When I have a sad day or I’m not feeling well, physically, I find myself wanting to watch one of your videos. They transport me back to childhood, when life was simpler and family meant the entire world to people. I’ve had the flu this week and last, so I’ve been hanging around enjoying the videos. Loved sitting outside with you while you sorted your greens and turnips. Thank you for sharing parts of your life with us. So enjoyable and comforting.

my grandmother, God rest. told me that turnips were only ready to harvest after the first frost. I have eaten turnips and turnip greens but never seen them cooked together like that. My Mother never cooked them, so I didn't grow up eating them very much. However my Grand Mother, Gladys was her name. Fed them to me as a child and she boiled them in a pot with sliced potatoes. Served them with butter, salt and pepper. But i was taught to peal them twice to remove the outer rind. next time I will try them with the greens and fatback. God Bless Love you Guys !

That looked so good we put cornmeal dumplings in our turnip greens, I love seeing the different ways people cook and trying new dishes from things I've seen, thanks for sharing.

I always thought turnip green were bitter. But I was taught to put butter and vinegar on them I still do that. I enjoy most greens that way. I must mention; one of my pet peeves are cooks that are so wasteful. I really appreciate the way you scrape out your bowls when you’re baking. There’s a lot of wasting by chefs and on some cooking shows.

I love that she called pintos “soup beans.” My momma from KY always called those beans soup beans too. I don’t often hear that living in FL for almost 70 years.

That's a nice meal! This weekend our weather is finally turning cold. Definitely the season for this kind of food.

One of my favorite meals. Reminds me of home and family. My grandmother made turnip green soup that was so delicious. It had turnip greens, rice and ham leftover from another meal. She cooked the ham bone in it and it was always a wonderful meal. I just love watching your videos because they bring back wonderful memories for me.

I love your videos! My favorite part of this one is the frantic fast forward of the clean up. It reminds me of my house on a busy weeknight.

Ms. Tipper, your dinner looks absolutely wonderful! It now appears I must go and purchase some turnip greens and turnip roots at the grocery store to replicate your meal. Guess what's on my menu for tomorrow night's dinner? lol 😁 😉

I just adore turnips and greens and it's been so long since I've had any. That is yet another beautiful and delicious supper Tipper! I know your family appreciates having such good home cooked meals, straight from the garden. So good to enjoy the Lord's bounty and I sure enjoy watching you prepare it. You're a Proverbs 31 woman Tipper! ❤
