What Rod & Reel I'm Using - One Reel To Rule Them All! 

I am sponsored by Penn and have access to the other pure fishing brands 100% Just about anyone that has followed me for a while knows this and how this came about as I am always completely transparent about it... Just like the kayak I’m on, I used Stealth and Penn gear before I had sponsorship, as you can clearly see in my older videos, and then was lucky to gain some support because of the videos I was doing. I never push products and have even shown Penn reels and rods failing on my vids. If you think Stealth were overjoyed with me showing me flip the skiff, you’re wrong 😅 Believe it or not have turned down quite a few big names simply because I didn’t use the product or believe it was something I couldn’t be honest about... at the end of the day I believe that RU-vid is meant to be about the regular guy and not the big tv sponsored guy, that’s the reason I watch RU-vid vids in the first place and started making the vids myself. I hope you stick around and see what I’m about, apart from these rod and reel arsenal vids I rarely bring up the gear and just let the regular use do the talking, if someone asked about it I’m always happy to answer. I only have a handful of sponsors and they are all brands that I was using or had faith in already. The same here...ugly stick with penn slammer...its an ubeatable combo for pretty much everything. Lake...sea...boat...nothing will beat that combo!!

@@johnmurcott1273 yea, they are solid reels. They aren't the smoothest when comparing to a similar Shimano or Daiwa, but the Drag is smooth and well up there in comparisons. I would recommend them.

Hey mate, good to hear you’re getting into it all and getting out there! Yes I have looked at twitch, even started an account but never did anything with it. I have done a few live streams on RU-vid but to start from scratch on twitch got put on the back burner... probably should have though as the IRL stuff is growing fast👍

I use it when I’m live baiting and I don’t have a permanent weight on the line. If I’m targeting the top of the water column and I see fish down deep I add the sinker with the rubber band just above the braid to leader knot. 👍

p.s. fairplay for saying this is what you use. Rather than knocking other providers.

Should swap over super easy. Just wind the handle handle in reverse until it comes off, then take off the end cap on the opposite side of the hole and swap them around👍

@@rokkitkit weird thing is that it has no thread to screw in on the right hand side. All my other PENN fixed spools is an easy swap over but does but not seem to be the case with the Slammer III 4500 for some reason. Cheers for the reply though and keep the videos coming!

Yea I use braid on all my reels now, I like the line sensitivity and line capacity. Line rating depends on the reel and target but I only use two knots these days, unit knot to hook or lure. Double uni for braid to leader. If I need to cast with thick line I’ll use a FG so it runs through the guide better👍

Yep I just give my reels a good hosing after use and that’s it. The ipx6 sealing protects everything in both spool and main body. The only one that is close to getting exposed is a sealed bearing so you should be pretty good. Count hurt to give a little oil though, one place I do lube when needed is the bail arm and spring👍
