The Philippines location in SEA made it more susceptible in economic growth. With alot of resources and professionals/trained labor force, the Philippines will keep on growing economically. In addition to that, Filipinos are literate and open enough to be open to foreign investments, digital investments and the such.

Even in manufacturing the foreign investors are heavily invested in the Philippines in electronics & electrical products that is why the Philippines today is one of the Top semiconductor chip producers in the world.

The company is currently establishing a local Filipino entity that will be their wholly-owned subsidiary and is targeting to deploy three gateways in the first phase of their launch. $90B of foreign direct investments (FDI) from '96 - '21 is actually very very small because it averages out to only $3.6B per year. When you compare this amount to our ASEAN neighbors, we rank at or near the bottom. The way to significantly increase the FDI is to reduce the corporate tax and make it competitive with our neighbors, offer incentives and of course the foreign ownership which was amended to 100% in some sectors. This needs to be applied in other sectors as well where competition is lacking especially the telecom sector. We need to focus on increasing our manufacturing sector that's solely for export. With more Western companies exiting China, we should try to lure them to move their manufacturing plants to the Philippines. As of this year, our GDP is $450B. We really have the potential to reach the $1 trillion mark and greatly improve the lives of the majority of the Filipino people. Infrastructure needs to constantly be improved and built. The energy sector is badly needed because we can't grow if the demand continuously exceeds the supply. Education needs to be revamped. We need more students to study science, engineering and business. Also, the population needs to be better managed. Our country is similar to Italy in size and yet our population (110 milion) is nearly twice as Italy's (59 million). We can't support an out-of-control population growth. As well, we can greatly reduce poverty rate if the people living in poverty are given access to birth control. They must be educated about family planning. In my humble opinion, families living in poverty should only have 1 child. They need to improve their financial standing, get out of poverty, before considering having their 2nd child. Obviously there are other things that needs attention to help drive the growth but the most important thing to tackle is the nagging corruption which continues to plague our country. According to CPI (Corruption Perceptions Index 2022), our country ranks 117 out of 180 countries. When compared to some of our Asian counterparts, we have Singapore (4), Japan (18), Taiwan (25), S. Korea (32), Brunei (35), Malaysia (62), East Timor (82), India (85), Vietnam (87), Indonesia (96), and Thailand (110), Laos (128), Myanmar (140), and Cambodia (157). So we rank near the bottom. This is terrible!! Corrupt families/officials/politicians continue to enrich themselves while 20% -25% of the people continue to live in poverty. This is outrageous!!
