Only problem I have with the 2.0 update is that at least with the PlayStation versions, it breaks the leviathans making them hover over the cyclops and push it into the ground with out damaging it, like they are in love or something
Since you mentioned new creators in the Subnautica community, I thought I would shout out ButchX3's playthough. It's one of, if not the best playthrough of the game that I've seen, and my personal favorite!! Great video, thank you for the continued awesome content Bacon!
ButchX3 is just a pretending actor hungry for views. I hate him for that. The only thing that he did right was his his montage/movie thingy. amazing video editing skills.
I just hope that when return of the ancients is released we also get the last update before the living large update, even though it wouldn’t be complete, at least i would be able to play it with my mod setup.
I really hope that they go for the old formula of a large and deep map. I would really love to see a take of escaping the depths of the ocean like in farsky, the void would be an interesting place to add glowing biomes, abyssal creatures, new bases and deep sea vehicles. The terror of having to go to the surface while risking being eaten with the wrong submarines would really make an interesting game.
I'd love more, in general. I played the first Subnautica because it seemed so magical. The magic faded quite a bit once I realized how small the world actually is. There's only so many things you can do or explore or read about until you know just about everything about the game.
The playable Area is about 10% of the entire Map Size 😅. Pretty sure they just focused on that Area since it already took them like 6 Years alone to fully develop that. Now imagine they would have made a bigger map. They would have to either cut corners (much less diversity in the areas) or spend much more Time developing the Game.
Crazy that I came back to subnautica once again this year making one of my biggest playthroughs so far and the community is still thriving and making new content. Happy holidays and here is to more subnautica!🎉
I hope the last stuff that's missing from Subnautica Below Zero will be added to Subnautica (Base parts and stuff) and maybe a few items that got cut in development. Also Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year to everyone.
Mark my words. Early access- 2025 Feb. Multiplayer- 2025 Oct. LOTS of bug fixes- 2026 Jul. Game comes out- 2026 Dec. (I'm probably wrong but I don't care)
I hope the next subnautica is like the original. I loved below zero and the added dialog was implemented really well but og subnautica there was something so scary about it that below zero didn't have, but it'd still an amazing game
merry christmas bacon. i missed watching your videos and remembering that you were one of the first youtubers that i saw responding and hearting all the comments hahaha
I hope it will be tons scarier, and maybe use more of the sound based system used in the cyclops Maybe the boostertank makes a lot of noise but goes almost as fast as in beta bz?
I am honestly terrified of subnautica, but once i got the prawn suit it really tokm away some fear i had. I am hoping that the new subnautica will be much scarier and creepier
I am currently going through my first playthrough of Subnautica. I got it on the Nintendo switch. I’ve heard about it here and there and I realize It’s several years old but honestly it has been so much fun playing it. I am about to head over to the aurora and I have several inventory mods on my seamoth, I have the stasis rifle and the propulsion canon and made a base with a ton of wall lockers and large lockers. I have yet to encounter a leviathan. Honestly I’ve been answering the radio and trying to explore the wreckage sites. I made it to a couple land areas where I found Bulbi plants which I brought back to my base to plant which pretty much takes care of the food/water portion when I’m back in the shallows. I have a few wall lockers full of water and cured peepers. I have a bad habit of wanting to gather everything I see 🤔 wish me luck with the aurora
I think Subnautica 3 will be a great addition to the world of gaming, assuming it's done right & properly! Merry Christmas 🎄⛄❄️ everyone!! Also, got to say, the modding is amazing in this game! It's such a pleasure to see so much love for the game!
