Jay Glazer just announced what really happened in the hours and days that led up to Josh McDaniels' firing from the Las Vegas Raiders. Twitter: / clashersports Instagram: / clashersports #raiders #joshmcdaniels #antoniopierce
Exactly like one time one of the sportscaster said they can move to San Antonio and people would still follow them you damn right we would follow them cuz we are Raider Nation for life
Credit taken away from Mark Davis for firing Gruden when the players wanted to keep him. Al Davis wouldn't have cared what people thought of him. Just win baby.
Now that's what you call UNpatriotic! your new team is like your country you're supposed to be loyal. that's what a Patriot is. someone loyal so if you are employed by the raiders why the f are you defending another teams honor🤷
The bottom line is Josh McDaniels should have never been hired again as a head coach. He never seemed liked the type of who could really lead men, once he was not with the Patriots.
I think Bill Bellichick made it look easier and easier as years went by. That he thought he could do what Bill did AND call plays. Huge EGO right there.
He came into Denver and immediately ran off their franchise QB and brought in Tim Tebow. He intentionally made it all about himself. He’s a loser and the worst HC in modern NFL history by a lot.
If Josh McDaniels was a VALORANT teammate he would be the one that instantly locks in as a duelist and finishes the game with 5 kills and 21 deaths and then blames the team.
How do you ask a man to speak for you and then after it works, get on him for how he does it?? Sounds like the man had a chance to show some humility to his team and let it pass
Probably the "Passing Game Coordinator" for the Patriots next season or something... Lol at him being such a clueless douche that he ruined the moment the team was going to start buying in.
This is telling and completely believable. McDaniels was a mistake hire. So was Ziegler. It was brutal to watch. He learned zero from his stint in Denver. 👋
More defensive about the Patriots than the Raiders. Get lost, 'coach'. We Raiders fans do not ever want to be the Patriots and hold zero reverence to any of their 'ways', which history is clearly proving to simply mean they were fortunate to have Brady leading them. That Belichik coaching tree is a losing proposition. In fact, without Brady, Belichik is absolutely and completely average.
@@777tmackbecause belichick only hiring bootlicking yes men , he’ll put a special teams coach as a offensive coordinator he doesnt want anyone smarter than him thinking they can have a say he is a control freak. Let’s not forget belichick is coach and gm of the patriots so everyone in the building has to do what he ask.
I don't think it's all about not being as smart as Belichick - I think it's that he has reason to believe they'll be loyal and won't expose the cheating.
i mean we didn't hear the whole speach he gave. glazer gives us less than the spark notes would. i could see if he was saying "blah blah, stepford patriots did it this way and lost that year" i can see how you'd be offended and also like, "not gonna mention the other 6 years where it did work? just gonna ignore all the records that 07 team set?" but we don't really know cause glazer is just putting out the spicey bits
Macdaniels was the worst coach in the entire history of the n. F. L.... His mtto was loose baby loose... He was hoping he could destroy the raiders so the patriots could by the devalued raiders for pennies on the dollars
Doesn't matter what was said in the locker room, the product on the field is what matters the most Mcdanials took control of a 10-7 team, under his leadership they went from bad to worse to unrecognizable in a season and a half. I'm glad that guy is gone. Raiders fan from 1969 to present.
McDaniels had two opportunities as a head coach in the NFL. All anyone can ask for is a chance. He got more than one chance and couldn't produce the desired result. That's on him. No hate!!
There is this business book with the title The Peter Principle. You may have heard of it and it is often misunderstood. The Peter Principle (named for Dr. Peter who wrote the book) is that people tend to rise in a heiarchy until they reach a level they are not good at - and they get stuck there. Sometimes referred to as "rising to the level of your incompetence". The idea behind the book was to try and help people avoid this and Josh McDaniels is a great example - he is a great offensive coordinator and a terrible head coach. He should try and find contentment in what he does well and not feel the need to seek the top job which he is simply not suited for.
No, he had THREE opportunities to be a head coach - and it was ridiculous, and idiotic for Mark Davis to even interview him, knowing what he did with the second chance at being a head coach.
