Hi Andrew it’s great to see you back and as always you say it as you see it. It is great to go back to basics, as an elderly golfer most you tube pros expect me to do what I’m not capable of, but you explain that the basics will nearly always improve your performance. Thanks a lot and good to see you are busy. Nick
Andrew, I have no issue with you not posting regularly, and would prefer that you only post, like this one, when you have something to say that is relevant. Far too many channels are posting for the sake of it. As a PGA member for 51 years and still doing a bit of coaching I’ve also found that the longer I coach, the more simple my message is getting. Good basics like grip/stance/posture and nothing more than lower body rotation and weight shift improves more people than all the technical stuff, and keeping the message simple.
Hi Andrew, good video. I have a ping g425 driver which is great. Is there any benefit in looking at the g430? I’m a 15 handicapper. Also, my irons are yonex. They are so underrated. Great clubs!
Hi Paul, I would go to a Ping fitting facility and do a comparison. I see a gain in the mishits on the G430 and also a better sound. Agree that Yonex are underrated! Best regards Andrew
We've also had a dreadful wet season here in Far North Queensland. The wet season started early (November) and has persisted into July. Dreadful! Agree with you wholeheartedly about the 10k, it just didn't work for me. I got fitted for the 730 irons and they were excellent for my old body. Then looked at "woods". I'm into the Max sft but pondering the fairway wood setup. Driver, 3, 5 and 7? Or Driver and 5w with a 3w shaft before getting into the 5 iron of the 730 set? After all that would be a 19 deg - 21.5 deg gap! Decisions, decisions. The Ping fitter suggested Driver, 3w, 5w before heading into the 5i.
Hi Ken, thanks for the update. The G430 7 wood has been working well for many of my customers. Seeing less golfers carrying a 3 wood. Best regards Andrew
Nice to hear from you again. Thanks for the info. I really like Mizuno, but I do have to agree getting my new wedges was a nightmare. I see a basketball in the background What do you do with the basketball.
