My late husband was an electronics engineer and worked on some of those big million dollar fancy units when we lived in Florida. He serviced the battery power systems. I loved meeting the folks who lived in them full time!

I was born and raised in northern Indiana. I loved going to the big RV shows at Notre Dame every year. Being so close to Elkhart/Middlebury RV manufacturing, we always got to see the best at great prices! I'm always blown away at how much storage and cool layouts there are!

Cris- this brought back memories when my husband and I would go camping- started tent camping, then a pop up and then upgraded to a 24’ Terry Taurus trailer(with full bath -a must) that we kept on an annual campsite at Hunter Lake campground in Liberty, NY. We would work during the week in suburban NY, then leave our apartment and head to the campground “every” weekend including winters when we would snowmobile with friends. Many good times and now memories.

First time commenting and just subscribed. Been meaning to do that a long time ago since I have been following Tampa Jay for a while. I highly recommend a rv. I have a Pleasure Way Sprinter van and love having the freedom to just jump in and go anywhere. Super convenient when traveling. They are super expensive but they are easy to park and can fit in areas better than another Class

I grew up camping every summer my parents had 2 RVs when I was growing up first one they got used and then the 2nd one they bought new which was a very nice glamper with air conditioning big beds and comfy couch real nice stereo and all kinds of other bells n whistles. If I could do an RV or camper whichever I'd get like a cargo van type sprinter thing so I could build it out myself. Good luck

Hi Cris and Tampa Jay. We have owned 2 cab over RVs. Lived traveling in them! Drive wherever you want and fix your meals, sleep in your own bed! Some of them have pop-outs to give more room!

I love looking at various styles of tiny homes, RVs, Camper Vans, etc. This was a fun video. I should look into RV shows in my state. That Geneva camper has to be my favorite one. That's so nice. I liked the bathroom setup and the bedroom area. I think it would be perfect for a single person or a couple. It may have all those additional sleeping areas, but just looking at from a single person POV, I think that the overhead area above the cab would be perfect for additional storage. Or if I were to get it before my kiddo graduates high school, it would be a cool loft area for her, but I know she's not into this kinda thing so I'm more likely to wait till she's off to college to get it for myself for solo road trips with my cat. Traveling cat lady mode will be fully activated when the kiddo moves out. 😂😂

We have a Pleasure Way B+, the reason they are expensive is they are on a Mercedes chassis and are Canadian made. Very nice RV, initially had issues with the warranty but it's all straightened out now. They are convenient to travel in and fit in a normal parking spot. I can see you guys on an RV of don't sort. Airstream are ridiculous priced. IMO, more slide outs you have, the more issues you'll have. I enjoy watching both of you vlogs! Take care

Have you had your Blood pressure checked out, Vertigo could mean low. Rob with the bathroom in the back would be a choice I would consider. Surprised at the axe because anyone could take it . I’d like it for splitting wood. 👍🏻🇺🇸🌹

My family has owned a few rvs over the years, big and small, towable and driveable, my best advice is treat it like a boat; Bring Out Another Thousand 🤑 they are alot of fun, they are gas guzzlers, they save you on hotel rooms, the better move I'd say is a towable camper because you don't have to worry about the engine and mechanical part of the rv needing repairs and breaking down, you can simply tow it with your truck or whatever disconnect when you arrive and drive off in your vehicle just my opinion from 20 years experience 😊

Fun to listen to you. My advice, for a first RV, do NOT buy ANYTHING made in Indiana. Period. There does not exist ANY quality products coming out of Indiana, and being a first RV, you are learning. Learn with quality, and enjoy it. Better to buy a used quality RV than something that will destroy your vacations. We had someone talk us out of this, and into a quality unit; we are so thankful. Beyond thankful.. Don’t waste your money on Indiana junk. Nothing QUALITY, comes out of Indiana (Stay far away from Forest river, Winnebago, Grand Design, Ember, Coach, Thor, Dutchman, Jayco)…. IF you get into this, look at a Nucamp, Lance, Oliver, Escape, or maybe an overland unit that is small, imported from Australia , even a truck camper. Possibly a small airstream or even ATC toy hauler. It is the things you can’t see that make it worth it, CNC’ed construction, composites , no nails or staples, bounded cabling, insulated all the way around, no wood framing,…. If you walk into a trailer that has trim around the floors, ceilings, to hide the gaps in panels and construction, walk away!! Be educated on construction not features. Good hunting!!

Well, unless you're not going to get yourselves a truck that leaves 5th wheels out, which is what I have. And the problems I have seen with people and brand new RV's and the price and quality, I'm so glad I bought second hand. Also, buying secondhand, I was able to put my own touches on it. I would feel guilty if i bought brand new and started changing floors and cabinets to suit my wants. Also, you could buy a brand new chassis and do the interior yourself for so much cheaper. I love going to RV shows. I think you 2 have the imagination and ambition to do a DIY. It would make for good content as well. Great Vlog!!

Just a tip for you guys, ask your parents to, before you jump into an RV, make sure you know there is a place for you to get it worked on when needed, biggest problem in the RV industry, there isn't nearly enough technicians to Work on them, so beware , simple repairs can take 6 months

cris, rent en few times before you buy... when you buy your stuk with it. using it maybe 2/3 times a year is not the investment worth.. dont forget all the aditonel costs like insurance.

Using it only 2-3 times a year is just a waste if that’s all you’re using it don’t buy one stay in a hotel. Unless you plan on using it 10+ times a year don’t buy one.

I've watched Trent and Allie go from relatable content makers to all about how much money they can make. Cris and Jay will never be that I can promise you that. You proved my point, people meet untimely circumstances,If it’s true what AI will do to YT influencers in the near future it would be beneficial for Chrissy& J to build a nest egg for financial stability for what is to come, which is a good thing for them weather AI does or doesn’t do what they are saying will happen! BTW Trent & Allie have sponsors because people watch their channel and love seeing how far they have come since their first videos on mountain bike riding to building a successful second business “ mountain made vans “ even a third business if he chooses to run “land excavation “ which could net a quarter of a million annually with the heavy equipment that Trent bought! Even a fourth business as a landlord if they choose “renting the home they built!! While they build another home!! Point i am making is they have a huge nest egg of opportunity, do you really want to see Chrissy & J not to succeed and just stay the same course until the possibility of AI taking their income from them! In case you didn’t know they are following other influencers directions and filming at the RV show which in a way is who is sponsoring them!!!lol lol

@@raymonddriggers You proved my point as well. If Trent and Allie are financially stable with plenty then why all the sponsorships? Because it's turned into all about the Benjamins for them period. I had watched them from their humble beginnings and I had to unsubscribe because it was nothing more than whatever cash grab they could get each week. Cris and Jay do very few sponsored videos by CHOICE. Not everyone is looking to run 4 businesses instead of enjoying life and being content with what you've got. I don't agree about AI taking over because there are real people who want to follow real people. Cris and Jay also have 9 to 5 jobs so they are going to be just fine. 🫶🏼

😮 a show of price sticker shock 😳😲⚡️🫨😬 Airstream back when I was a school kid, they operated an assembly plant near my home in South El Monte, California. c. 1963 I owned a class A motor home 34’ Pace Arrow. Back then we also owned ATVs and would ride them in the sand dunes in Eastern Imperial County in California. We enjoyed those days. RVs manufacturers took the business towards high luxury vehicles making their products out of reach by middle class buyers. Enjoyable episode.👋
