Pizza Dough is as follows: 500g Bread flour 16g kosher salt 1g active dry yeast 350 ml water 2 Tbsp sugar Combine ingredients completely, and let it sit out on your counter overnight. The next day, divide up into portion, kneed into ball shapes, cover and refrigerate for 2-4 days (ferment). The day you want to make your pizza pull the dough out about 4 hours prior and leave it on your counter. It will rise up again a bit and loosen.
Becky over on Acre Homestead just did a pantry challenge what we ate in a week and she also took all her pantry potatoes and made a years worth or gnocchi.
Yes, we still like the 'what we eat in a week' videos! This was great and I appreciate that you took the time to put it together. It is always fun to get ideas for different meals.
Love your videos, they give me ideas for dinners! And I also watch simple living Alaska both of your channels are similar. Both of your channels are at the top of my watch list 💗
I’m so glad you guys decided to continue your “what’s for dinner” series! I am really enjoying your channel! I also love Eric and Ariel’s Simple Alaska Living channel; as a lifelong Alaskan, they represent us well! 🌺 Jen
I totally agree about the snow! I grew up in western NY in the snow belt. Lake effect snow was the norm. Today I live in Maryland. It’s very cold but NO SNOW! I miss the way the white shines through the windows, making the house so bright and cheerful!
My dog (German Shepherd) passed a few months ago, but she LOVED snow. (We live in northern Ohio) The firat snow every year, she would be out there running around like a mad woman and throwing snow up and on top of her with her nose. It was the funniest thing ever.
great video. I usually watch, but don't comment. today I wanted to comment to let you know I really enjoyed the cinematography / editing. You did a great job.
It’s always fantastic to see how others incorporate their canning items with daily meals. These episodes are quickly becoming our favorites to watch for meal ideas. Thank you both for sharing a small peak into meal time planning. God bless always
I live in Eastern NC. If we get snow over an inch it CRIPPLES us. The stores empty of all the bread, milk, and beer and no one can drive for 2+ days... our ground never freezes so the snow melts and over night we get ice. So much fun. But I do love the snow....
You two are right at the top of my list along with Eric and Arielle. All these middle eastern dishes have inspired me to make my own…..saves me a 3 hour trip down to Dearborn for a shawarma wrap 😂 Keep pumping out these videos! They’re great!
I 100 percent agree with you. I live in a very cold place -20+ not unusual for 7-15 days during the winter, but we normally get a lot of snow in the fall and early winter, then again in late winter and spring. We have not been getting the snow, and the cold is just hurtful without it.
Something I really appreciate with your meals (well, lots of things lol) but it's nice because you're cooking for two and it's the same for me - I don't need to have meals to feed such a large family 😊 Thanks again for the good ideas!
Todd is so handy in the kitchen. Wow, everything looks delicious. I want to come live with you! 😆 Thanks for sharing your meal ideas with us. I didn't realize Rachel was working. Y'all are a busy family on your homestead. I love this channel. I just don't get around to everyone I like to watch. Have a great week and rest of the winter. Willette from Alabama
Last week, here in Southwest Oklahoma, the schools closed Wednesday through Friday due to 1” of ice with 4.5” of snow on top. We aren’t used to driving in snow and ice. Today through Friday it’s 70°. My chickens are confused and my trees are confused. I’m so ready for spring and garden time.
I live more northern Michigan, up past elk rapids, so I am not agreeing about the snow. No more please. Agree love watching Arielle and Eric. I have to say I love your videos, thank you for bringing them to us.
I am glad that you are going to continue the what's for dinner videos. That is always our question and figuring it out get's to be a chore sometimes. So your videos give me new ideas. Thank you.
I just binge your videos and I am hooked !! You 2 are so charming and enjoyable to watch !! Please keep the dinners a week coming !! Only thing is .. TTUN .. Go Bucks !!
Love these videos, I can honestly say of all the pantry challenge videos I’m watching you food looks the best and doesn’t seem as though your on a challenge at all. Such an inspiration! 🥰
We havent had a decent snow storm in Utah for years. We used to get storms that would dump 22 inches at a time all winter long. Now we are lucky to get 1 or 2 inches
Hi Rachel and Todd. The dishes you and Todd made were awesome. You are the two most wonderful people. God Bless the two of you. Take care. Maria. 👍👍👍👍😇😇😇❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍😇😇😇
Love it all but especially the green beans and bacon, my grandmother used to make them that way and I loved them... brings back fond memories! Also, living in Alberta, you do not want the snow LOL I was born and raised in California and moved here... we now have 9 months of winter & snow and 3 months of bad skating!! I could deal with the winter more if there wasn't so much snow!
Oh my gosh, I’d do anything to try that pizza and hummus! Everything you guys make looks so delicious but I love the simplicity of the dishes! Thanks for sharing with us 😃
Thank you for sharing your pantry challenge with us. You are pulling out some interesting meals! I appreciate your time and effort. Have a wonderful day.
First time commenting long time subscriber though. Love simply living Alaska I have been watching them since the beginning 🤩They are the best and her gardening is beyond ❤
The Pantry Challenges are interesting....several folks are doing it. Your dinner looks great....I do like Indian foods and I love curry. Happy Valentine's day ❣
I'm such a southern girl at heart, and I serve my husband first. He would think I had lost it, if I didn't serve him first, then of coarse prayed for the meal. Tod that Philly was outrageous! My mouth was watering! Pizza looked great also.
I truly enjoy theses videos, they give me ideas to fix meals, we get so tired of the same meals. Very appreciative for your time in making these awesome meals. Blessings to you both !!! ✝️💟
Oh mt goodness i just found you guys last week because i was hunting canning videos im Going to try to teach myself this summer. I have binged you two for the last week. You guys are so sweet i enjoy everything. And your garden videos are so inspiring. Thank you i have learned so much.
Landon lasted 2 days here in Vermont and we got 16" of snow ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️ thank you for the what's for dinner ideas again. We love watching Simple Living Alaska too
There are only the two of us, but I am the only "cook". My spouse never learned to cook. (Single mother/one child) that when I married in late in life had them mostly eating out. Now my spouse is also disabled. (6 of 12 cranial nerves damaged.) I cook 3 times a week (M-W-F), eat leftovers the following night, and eat out on Sundays after church.
Everything looks so yummy! I'm so pleased that you are filming the What's for dinner. You both behind the scenes are so beautiful to watch! Thanks again for sharing.
I just love your guys what's for dinner..I can alot and it really helps giving me inspiration on what to make with it all!! Can't wait for the new season of it to start up!!
My daughter and I have been on a bit of a Korean kick this past year and have been building our spice tolerance! We now have to put goechang or sriracha on lots of things now :) Nothing like a good kick to keep you warm! We have a beautiful day on the East Coast today, almost made me want to brave the slipperiness of the yard to hang out clothes lolol
lol you guys are so fun!!! You have insired me to venture out of my families pallet comfort zone lol. So far they have loved it all but I cant tell them what they are eating before they try it or they wont try it. lol
Eric and Ariel (the Alaska kids - it’s how I refer to them to my husband) are one of my favorites as well! Oh and that sweet potato gnocchi looks so good! Can’t wait to try it!
We both work from home and also have some long stressful days and cook the same way yawl do. We are working through our pantry as much as possible and trying to make some room for the spring garden to start here in Central Texas very soon. Weather is warming up into the 70's and by March we will be in the 80's. Really like the sweet potato gnocchi! We love making home made pizza! God Bless
