I think he underestimated his competition. He thought he could make it out the semis from just cruising. He got too comfortable and ended up getting humbled.
Is it OK just to get beat sometime I mean bolt got beat by Gatlin. does anybody have a reason why that happened? No but it did its competition you going to Win some and you’re going to lose some
He said in his interview like 3 times that he was healthy, I think he took it too easy in the first 50 and by the time he realized his mistake it was too late. Honestly props to him for even taking the interview and making no excuses.
Jesus Christ loves you ❤ He got on that cross for you. He bled for you. He laid down His life for you. Then rose from the dead! So that we can have the chance to be with Him. His holy blood washes away our sins so we can enter His kingdom forever! But only if we have a relationship with Him and He is our Lord and Saviour. Come to Jesus Christ today 🙏 He wants to save you and bless you! He loves you much more than you think. God bless you.
I’m not an elite sprinter (heck, I’m not a sprinter at all) but I’m honestly surprised this doesn’t happen more often; in a race where even the slightest change in form or a bad start can bring you from first to last by milliseconds I’m astonished by the level of consistency top sprinters have
Lets not forget about Tebogo. I don't know if anyone else see's this but his form looks very similar to that of Usain Bolt. I think he could do great things in the future.

Im I the only one that’s noticed his form has changed from last year to this year? His stride is a lot more choppy this year compared to it being more fluid and longer last year but idk could be making it up but his form/mechanics are definitely different
Why would you say that when he ran consecutive 9.7s las year? It wasn't the competition. It was him. Something has definitely changed in his form from last year to this.
He’s definitely injured. Just like Gabby last year, he ran far too many races. Running the 100m, 200m, and 400m through the season, meant that he had to train for all races. That makes one susceptible to injuries.
Back in January and for five months he was all over Instagram with his “y’all don’t know what’s coming” #triplegold smack talk. Then, bizarrely, one month ago he physically moved to Texas and started posting about being a black cowboy and wanting to buy horses. Strange timing for that switch in focus. I think he was humbled a while back when he failed to make the team in the 200.
He won't say because he doesn't want to give excuses. He has seemed healthy all year. He ran sub 10 all year. His 200m time at US trials suggested he was still in great form. I assume he must've tweaked something a few weeks before WCh and couldn't recover. He should be fine next year.
what no one talks about is that Kerley tore a hamstring last year trying to make a double in 2022. There are a lot of athletes who have not been able to come back from a major injury within one season. Thompson-Herah. Jacobs. Van Niekerk. And many others. So that's an issue for Fred. Another issue, admittedly theoretical, that no one talks about is that big, muscular men have a harder time managing their season peak than lean muscular men do. Fred used to be a lean man. Now he's a big man. He and Omanyala lost their legs after peaking too early this year. All the lean guys kept on improving and peaked at or near worlds. The big guys are over-stressing their legs by running too fast too soon.
Bro needs to show us what he can do in the 200m. 9.76 100 and 43.64 400m is no joke. #6 in 100m all time, and #8 in 400m all time. He should be doing sub 19.5 which would make him the fastest sprinter in all 4 events combined. But i guess the 100m gets all the glory, which is worth alot.
I think he needs a 200 specialist coach or consultant. His 200 time makes no sense but he can't handle the turn for nothing. Sometimes you gotta step out of your comfort zone to do new things. His coach is a 400 guys if I recall.
Maurice Green was on an interview with Citius Mag (or whatever it's called) talking about Fred. He mentioned his running looks weird as if his body is not angled right in the different phases. You could tell as soon as the race was over he did not want to go through the press and talk with NBC.
Was disappointed in his lack of grace in the post race interview. If you are happy to be in front of the mic when you are winning you have to accept it when you lose. Coleman's interview was just as brutal and he handled it well.
@@cavaleerI think he's obligated to do the interview. When he tried to walk off,the woman was trying to grab and direct him somewhere other than off the track. He made a gesture to her like "give me a moment" (only speculating on that,of course I could be wrong). I'm one of those who had no problems with his interview,he took accountability and made no excuses. Even his F bomb was directed at himself. For him,the moment didn't call for him to say "I messed up" ,instead he said "I fucked up". Given how obviously he was disappointed with himself,I didn't find his f bomb offensive.
Why do adults want other adults to lie to them. He was frustrated and his honest take on that was welcome imo. I'm not sure why a cookie cutter answer would be better.
Coleman has about 15 IQ points on Fred. #realtalk. Fred is on the verge of thugging out at all times and does not speak well and is surly even when he’s happy.
Still rocking with dude - He didn’t look as sharp this year, and after worlds he lost a few diamond league races as well - which might suggest something.
Overconfident and not focused. Plus he ran into guys that could beat him. He gave his spot up to Noah and will have a very difficult time getting it back.
looks like he changed his running style slightly. If you look close his arm swing is lower than previous season and from the looks of it it's messing up his top end speed.
Fred CHOKED on the big stage again when the expectations are on him being the man. He was humbled not making the US 200 team also as he ran scared thru the qualifying rounds.