Well whenever the full game comes out I can't wait. Also can't wait to play Little Nightmares 3, it's supposed to come out sometime next year too. Hope you have a wonderful holiday Bacon...and everyone else. :D
Video/ shorts ideas for the last bacon. You can place objects in your base in vanilla. You do this by dropping an item in the water than holding it using propulsion cannon and pointing it above you towards the bottom side of the moonpool than jump through the moonpool while holding the item at this angle and continue to hold it once you get inside the base (at this time you can angle it however you want)than you can release in your base although in terms of using it with shelves I think it only works with single wall shelfs. You can use these items to stack appliances on top of each-other you do this by releasing an item on an appliance and than placing an appliance on top of the item which yes it will let you do, you can place appliances on items. Note that the items textures may be especially glitchy at night time. And somewhat during the day as well. By glitchy I mean that at night some items will become completely black. Even though we now that it is not supposed to be black. To reposition items you can shove them against walls using the propulsion cannon. Also note that if you are holding an item using the propulsion cannon and it happens to come in contact with another item that is placed down using the technique the placed down object will be moved by the the item being currently held by the propulsion cannon. video/short idea. Aci has recently released a beta of call of the void that includes the silence leviathan and void floating islands along with a surprise if you make it past the silence leviathan. To find this section of the void, look for a beacon with the usual distress signal icon that says unidentified signal. Keep up the great work.
Just so to say, If a company buys a smaller company like they did here the games the smaller one makes are only oriented money and always turn out shit, say goodbye to good quality subnautica.
@@TheLastBacon i know but in the end they always end up worse and worse. Subnautica 3 may not be affected but i bet if it does good they aim for a 4th one that may end up worse
Dunno if this is sarcastic or not but i dont deny the start it got good update but now they doing this 3 mobs vote trash even tho they could add all three just add 1, and then its always a shit one.@@flap.d.jack247
I love that you’re still making subnautica videos after all this time! I started watching you from your subnautica lore videos, so I’m happy you’re still making videos on this wonderful game series 👍
I just had an idea for a new Subnautica and I have to get it down before I forget it. Intro cutscene gigantic Altera ship warps in above 4645B relatively smaller ships launch and head down to the surface, we get radio chatter from the various crews about a big payday for this job. Show the ships breaking through some clouds with the camera above and behind them. The first thing you see after they are below the clouds is the gun platform then the Aurora. The ships come to a stop hovering around the gun platform, then a massive swarm of building drones deploy from the ships, fabricating many Cyclops sea trucks and even a few Atlas subs that the Cyclops can dock inside of. Camera falls with the subs into the water with all splashing and bubbles being a scene transition to us seeing Prawns all over catching the wildlife, we hear chatter about the more they catch the bigger the payday. The camera flows around a ridge and we see a new sub-type with large arms grabbing a Bone shark and tossing it into a containment chamber. The area darkens and the camera tilts up showing a Reefback surrounded by these new subs placing some tech on the gentle giant once done they back off and the tech lights up and the Reefback is pulled from the water up into one of the larger ships. As we see this a new group deploys from the ship, the camera closes in on the new group with the new sub-type being the focus as we hear, "All right rookie time to work." The sub crashes into the water with the splash hitting the camera acting as another transition, but this time it's straight into gameplay as we are inside the new sub as the pilot. From here we get a tutorial about the new sub, the arm can be swapped on the fly for drill, grabber, net-launcher, torpedo's, etc. This first part of the game is a full on Metroid style intro, start with some really nice stuff but loose it later. We get tasks of stuff to catch and collect all the while we hear the constant chatter of who caught what, what they plan to do when the jobs done. We see many other subs and Prawns, this lasts for about 30m before we are told to break for lunch after we help secure a Reefback. We get up from the pilots chair and our hub comes up and we see our food and H2O is at half showing we can go a full real-time hour before we need to worry about those after we top off. We get to explore the sub seeing everything caught up close in the containment area on our way to the galley we also see we have portholes in this sub. We grab some grub and continue exploring finding our comfy cabin with a large glass window, we sit at a table next to it and have our lunch watching other subs capturing and gathering, then you hear it... the roar of a Reaper leviathan, an alarm blares as your ordered to assist the others. As you run back to the bridge you hear how the Reaper has already torn through a Cyclops and a few Prawn, you reach the bridge jump into the pilots seat and make your way over to the others. The Reapers howls getting louder as you draw near, but your not alone as other containment subs join you coming over a ridge you now see the Reaper tearing through another Cyclops. Someone yells out to use stasis