I really do not know why some people think maguire was the worst buy of united history 2020/2021 he was united's best player and the best defender in the prem and the most tackles in the prem and helping united to qualify for the ucl, to be honest he was worth the money for that season and so other seasons
Maguire will do good in a team that likes to play on the counter and keeps a tight defence most of the time. His mistakes usually happens cause he gets caught off guard while pressing due to his lack of pace.
I think he’s just not suited to an attacking possession based team, which is what Ten Hag wants, he does well for England because of how defensive they are, so there lots of other, better players to make up for him