This is exactly what I thought had happened when I first saw the race! His form has looked a bit off since the US meet this year too. The competition is too good to be underestimating anyone so I hope that's not the case either. Hope he comes back stronger
TAG will be just fine they signed Summer Mcintosh before World Aquatics Champs... she's going to be the biggest star in Paris 2024. She misfired in the 400 Free and didn't have a tantrum with the media & she's 16.
That interview started terribly and never should have escalated to the level where Kerley said, look, I effed up and I would like to move on. I think he said he wanted to move on like 2 or 3 times but Lewis kept digging in.
Arrogance is something else! Watching him run in that race you could see that he wasn’t giving his all t win the race. How can you run with your chin up in the air as if you’re leading, but you have one already in front of you?🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ His run in the relays was completely ALL OUT!!
Personally he was hardly challenged this season until now and he underestimated himself. He got to comfortable winning barely running 🏃♀️ under 10sec he was running about 9:98 and over all season.
The only reason TRP dropped this video about Fred Kerley is to remind his sponsors that he dropped the F bomb. I saw a couple of his post race interviews, didn’t hear the F-bomb. Also, i doubt if Tag Heuer watches and Oakley glasses cost Thousand and Thousand of Dollars like TRP said. TRP, please let these athletes live. I intend to buy an Oakley glasses today just because Fred dropped the F-bomb, he’s human. I hope the glasses is not thousand and thousand of dollars, whatever that means?🤷🏿♀️because it’d be out of my price range.
I don't think Fred Kerley went all out. To me, it looked like he gave 80% effort which he thought would he good enough to get him through to the final. But the competition is too stiff to he cruising in the semis. Just look at the men's 400m semis, it was the fastest in history and records were broken and people were getting PBs.
I don’t think it matters much what you say or even prove, why, because most people are merely Fans(fanatics) and lack the mental dexterity to figure out the what, why, how or whatever!! All they care about is their guy won!! Noah and ShaCarri won with times that at least one other competitor has done, yet people are behaving as if the winning itself was a show of outclassing the competition!! In both cases there are about 3 people with equal or better times to their names!! Sure what you do on the day counts but consider being bested by a standard lower than your own….that’s gotta be hard to swallow!! It different when you know you couldn’t have done better but doing less than your best makes you cringe at least!! Life with is twists n turns, is a wonderful journey!! Perspective!!
ummm..... i think the fact that noah and shacarri won DOES show that they outclassed the competition. just because you dont set a world record doesnt mean that youre not good. other factors like weather and previous rounds make a difference
It wasn't the competition. Fred didn't look as explosive this entire season as he did in 2022. I think there's a technical reason behind it. Recall last year he was running 9.7s and low 9.8s. He needs to go back to the lab. I personally think he needs to bring in a 100/200 specialist because his 200 makes no sense or maybe a whole new coach. To do new things sometimes you need a new team. He should've declined the interview, tbh. That's even worse than football or basketball players post-game interviews.
He tried to avoid the interview. They forced him to do it. Saw him trying to walk off and a media person grabbed him and told him he had to talk. The interview was bullshit. Fred shouldn't be criticized for having an emotional response to being told by a dumbass reporter to go over his devastating loss from start to finish. That's a dick move.
2022 world championship title was the begining of new life for FK. New sponsor Fred opened season early in australia Traveled and competed in too many countries I mean , he appears like guy discover world du to his new $ contract$ Such as young rappers from gettho wich get first big advance from producers company. So Too fast too early No need to prepared trials And forgot to focus to WC. To conclude: bad manager
He was slow all year, so i'm not surprised. Also those post race interviews have always been super bad. They're almost always very disrespectful of the athletes. I skip them 99% of the time. Thinking cursing on tv is a bad look is fucking 1990s style cringe. NO one cares.
@@nickatnite16 tell me how many top athletes are making finals in ANY event wearing ASICS. Nike is so far ahead of them in technology, it isn’t funny. I do not think it is 100% the shoes, but I do think switching sponsorship played a role in his season.
@@baumsquad222 Asics or any other brand don't have the majority of top tier athletes,Nike and Adidas has the majority of top tier Athletes on their roster. Puma has a lot of top tier T&F athletes on their roster. Now Elaine hasn't been the same since she switched from Nike to Puma, but I don't attribute that to the shoes, would you(switching from a successful coach to your relatively inexperienced husband is much more of a factor than shoes)? Look at the success Jackson has as a Puma athlete (and before her,Bolt). Kerley will come back whilst wearing Asics
He underestimated his competition. He started the interview with 's*** happens.' I was stunned until he dropped the F bomb and the commentator apologized for the language at the end. On his IG that next day, he posted some out of the way photo. I thought he'd post a pic or two from the event, but nope. Nah, you're one of those athletes who's a sore loser and hates the world until he wins.
How about Fred knows Fred better than you do?? Like he said, he effed up.. Didn't do what he needed to.. Period.. Underestimated how comp and didn't put enough into the race until it was too late.. And I'm not blaming Fred for the interview.. Lewis needed to back off.. Free didn't want to talk immediately after in the moment.. Let him go..
