You were one of my favorite youtubers when I was in highschool! I'm so glad that you are back and it's so weird for me to see everyone grow up including myself. Excited for more videos to come from you
That was definitely one of my main reasons for posting this. I am so glad it was helpful! Not many people talk about this topic, but so many people go through it... I've realized that there is nothing to be ashamed of, it's just part of the "process"... and everyone eventually will get through the initial hurdle!
I know exactly what you are going through right now! The long distance relationship, being away from family, the fear of not knowing what to do with your life... You just have to take it one day at a time, and it gets easier with every passing day. Keep the faith, take care of yourself and you will get through the rough patch :)
Thank you so much, Julie!! I really appreciate the advice. That's what I've been doing - easier said than done - but taking it one day at a time has been helping
Thanks for this. This is so real. I'm going through the same thing. Going from an excellent career to a stay at home mom. It's a difficult transition. Congratulations on the new job 😊
Sooo glad you shared this! I've been watching your videos religiously from your outfit of the week videos in your parents room! (My favorites lol) I just turned 25, I'm in graduate school and at a job where I know I want to move up, this was so relatable!! Keep sharing girl!!
so great that you've found your footing. I am still looking for a job out of school and it's definitely tough. so great that you've found a great guy too. we are the same age and have had a similar path and I've been following you for a long time. long-distance is tough. it will be an adjustment for sure but life works out always even if it's not exactly how we want🌷good luck girl!!
Aww thank you so much for the sweet words!! It's definitely been an adjustment, but one that will be a benefit in the long-run (what I tell myself at least!). It was months of just applying for jobs in two cities before getting one...a definite rough time for me. Not easy, but you just gotta keep pushing!
I'm so glad to see a new video from you :) I do feel the same way as you right now. I'm having difficulties in school, family, and many other personal problems. I know it's normal to struggle, but it is such a new feeling and weird. I hope we can all go through this and at one point, we'll feel good thinking that we made it through :)
Yes!! It's hard to feel that way when things are rough (that we'll make it through), but it helps to use that as a reminder to not give up. I hope things will pick up for you soon!!
I'm glad you told us about what's been going on in your life because I don't really do social medias so I didn't get much updates. I'm glad you feel like you got your life a bit more together now bc I can relate and it is stressful. I remember you were a source of motivation (as a fellow montrealer) to find a job once I finished my 2nd bachelor. I really missed your videos; I'm glad I didn't unsubscribe. Congrats on the job!
Love the video and how open you were! 😊 I completely relate to you I will be graduating college and the future doesn't seem as clear but it's also exciting to start a new chapter in life.
Awww, you are the sweetest! I always smile when I see your comments but I remember you from way back(creepy or just a good memory? lol) - you being here for me up to now means more than you will ever know
Sharing is caring, true words, it helps us to realize that we are all in the same boat, not at the same time but we will be there! Struggles almost always bring about a rebirth of one's self ...its how we learn to rely on our best instincts in order to reach that higher ground! Through this experience you've learnt ....you are stronger than you thought you were, who your true friends are and how truly blessed you are to have supportive family, oh and lets not forget the part our dear George🐶 played as well.... hahaha!!! This is my mantra for tough times "Remember the Oyster took an irritation and made of it a PEARL!" It is what you've learnt through the struggle that would set you apart!! Stay Blessed and Beautiful! 🌷 💕
Loved this video, Vanessa. I can also relate to you in quite a lot as I watched. Hang in there, and trust me all will keep falling into place for you. I'm very excited on your new endeavors with your darling as well. Glad you're back!! xoxo
I hope you read this - i have been following your channel for 5 years i suppose? That's a long time! i lost my old account and found you today.. lol You have grown up a lot..i remember your old OOTD videos..used to always be inspired by your style! It's so elegant and fresh. Please don't stop making videos! you're the best!
Vanessa I feel like both me and you had the same year. I was so stressed about finding a job and now that I do, I feel so much better. I was really stressed and worried about where I was going with my life. I know the feeling girl. I wish I knew what you were going through so we could have gone through it together. Glad we both got jobs now. =) Here's to a better rest of the year! *hug*
Yes - it literally feels like a huge weight has been lifted!! I'm so glad all is well with you now!! I felt embarrassed by my situation and was really down on myself, so I kinda just sheltered those parts away... but it would have been nice to have someone to go through the same thing with!! Thanks, Jennifer - same to you!
I can relate a lot to your series life changes. Life is full of surprises & you just never know what might happen! Everything does happen for a reason. I'm going through some big changes- it's not easy at all. Hope everything works out for you, I know it will xoxo
Life has been throwing me some funky stuff too. But one thing I learned is everything do happen for a reason. I'm still trying to work through everything but in the process, I found my now husband and found true happiness. I just needed to remind myself that my plans might not be what is meant for me. I still get my down days but I know it'll be great. Ps. My husband and I did long distance too. Communication is key and be honest with each other. Hope everything works out for you ❤️❤️
One thing I've realized is that life is never perfect. I've spent years idolizing this perfect life - perfect job, perfect relationship, etc - that would equate to ultimate happiness but that's not necessarily true... I'm trying to just appreciate life more now, as imperfect and 'not together' as it may be. Hope everything works out for you too! xoxo
Don't give up! And surround yourself with loving people. I've been through it twice, and even though it doesn't seem like it, things work out in the end. One thing that I wish I had done was take more time for myself (learning something new, baking more, etc) but I was too stressed and down on myself... so if there's one thing I could advise from experience, take care of yourself first
George is Max's mom's doggie :) when Max and I move in together, we've been wanting to get a puppy though ... so maybe a puppy in my videos in the future hehe
