Most thorough review i've seen yet. I've got a 2010 XC60 T6 and a lot of this still holds true. I mounted my own tow bar and it was a bear! I do wish the original buyer went for the option haha

Looks a great car. I did a similar review for my car, as don’t see many towing. I think I should stick to videoing our adventures 😂 thanks for sharing

Love ours, even if it is a little bit younger, still a brilliant car and, touch wood, serves us extremely well both as a daily and a tug for our Coachman... 👍🏻 Cheers Becky, Rog... 👍🏻 😉 🐍

Excellent review. Thankyou. It is a car that is on my shortlist of next tow cars. I recently watched a review of a XC90, they also mentioned a large turning circle.

My pleasure and thanks for the useful comments; we discounted the 90 as a little too large for our everyday needs but many people speak very highly of them. Not sure if the turning circle is such an issue on newer models - definitely something worth looking into. I've also heard that the auto boxes are much better on newer ones (ours is manual as I really disliked the autos at test drive, though I now have a DSG auto T6 Caravelle which has an excellent gearbox!) and of course the 20" wheels on our particular XC60 won't be helping!

quite a few features compared to the xc70's of a decade earlier, though same tow rating of 3300 lbs.

Wow, fantastic informative and detailed review of your tow car, puts mine to shame! A lot of great gadgets to help there. There is not enough info or reviews on used tow vehicles so this is a great addition and no doubt will help people like me who can’t quite reach the 40k tow car market 🤔 Thanks for the shout out, Cheers Martin 🙂

The Caravan Nut thanks for the inspiration to put it together :) as this vehicle was ex-demo it came loaded with all the gizmos and many are actually really useful as double checks don’t think I even mentioned the camera that monitors speed signs. Shouldn’t replace the aim to drive well of course but v handy to help reduce momentary concentration lapses, etc. I’m really impressed with this car :)