torpedo's, so you and the others unload on the Reaper stopping it dead in it's tracks. The other containment subs rush in and you see them swapping arms to one with a giant needle and ramming it into the side of the Leviathan, soon its roars cease and it goes limp the others yell at you to get over here and start placing gravity anchors like you did with the Reefback. After watching the Reaper be pulled out of the ocean you hear, "Good work rookie that Reaper is worth a whole lotta creds." Cutscene triggers as the camera moves through the window following the Reaper up to the ship then pulls back showing other Reapers being pulled into the other ships. Day turns to night then back to day 2 weeks later showing on screen. You hear chatter of people celebrating as all of them are brought back to the ships and you see all the subs and Prawns being deconstructed, the ships rise to rejoin the mother ship. You hear someone declaring a job well done and the job will be done once they deliver the goods. You see the massive ship make its jump then the camera turns back to the planet, however its not 4645B its a different water world (Insert name here) and you see the massive Altera ship drop out into normal space above with 6 months later being shown. The smaller ships deploy and start heading for the planet only for another massive ship to drop into normal space with you. This is not an Altera ship as it launches ships of its own and opens fire. Battle ensues and many of the ships that where on their way to the planet's surface are shot down yours included. We get a similar scene to the opening of the first game as we run to the escape shuttle with 12 others. The camera follow the shuttle down a debris fall all around then tilts up showing the laser fire of the battle and another ship falling past covered in fire with the camera tilting back down to follow it seeing it nearly crash into our shuttle shooting off into the distance. The shuttle crashes into the sea water splashing the camera and we transition back to gameplay. We look around to see several are dead and others are moving around panicking one seems to be more of a command type and gets everyone to calm down and starts laying out a plan of action. The shuttle isn't floating it sunk to the sea floor about 350-400m deep. The plan is to find resources to fix the shuttle enough to move to shallower waters. At this point over the next half hour or so I would have everyone but you picked off by wildlife and other mishaps. I would have the final few taken out by something you never see, only hearing the terrified screams of those that are taken. With the last person with you taken while you are diving together trying to find the last resource you need. You find it and when you turn back around their gone only their flash-light on the floor of the cave your in remains, they didn't even get to make a sound when it happened. You rush back to the shuttle and get it repaired enough to get the VI to move to the shallows as you flee the depths you hear a roar you have never heard before, the shuttle rocks as its struck. The VI on board asks if you want to use emergency thrusters, yes or no popping up on the hud like the Cyclops. After hitting yes the emergency thrusters fire and you hear a pained roar as the shuttle is moving at a very rapid pace everything is a blur outside, and fire and smoke inside isn't helping matters. The VI warns the thrusters are overloading moments before they explode and rock the shuttle and you see the surface just 100m away but systems fail and you crash into a cliff face. With the shuttle dead in the water you get out of the shuttle seeing a little bit of land sticking out of the ocean above you as you breach the surface and look into the sky you see other ships crashing into the sea in the far distance. So concludes just the intro to the new game what do you guys think?
i like how you take the time to reply to every comment! but i think i'll be there for the streams i can! and i'm really happy to see that you've come really far!
In the three years ive known bacons channel what i love the most about it is the fact he not only keeps doing new things based around subnautica its the fact he comments quite a bit to his subscribers its just it makes you feel loved in his community and your heard.
if any of yall want a mobile game that kinda gives off the vibe of subnautica try "Sea Shine". It really gives me the vibe of the void from subnautica, especially in the open areas. A tip if you do get it, don't stay in the same spot for long if theres no wall behind you
im surprised that even after all these years you still post videos and still post about subnautica. I haven’t been an all time watcher but i have seen some of your older videos when i was interested in subnautica recently, this interest has resurfaced and i was genuinely surprised to see you still around. Keep going strong man, where here for ya
The fact that you reply to every single comment on all of your videos is extremely impressive. I’ve never seen a RU-vidr as interactive with his fanbase as you. Keep up the great content man. Been a fan for years, and will continue to be a fan for more years to come. Huge respect 🫡
Hi bacon I just got my computer for Christmas? I can’t wait to mod subnutica finally be able to do all the fun stuff you do with🎉🎉🎉(please say congratulations or something on my computer I don’t know)
my theory: they mentioned its a survival genre in the subnautica *universe*. The tweet from the dev mentioned words like "infectious" and "space", maybe hinting at what I think could be a space survival game, with the kharaa bacterium playing a key role in the "infectious" word choice. Almost like a Sean Murray style of teasing what's next but still being vague and mysterious. It could be anything else too, but hey, a boy can dream.
