Yes, I am very lucky! I had an ex that was super picky about food...so glad that didn't work out! haha. I'm glad you told him to just pack his own, I would have as well. There is only so far you can go to keep someone happy before you just say well if you do it better than by all means.!! Glad you guys worked it out!

I pack my hubbys lunches or dinners depending on his work schedule. He takes leftovers sometimes when we have it. And he loves to have salami or summer sausage slices and different cheese slices that he has with crackers. He loves celery with peanut butter. And what ever else. Like pizza snacks, breakfast sandwiches that I make on either small croissants or English muffins. So he has a variety. Plus sweets I make etc. He's really easy to please.

Your dad burned a lot of calories.

My mom always packed my dad's lunches too. He was a carpenter, before all the power nailers etc. He had to use a regular hammer. He could drive a 4 inch nail in to a board in two hits. And Dad never missed or bent a nail. Dad had muscles 💪. And mom made everything from scratch. And canned and froze alot of our foods. So she would send dad off with 2 sandwiches. A container of frozen peaches or pears. Then by lunch time they would be thawed but still have some icy parts. Dad loved that. Homemade frosted brownies or cookies,, or both and whatever else she had. Dad always carried his old lunchbox and a thermos full of black coffee. Can still remember him leaving for work with that lunchbox and thermos. I miss him. 😢

Thanks Jen! My favorite bologna sandwich is fried runny egg with cheddar and a cold slice of bologna with lots of mayo on the bread! The hot/cold combo is so tasty!

Please more videos! Our family also goes to our local food pantry. We can do a full shop once a month. Doing that saves our family of 4 money! I love coffee and last Saturday when I was there I got a full bag of coffee. That would of cost me at Walmart at least 16$.

I agree with you!! I didn't eat a lot of veggies growing up and I want my kids to be better than me! So I try and add as many as we can all strand! Haha. Husband is the worst out of all of them to eat his veggies!! haha

Have you tried sending hot food in a food thermos? As long as you heat the soup/leftovers/whatever on the stove or in the oven, and prime your thermos with hot water, it'll stay hot for multiple hours... they make a wide mouth thermos especially for hot food instead of drinks. For cold food some of the things I pack for my lunch are homemade lunchables (crackers, cold cuts, cheeses), hardboiled egg salad sandwiches, or egg salad on a big bed of salad greens. I've packed cereal in a container with a separate container of milk (I use almond milk so I'm not as worried about it possibly getting warm) before, just for something different. I like to cut up fresh fruit and mix it in a bowl, with a drizzle of orange juice to keep apples, etc. from turning brown, for a fruit salad. I might be strange, but I happen to like cold lasagna, cold spaghetti, and cold pizza, so I occasionally pack those leftover to eat cold. I used to pack the same kind of thing every weekday, so Monday it was leftovers, Tuesday it was homemade lunchables, Wednesday it was a sandwich of some sort, Thursday it was a green salad, and Friday was leftovers again. I had different things each day, but had a plan for what to pack week after week so it was easy to be prepared. Different meats/cheeses/crackers every week kept me from getting tired of lunchables, different types of sandwiches kept me from getting tired of them (one week a BLT, the next a turkey deli style, the third a leftover roast beef sandwich, the forth a ham and cheese, etc), same with leftovers. If on Monday I packed the leftovers from Saturday or Sunday, by Friday I was ready for the leftovers from Wednesday or Thursday night's dinner. I hope that helps! Packing a lunch definitely saves money, even when feeding a bottomless pit, lol

Yes!! I always ask him if he gets enough food and when I send more he just doesn't have time to eat it all. He only gets 30 mins and doesn't have time for snacks.

Yes your mom is patient!! I had an ex that was super picky and wanted a new meal every night and wouldn't eat leftovers. He was 21 by the way. His mama definitely spoiled him! Glad Husband isn't picky!! He tells me when he doesn't like something I made, but that's very rare.

That's a great habit for him to have so young!

These ones are in a bread and butter brine that was just a packet. They are sweet. I'd say it's about the portions you used, just has seasons added to it.

That's great! It's so expensive now if he does eat out once a while. His boss usually buys him lunch once a week too. That's nice! He just leaves his lunch he brought in the fridge at work and I get the day off from packing one the next day!