Trust me I will never feel sorry for Josh McStuped. The Pats success was more Tom Brady than anything Josh did. The only thing that saved the Broncos was Peyton Manning. Hopefully the Raiders can move forward with their new head coach and new quarterback and build the Raiders back to what they’re supposed to be.
I do hope this finally puts an end to the fascination with bellichick assistants. None of them have ever had success outside of New England!! None! Why guys like McDoufous was given a chance By my raiders of all teams I’ll never know! The patriots way was never a thing. It’s more of a myth. Brady was the guy who held that franchise together. Not bellichick. Not Josh not anyone else.
McDaniels agreed to coach the Colts in 2018, then backed out of the deal at the last minute. Also was a Disaster as HC of the Broncos. He will go back to his Daddy . . . Bill Belichick. I can Never Root for guy-like-him.
He had no business being considered for a head coaching job after that. Mark Davis is clearly an idiot based on that move alone - especially when he had Bisacchia lead them to the playoffs despite the ridiculous scandals they had that season.
Hear that roar? It is not a roar. It is every Raiders fan finally able to breathe again after a year and a half of suffocating beneath McDaniels' incompetence
He said when we beat the patriots we believed we could beat anyone and McDaniels says don’t talk about the patriots like that lmao 😂. Wow he missed the whole moral of the story. Thank God he’s no longer
The Patriots were not "magic," they had Tom Brady. The whole world can see the Patriots winning percentage since he left... 26-30 (46%) versus 219-66 (77%). And Brady won another Super Bowl with the Buccaneers too...right away! At age 43 he went 21 of 29 with 3 touchdowns. Brady lifts those around him, not vice versa. I'm not a Brady fan, but I can search out the facts. Mark Davis should have learned from McDaniels time at Denver 11-17 or 39%. But it's the way McDaniels treats his players. Simply horrifying. Look, Vince Lombardi was hard on his players, but he brought out the best in them and ONE word of encouragement to them in private made them want to run through a wall for him. I get the perception that McDaniels players would run through a wall to get away from him.
The vibe josh mcdaniels had was he was coaching to set himself up for the next job. He wasn’t genuine and his decision making and players he brought in used to play for the patriots. That’s like drafting a fantasy with only my favorite teams players. You will never win that way.
Imagine going into a battle for your life and you ask somene else to give the gut saving speech to rally the troops. What a Coward and a Loser.Nothing close to a Leader or Winner.
I'm not a Raiders fan but feel so bad for them. In 2021 they fired their coach and an assistant took over and did great. All they had to do was name him head coach, he had already proved he could do the job. Instead, they let him go to hire a coach who had also already proven something - he'd already proved (with the Broncos) that he couldn't do the job. The mistake has now been brought into full focus.....but what can you do about it now? Sad.
@@lampson1986 You missed my point. I was talking about the assistant who took over after. He did a really good job - why didn't they just give him a chance to continue?
Most failed coaches have that epic bad move that stands out and kind a defines their failure. But I could literally list 20 instances where he was epically bad and still have others remind me of 50 more.
"Don't ever talk about the Patriots like that". 😯 He should never be an HC in this league again. As an OC he sucked outside of New England so I wouldn't hire him there either
Laughing my ass off!!!…why all of a sudden after the firing of McDaniels…does everyone come out with an answer as to why??!! I hold no respect to all of you😡 Raiders beat the giants…the Jets are next. Please step off this Raiders, Silver and Black Kick ass tour 😡😡😡 Raiders!!…pay attention in what’s happening…let it go, because it’s only about RAIDERS FOOTBALL. Questions,Doubts or Concerns??…NONE. New York Jets!!… COME ON DOWN!!!
