A foreigner can just walk into this country and buy a house. But if an American wants to go to their country to buy, they're told they're not allowed. And we wonder why home prices are so high?
That's a lie. We needs expensive visas and big income to even step foot in America. You don't even need visa rlto travel almost everywhere globally as usa citizens. You can buy land easier aswell
USA is a melting pot, which means its a country for everyone...thats why you have no border control...there is no culture (it's diverse), there is no traditional clothing, no real history to be proud of, no real tradition of any kind (except holidays that ppl are celebrating less and less). So you cant get mad when outsiders come in to buy real estate.
Price gauging, money laundering and blue state transplants bringing the same problems they left. Unsustainable is exactly right but sadly a lot of Miami residents have left, more others keep pouring in with big money but eventually all it will take is a major climate disaster and these people will leave. When you have money you have options, so while everyone has put faith in people relocating here, somebody seeing the area flooding is enough to scare so many off. Yikes, Miami will very likely be the biggest epic bubble to burst when it does.
You started off right, with greed. That's it, plain and simple. It's not the relocating snow birds, because that's always been our bread and butter, it's the real estate flippers, the new corporate real estate buy ups and overseas "investors" with grey market money makes Miami unlivable by padding the pockets of crooked development, and politicians while average workers languish. Rent reform now.
The options for us middle class people who are locals either have to wait out the storm or just leave if we can. If I were making 5 years ago what I am making now I’d have no problem purchasing a single family home. I really feel bad for those who live making the average household income.
One word! Greed! Florida is simply not worth the negatives! Poor housing, over priced everything! Ever increasing crime. Horrible politics, and half a year of fearing every storm that breaks the tip of Africa! Why? Is the climate really worth the stress and headache? Smart people realize the better world and leave!
How? Give some primer examples. I was taking DeSantis the other night, and the person I was speaking with didn’t like desantis at all. When I asked specifically why, he could not answer. He just heard desantis is “orange man bad,” from media and leftists friends. Most people are like this, as they don’t even know why. People like that should not be able to vote.
@@jesse_- I originally like DeSantis but as of right now him holding out on implementing rent caps has me questioning why he does not care about affordable housing. I recently watched a woman tuck her kids in bed on a air mattress in the back of her suburban in a Walmart parking lot. A clean cut mom and her two kids. It was that incident as well as my almost $1k rent increase that has me questioning the gross capitalism.
@@fixairplane3624 rent control is terrible and leads to ghettos. The properties end up not being maintained. We need a property tax multiplier for every additional home owned by one person or company, that way they cant control a whole housing market.
