Great video mate. I went with 2 daytonas under the seat for rear left and right slippage and engine effects plus 2 rumble motors on the throttle and brake for front left and right slippage, all in all I've spent less than 200 quid, around 165 dollars in your money 💰 👍.

Thank you so much! Aren't the Daytons much better at a fraction of the price! I put two back on my pedals also. The accelerator vibrates when rear wheels are slipping, and the one on the brake I use for lock up and anti-lock. Have to turn them way down when racing Nascar ovals...LOL...or they vibrate constantly. Still, they are way better than the expensive Buttkicker IMHO.

Totally agree! Getting these things to communicate as 4 tires isn’t as straight forward as putting them on like wheels. I ended up doing essentially what you did on your seat - I have one on either seat bolster jammed up under the seat cover, and 2 mounted on the back. I’m still playing with mine in SimHub, but what a world of difference. It’s made me look twice at new seats to translate vibration better. My sim rig looks like Frankenstein lol.

Frankenstein rigs are great. You should have seen my last one. Stuff everywhere, but I built it from scratch and was proud of it. All that matters is that you like it! I'll never buy a Buttkicker again. Too expensive, especially for one vibration point. I recently put two small pucks back on my pedals, so now I'm running six of the small pucks. Was racing at Daytona and could tell the right rear was sliding in the corners from the puck on my right rear of my seat. That's pretty cool to know. Can tell you which tires are likely wearing faster and need to be replaced. Alghouth at Daytona you really don't need to change tires, but on other tracks it might speed up pit times if you only replaced one side.

I lost track of our original comments on this but I did finally hook a shaker to my sequential shifter and handbrake. The sequential shifter w/shaker does add a bit, but I think because my hand is pretty quickly on/off the effect is minimized unfortunately. The handbrake is another story all together! Very worthwhile in my case! Huge immersion factor with braking texture. Loads of fun. My SEQ and HB levers are full size so I have loads of pull strength and places to mount. Both have shakers bolted directly to the levers. Pucks in both instances.

I meant to say the effects would be greatly improved if hall sensors instead of microswitches were on both peripherals so the transducer fired before full pull was reached.

I'm using 7 shakers atm. 4 small Daytons inside the seat (GS-5), Buttkicker Concert under the seat and two Buttkicker Mini LFE near the pedals. The closer to the butt, the better and I could turn off the BK Concert without missing much, but it's there, so I'm using it. The small pucks were one of the best bang for the buck I made and got them for less than 100 Euro. Today I would also fix the shakers directly to the pedals and go with smaller ones instead, but at least I was paying just 120 Euro each at that time and seems identical with the Gamer, just doesn't come with a clamp. Since than the Buttkicker-prices increased a lot and they are also quite thirsty regarding power-consumption. When I've replaced two shakers against the GS-5 my total power-consumption dropped while playing even I like it intense.

How do you have the Mini LFEs connected near the pedals? Can you tell which one is shaking? Like I said in the video, I had 4 of the large Daytons attached directly to the four corners of my GT Omega frame, and I could not tell where the vibration was coming from no matter which one shook. In other words, if I activated the front left shaker it felt the same as when the rear right shaker was activated. I even pulled out the multimeter and tested each one individually to make sure they were working. I do like having them on me pedal too. I may eventually add them back on my pedals. Just need to order the parts.

@@attorneyssimgarage1482 They are directly connected to the profiles and I don't really get the stereo-effect either, but with GS-5 that's not important to me. I just want to feel wheel-lockup while braking, so basic pedal-FFB and that's working fine.

Are those just attached with double sided tape?
@attorneyssimgarage1482
@attorneyssimgarage1482 Год назад
Yes, it's Alien Tape, so it's a little thicker and has a little give, but normal 3M type mounting tape (not the foam stuff) would also work just fine. The shakers are not very heavy. I've had them on for several months and no problems. I put some hot glue on the ones on the rear seat because I crank those up and they will chatter on the plastic seat when cranked up.