He never wanted to leave New England. Look what happened with the Colts. I think he left because of outside pressure as many think the next logical step was to take a head coaching job somewhere. Josh is actually a great coach but not an NFL head coach and that's okay. He should just embrace the OC position and be great at it. Many say this and that about New England and why they went downhill the last two years. Well, who has not been there? Josh McDaniels. He coached a rookie Mac Jones to a 10-7 record. Last season they went two games backwards at 8-9. Now it looks like they are going 5 games back on top of that at 3-14! He was the piece that held the Patriots together for their dynasty 2.0. Think back to the couple years he left to Denver. The Patriots got smashed by the Ravens and only put up 13 points at home in 2009. Then in 2010, the Patriots had a good season but were one and done against Rex Ryan and the Jets! Both games they could not score points without Josh at OC...even with the great Tom Brady. McDaniels comes back in late 2013 and they just happen to win a Super Bowl in 2014...then 2016....and finally 2018. He ends it with the earlier stated impressive Mac Jones rookie season. Once before you have served the great Patriots Empire. We need you now. This is our most desperate hour. Help us Josh McDaniels, you're our ONLY hope!
Josh Daniels a POS confirmed. Dude needs to let go of the past. Tom Brady was that offense mot him. Hope he gets the Urban Meyer treatment and he does not get another shot in the NFL.
Matt Patricia, Joe Judge, Josh McDaniels....all from the Bill B coaching tree. ALL three acted like arrogant know-it-alls and the players hated them. Matt Patricia was extremely hated in Detroit. All three of these guys thought they could coach and act like Bill B. That's what got them all fired. Pure arrogance.
Ok so all players hated him. Most of the staff didnt loke him. Owner had no idea he was garbage... the story word for word is AP made a speech for JM brought up the SB and when "every one left" JM told AP "dont you ever talk about that patriots like that again" and then we saw the divide in the building. First if majority of the building disliked him besides maybe the gm wheres the "divide"? Second if every one left who witnessed JM say this? And last why did it take until now for the owner to figure out the problem with his team when fans media and players ALL knew it was a bad idea. From the moment he cut carr when carr gor you the best wr in the fckn league u cut him... i have so many questions... u cant tell me this stuff isnt scripted to some degree it just makes no sense. This has to be a publicity stunt to A. Get fans on the edge of their seat to see what he could do after such drastict decisions and B. To piss them off on purpose to reel them back in with the firing. After the W with him gone i bet raiders ticket sales go back up 🙄
Josh McDaniels wasn't a good head coach for Denver and wasn't for the Raiders. I have always thought that there are coaches who should be coaches and coordinators as coordinators. Josh is just a Coordinator who is making a lot of money now. If he gets another HC job, he won't do well neither. The Patroit way is the Bill way only.
Mentally checked out???? But will make millions sittting on his couch, these coaches get paid wayyyyy too much while people who do jobs to actually help the world get paid pennies...This world is so upside down.
Mc Daniels screws up and has done zero with each head coaching position he's received. Yet his name is always mentioned at the end of the year when there's head coaching vacancies. He'll do what he usually does..go get hired again as a coordinator and wait until he gets called for another head coaching interview. While others can't get a head coaching gig due to their past or non head coaching experience this 🤡 past isn't held against him. Hope the raiders aren't using the coach they have now just to get them through the season until they can find a head coach.
we want the Al Davis way, kick ass , and the long ball , of old time Raider foot ball !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To be fair, when you trade off multiple core pieces of the offense and replace then with lesser players their is no way you're going to be better. On paper the Raiders were not a good team and its not surprising they stink . ✌️
This is simultaneously the most unbelievable, yet believable thing that I've heard all year. I can picture McDaniel's talking about the Patriots like someone who talks about their ex that they're still in love with 😂like DON'T YOU EVER BESMIRCH THE PATRIOTS IN FRONT OF ME!!! Lmfao.
Hmmm, the Belichick Coaching Tree has a combined record of 204 wins, 288 Losses & 2 Ties. Josh McDaniels: 20-33 Romeo Crennel: 32-63 Brian Daboll: 11-13-1 Al Groh: 9-7 Brian Flores: 24-25 Joe Judge: 10-23 Eric Mangini: 33-47 Bill O'Brien: 52-48 Matt Patricia: 13-29-1
If Pierce does too well, Raiders will let him go and hire a backyard football benchwarmer or a garage band groupie. If every game is against the Patriots though, McDaniel will be 20-0
