I always knew that disney is the god of animations, specifically for the lip sync. But I never knew that they was the ones that discovered smoother lip sync. Well, I think is the obvious that they are the oldest company.
@PixiGags
@PixiGags 8 месяцев назад
Yes ZipZap, the reason is also because theyr movies were dubbed in so many languages, and a simpler Lip Synch gave a better chance for a smoother fit!

"they was the ones"? i'm pretty sure you mean "they _were_ the ones" 🤓
@ZipZap9

@bruhmoment5974 yeah bro as you can see my english is not good because this is one of the 3 languages i talk, the other two ones being french and romanian, i know them two better than english. English is harder than you think, having one of the most spelling rules (some of that rules are broken in the most of the times in spelling, what makes it really hard to spell and write). French has spelling rules that are never broken, and i mean never, which makes it easy to learn. Romanian, in other way, has no spelling rules (unless to the letter groups che, chi, ghe, ghi, ci, ce, and the letter ,,î" what you spell them different), which means that everything you spell sounds exactly how it is written.

I teached myself to do lipsync, and I have always taken my reference from my own mouth

Same!I just say the words I want to lip sync,then imagine the shape of the mouth,then just draw it in my character!Very great way to lip sync

Is this why theres singing in every disney movie 😆
@PixiGags
@PixiGags 8 месяцев назад
Hello Cherry, the singing in Disney movies is about the engaging experience as well and also because music speaks directly to our hearts and mind! :D

@SpacialRend7 8 месяцев назад
In my experience, I’ve been taught to do lip sync animations using a phonemes chart to create the shapes of the character’s mouths to the words they are speaking. It’s a very resourceful approach to doing lip sync animation and/or animatics.
@PixiGags
@PixiGags 8 месяцев назад
Hello SpacialRend, that is definitely useful! :D One of the reasons Disney animators used phrasing simplification is because their movies were dubbed in so many languages, a too detailed lip sync didn't fit them all!

@tytocytotoxin

Interesting method, i thought they lip synced to how a word sounds and not how a word is pronounced, so that the audiences' mind fills in the gaps
@PixiGags
@PixiGags 7 месяцев назад
Hello Tyto! That's correct, the animators phrased by enhancing the most interesting mouth shapes, also they used the character's body to hit the main accents. This way the movie looks and sounds believable also when dubbed in other languages.