Well, Their other game Natural Selection 2 is in the same universe and has you fighting aliens with the same name "Kharaa" which they've confirmed is related to Subnautica. So, you could easily make a survival game fighting those if you wanted to. lol.
I love how patient the subnautica community is, theres so many other games where their community is very vocal about how long its taking. Even though its been awhile since a new subnautica game no one complains about how long the next game takes, instead just enjoy the existing games. Cant wait for what they share in 2024
Notice how they used space-themed words and a rocket at the end of the announcement. This means we will probably get more of a space-exploration and space survival game. Could also mean that we will follow Al-An and Robin on their adventure to find the Architects. And/or cure planets from Kharaa. They do have the cure now.
@@TheLastBacon also idk if you'll see this but thx so much for making vids! You were the first subnautica vid I watched and I'm now downloading mods and I have completed both subnautica games
I have two questions: 1. Why can't you in Subnautica go deactivate the gun when you go as fast as you can on island not taking a one dive, just swimming on water? 2. To the Last Bacon: how do you answer every comment so fast? I wish everyone and my favourite subnautica youtuber a happy New Year🎉🎉🎉
I randomly had a thought. When you first encounter a leviathan, your PDA immediately identifies it as such. That means that this sort of thing is so common in the universe that there's an umbrella term for it in place.
Ive been watching your videos for a pretty long time probably a little longer than 3 years or so, and its really awsome, your content has stayed mostly the same, and that you still respond to all the comments on your videos, your awsome dude keep up the great content ❤
I hope in Subnautica 2 (I don't consider below zero as second part, only an stand alone dlc) they add Gargantuan Leviathan and some cut biomes from original game. Especially single cell landscape.
Interpreted that tweet a little differently. Their choice of the words "surface" and "space" stood out to me, as well as the bit about it being "in the Subnautica universe" and not mentioning a return to 4546B. Could be hinting at a space survival game, similar to what we got with Breathedge.
So, here's a theory on Subnautica 3, it's a prequel of Subnautica 1. Since S2 was a Sequel, I think maybe Subnautica 3 could have weapons and be removed mid-way through because of obraxis prime happening. with a radio distress signal talking in detail of what happened.
I've been continued to check your videos about subnautica after i finished my subnautica for first time, its like more than 5 months since I saw your videos and I just realised that today I have chance to subscribe to follow your next upcoming videos 😅😊
Little late to the video, but just wantes to say ive been watching your channel for about 4 years now and really enjoy your videos. Was wondering if you could make more subnautica creepy pasta videos as i really enjoy watching them. Thats all i wanted to ask. Happy new year 🎉😊
It's extremely likely that Ben Prunty, the composer for Subnautica Below Zero, will be returning for the next game!!! My source? well I replied to the Subnautica tweet on the new game, praying that he'd return, and then both him and Obraxis liked my reply. 😅
Multiplayer would be great, that maybe is a world option you have to pick at the start. So that way people can have their standalone worlds and play the game alone but easy access for people that do want to play together. Right now it's just the Nitrox mod and that hasn't been updated in awhile as far can I see there hasn't any news?
You know what I want from Subnautica 3? I want an above-ground volcanic region. Gimme a volcano island. We've had tropical island, polar island, and floating (tropical) island - why not something in the opposite direction? Subnautica 2 expanded on the usage of temperature (ie, not freezing to death) but what about heat causing damage to your vehicles or equipment, necessitating upgrades to deal with the heat (like depth upgrades)? I want to see a lava monster leviathan, god damnit!
