What's in My Basket: Abstract Decks 💥🌀 

I watched this after watching your walk through of Abstract Futures...loving these. Taro of colour also has my heart...I use it most days at the moment. I have an interest in some abstract decks and am bringing a few more into my collection. I like the idea of the possibility, options, expansive meanings or even not a clear definitive meaning but a sense of something to think more on. Prompted by colour, shape and how these are reflected across different cards in a reading. I often take photos of readings so I can return to them multiple times. I often see something new or that I had missed when I go back to it which I find quite satisfying. The Dream Dust Shamanic tarot is another that I have an interest in. Although there are key phrases on the cards they are not completely standard and are quite beautiful. A slightly smoodgier looking version of TaC although I'm sure they would read quite differently. I'm also hoping to get the Depths tarot soon too. The Death Doula is on its way to me so I'm excited to see how it reads. For me the Cantigee is more surreal than abstract. I enjoyed how you approached reading the cards at the end. Thanks for that. Your collection is such an interesting one.

What an amazing collection! Love to see abstract decks getting a spotlight. One of my favorites is the OceanDry Tarot, I think it would qualify as an abstract Marseille.

These are so cool! The first 2 decks are full of art I would want on my walls, lol! I love the Abstract Futures deck. I wanted it, but would have to find it at a better price, like you did. It feels very midcentury modern to me. I have the Atomic tarot to fill that void instead. 😊 the rest of the decks are really cool, too! I could learn more about mandalas, I love the Animal Wise Body deck for healing, and that Marseille deck is the bomb! (I'm finding I really like pip decks. They're easier to read for me). Having grown up in the 60's and 70's, that Gipsy Tarot Tisgane is so relatable. ❤❤

Cantigee definitely feels abstract to me (I don't own it but I've certainly looked a few times at it). I have Luminous Void and while there are definitely figures and objects in it, it has an abstract quality - I had to see it in person in a shop to "get it."

Absolutely wondrous. I have admired but never really connected to abstract decks, but these really are wondrous, thankyou so much for showing them, and especially for the reading at the end which demonstrates how diverse but equally abstract decks work so well together. The colours are so rich they unleash a well of feeling, marvelous. My favourites you didn't choose - I will go looking for your wise animal body, and the large round ones, very mysterious, also loved vitriolic and the tiny sovereign. But the three you chose to work with here are also glorious, and the wild beauty and rarity of your collection is part of what draws me back. I also love Lady Bathsheba, and the fact of your academic study of these things. Please continue to open the door to your collection and give a reading as you did today, I would not have believed that three abstract decks could be warm, hopeful and inspiring as these were! I will stop gushing now... how do you find these things?!
