My partner already preordered his S1, and we can't wait to see it on our layout. Really excited to see how you got it to take 18" curves! I recently got a second hand Clinchfield challenger, and a T1. Been a proud supporter since the J1e came out, way back when i was still a kid. Keep making awesome trains!

@BLI I know you’re doing the Stealth A/B unit F7 GN Big Sky blue locomotive in N-Scale through lowel smith trains so please make sure that you make a lot of those because I wasn’t able to put in for a pre-order due to personal reasons and really want this particular one! 😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻 It’s one of my top 5 favorite paint schemes and I’m trying my best to create this wonderful train set in N-Scale

Regarding the N-scale Santa Fe 3751 class 4-8-4, on your website the historical description says that engine 3768, which is in Wichita, Kansas, is a member of this class. That is incorrect. The 3768 is a member of the second class of Santa Fe 4-8-4 locomotives, the 3765 class. The 3751 class had engines 3751 to 3764, while the 3765 class had engines 3765 to 3775.
@whispofwords2590
@whispofwords2590 Месяц назад
did you really expect them to make a different model for what amounts to a subclass? They essentially are the same class of engines, especially the 3751s in their later form.
@stuartaaron613
@stuartaaron613 Месяц назад
@@whispofwords2590 No, the 3765 class is a completely different design from the earlier 3751 class. The 3751 class was originally built with 73-inch drivers, boiler pressure set at 210 psi, and dual round sand domes. Later they were rebuilt with new, longer frames allowing for 80-inch drivers, and boiler was lengthened to match. Some kept the original dual sand domes, while others received the larger single sand dome like 3751. The 3765 class were built new with 80-inch drivers, single large sand domes of a different design from the rebuilt 3751's, and the boiler pressure set to 300 psi. So, the 3765 is definitely not a subclass of the 3751 class.
@whispofwords2590
@whispofwords2590 Месяц назад
@@stuartaaron613 bro stop trying to be a know it all. Youre making yourself look dumb ass hell. 1. The 3765s were basically built to the same specifications the 3751s were eventually rebuilt to. The fact that one could be rebuilt into the other alone should make it obvious ones a subclass of the other..also wheel size and the placement of a sand dome are enough to make it an entirely different class? Since when? And given that all the 3751 class being offered are in their most modern configuration that detail doesn't matter to begin with. All 3751s were rebuilt with the larger drivers, revised frame, converted to oil, and equipped with roller bearings over a decade before they were withdrawn. So yes, one very much is a subclass and derived from the other. You cant rebuild an R1, R67, a Dixie or a Greenbrier into a 3751 without massive reconfiguration because they are obviously different classes despite being of the same wheel arrangement. I mean by your logic the 3751s arent even 3751s. They should have been designated post rebuilt apparently.

Sure wish you had done 2926 484 instead of the 3751. 2926 was bigger and more modern than 3751, but maybe you will do 2926 next?
