I think it's his emphasis ON the wrong syllables IN the sentences that he speaks and also THE way in which his sentences tend to be run-on and also sentences that aren't questions tend to be phrased as questions anyway?
Why is this my favorite LRR sketch? I can't place why. Is it a trick of the light or the fabled sketch of myth? I may have died laughing, but since I'm still typing, maybe not. You decide! And be sure to dress warm.
This is probably my favorite sketch from LRR. Its just overall great. Graham's character is just gold and I honestly feel Beej's bit at the end is probably some of his best work (that expression and shake toward the end is fucking priceless). Heavily underrated.
Wow, Graham showing how he's a freaking BOSS!!! Seriously, I had to do that once for a play, it was the hardest damn thing I ever did. Also, that stinger! I swear, you guys have become my fave comedy troupe ever!
As someone who actually works in local news that first joke super/lower third with the default/placeholder text... hits waaaaay too close to home. It is depressing how often those end up on the air (even in big markets).
I totally love the delivery for this spokescharacter. I noticed that some of his phrasings are very Johnny-like, but he definitely has his own unique speech patterns. Made me and my husband laugh out loud this morning.
+Leap Of Faith Maybe you should just start influxing. On the wrong place? Do you need help, cause that sounds like it hurt. Come on down to Dave's Speak Good Hall and Chicken Emporium where we put the "Fun" in "Fundamental Pulmonary Osmosis". You know what we say here: "Try it or".
I feel this lends itself to a feed dump ending: "Until next...time, remember- there may be better sources? ... for news, but they don't have this...hat, from Dave's hats and cats, your three-stop shop for...fuzzy things. To putonyour head. Or, if claws aren't your thing, some...one else's. Like Paul's."
Exactly, *almost* Christmas... do you suppose that the frequency of updates will increase the closer we get to Christmas, before some kind of... Xmas LRR sketch singularity!? D:
This is normal. The video yesterday however was part of "Cards Against Humanity" promotion (they do do video commission things). They do a LRR sketch every Monday.
Let me guess. This is the local tv in Jewlsberg. The complete embarrassment to journalism is why the Nsberg radio station hates the entire town so much.
Is anybody else's brain having mild conniptions trying to reconcile the way he's speaking with what he's saying? Regardless, that was great, especially the bit after the credits.
