oh girl i’m in cosmetology school too and you’re gonna have such a fun time and you’re gonna learn so much. make sure you put your name on literally everything because you will be surprised on how many things you loose so fast. some people just snatch other people’s stuff. make sure you just go and get your hours in so you can get it all done with. but good luck girly and have so much fun with it you’ll do great❤️
Umm just my input but maybe invest in something more permanent like using and “nail tech drill” if you have one to engrave your name. I’m a cosmetologist as well
Leave the clip on your curler! For state board your curls need to be done with a marcel curling iron! Your kit is so much better than mine was 😂 I graduate in 2 weeks! Good luck to you! ❤️

I went though cosmetology school in high school. I am 18 and a licensed cosmetologist. It’s so much fun and I hope you have fun but are also serious about it. It will be a lot of work.

I just finished cosmetology school and some advice I want to share is to not be scared of uh ohs. We all have them in school when we start working on people, it's best to have them in school and learn from them than to never have them at all. If you have a client who isn't happy with their service get a teacher and see how they handle it. Don't let them bring you down. And be sure build each other up, don't be afraid to ask for help. And don't be scared to take clients, you can only learn so much by working on a doll, the real knowledge is working with clients. Best of luck to You!!!

Idk know how old you are (your comment makes me think you are young because you would probably be in cosmetology school right now) but Giell.com sells children practice kits for $59.99 and regular student kits as well. I'm pretty sure without asking you might own mannequin heads and if not Amazon has really nice ones. I wish you great success if that is a goal you have😊

Congrats on starting! im about 2 months away from graduating and im still loving it! Just make sure you stay out of any drama, so many people leave because they get them self into drama with someone,
@@jayadams9817 not being rude, but during state board, you have to tell the difference between straight, wavy, curly and extra curly/coiled hair and the different heat they can handle. Its such a pain in the butt
Idk what I wanna do yet 😭 I kinda wanna do cosmetology but I’m scared at the same time that imma make the wrong choice .. but I don’t know of anything that real school and college will do for me ... in the things that I like to do ... Trust me- after two licenses, two schools, two state borads- Cosmotology schools are taking advantage of cute pretty neive girls like you to make a quick buck. There is not ONE thing in there to justify the price.
Black White i did hair and esthetics and omg the school I went to had one campus close and I can’t even do hair or esthetics because the whole time I was there I had the wrong Sheers and after two years of caregiver I can’t even do a 0° cut without crying my hands are so bad
I’m in cosmetology as a 11th grader in high school and I can be in it because I go to a career center that’s a whole bunch of college class and I’m in love with it.

damn my cosmetology kit was 400$ and the program was free , I did it through my high school & did half day at regular high school and half day at cosmo school. now i’m a licensed cosmetologist .

I’m a 13 year old teenage boy who loves doing art portraits of girls, I like using makeup on them, and drawing hairstyles on it, I am thinking of going to cosmetology school, what would you say where should I go? I am interested in doing hair and doing makeup art, I also subbed ✌️
If you love doing that then I think cosmetology could be for you. I love painting and drawing and when I'm doing make up on someone and hair I feel like I'm painting or drawing. Go buy a mannequin head and play around with it and if you have just playing around with that then you'd love doing hair or makeup as a profession. Also I guess I should say that i'm in cosmetology school right now and i'm having so much fun with it! But!!!!! It's so much work and dedication. I think you gotta really want it to go through cosmo school. Your 13 as well, you'll change your mine a 100 times. I know I did lol! I hoped this helped!
So I am in Jounior High ab to be in High School and I have A Journ to Careers class and we had to take a career survey and it helped with us having options for Careers and I got cosmetology so this video helps alot

Im 18 and went to cosmetology school through high school I just finished Barber school i got my cosmo license and barber license right as I graduated now i own my own barbershop. Personally in my opinion barbering is a much better career choice nowadays.

I have two weeks left of Esthetic school it’s been great but we don’t get nearly as much stuff for $15k what school do you go to? I’m looking into going to school for barbering but I’m not sure if it’s worth it because I got ripped off at my school!

Holly shit girl where the hell u going to school tht the kit is tht much?!?!?!?! My kit was 1200 although it didnt come with the ipad, nearly as many perm rods, curling waver with the pump after, and mini straightener but besides tht i pretty much had the same exact things as u but i had a few things tht u didnt have aswell. U got severely ripped off
