What things are expensive in Costa Rica? Residents list the main items that they find to be excessively costly. Some items that topped the list included groceries, cars, electronics, import taxes. We were surprised to see 3 of the respondents mention that peanut butter is crazy expensive in Costa Rica.
If you are moving to Costa Rica you will find plenty of great values and prices that will amaze you, but at the same time you are bound to be more than a bit shocked when you see your grocery bill.
