the band by all means is entitled to not want their music to get "stereotyped". I know it was the producers who begged them to release it but could you imagine if they had never released it? That would have been tragic seeing as how so many people could relate on such a deep level with this song.
Yup he is a pretentious Illuminati member which is obvious when you listen to the lyrics of Pyramid song and Dollars and Cents, he is part of the powerful you hate and you dont even realize it. Because their all creepy Gnostics
Aphex Twin was in my bedroom playing on my dex in 1993! I made him a cup of tea and a sandwich and then we jumped a taxi down to the club we had booked him to play, and all his gear was set up! His mum and dad showed up too! That sounds like a load of sh*t when it’s written out but it really happened! And he only cost us £500 to book him!
I remember watching Radiohead perform creep and watching all the beautiful young couples swaying along to it because it was 'their' song, and thinking 'fuck off, this isn't yours'
I remember when I first got into Radiohead in junior high or high school and it did take a while to get into them but now I think they’re easily in the conversation for best band ever and they have 3 or 4 albums that could be considered top 50 of all albums I’ve ever heard at least.
I am 51 and have loved them since 1995 when I heard The Bends at a friend’s house. I don’t hate Creep because I get Thom’s sarcasm in it. But I will drown in their albums. TBH, Moon Shaped Pool has become one of my favorites. Though, I am still mesmerized by The Bends, OK Computer and Amnesiac. I like Kid A but I have to be in a certain mood for it.
I can get why people dont like them. Sometimes the vocal performances can sound very similar across multiple songs+ the monotone droning on n on can get old.
I take long trips in the car, and while we drive, my father used to play some of Radiohead's songs he saved as mp3s in his car. So I was really familiar by this band. Thanks dad for introducing me to this wonderful band.
I find it kinda hard to explore Radiohead. I love Creep and No Surprises, but they take me to this dark feeling that becomes a little too much for me at times.
Honestly ive never met a radiohead fan in person. Oh theres tons of Creep fans, but not a single fan that knows that they existed beyond 97. Thats both very frustrating and very remarkable at the same time I think.
i remember the mid 1990s first hearing about them randomly on my friends dads tv. Some mtv news clip kurt loder was talking about this new band with this new hit song.
I played creep infront of my class cause I got many points for correct answers in music class…(I told teacher to play radiohead-karma police, but he played creep) howeevr creep is amazing song too (he played the one for concert but whatever) and I was listening to my fav song being in love while others didn’t even listen to first 5 secs and started making fun of me like “Why are you lsitening to this lol, it’s soo baddd” and that really hurted me/ made me mad cause tf, the band is literally so good and famous for a reason. I don’t see them being stars of 90’s? They started singing bad on purpose and then when they played their song (yeet or smth like that😂 it was terrible but ok) they expected me to stay calm.
I’m a HUGE Radiohead fan these days, but when this video came out, I would say it was the singular reason I believed I hated them throughout the 90’s. I heard other songs of course, but this was the first song and video I thought of when I heard the name Radiohead, and as a 12 year old that would rather listen to the Smashing Pumpkins and heavier music, this song turned me off big time. Now, I can really appreciate it both artistically and lyrically. And the funniest thing is The Bends is probably my favorite album of theirs (unpopular opinion I’m sure, but I think its an amazing album)
I love Radiohead and my friend does not. He thinks of "Fitter Happier" when referencing Radiohead. (He knows more than Creep because of me playing their music). That or anything that sounds a bit atonal, or has a bit of cacaphony, or indecipherable lyrics.
radiohead too sad and depressing . i need my endorphins and dopamine bcuz im a simple primitive human being with undeveloped brain. *every one who tries to discredit radiohead work
