You need a few batteries for the ZV-1. I bring only GR iii for all the trips now. If I really want to take videos, I will bring ZV-1 plus a few batteries.
I just came back from orlando. Used my 20mm 1.8 for 90% of the time, great for video. 50mm1.2 didn't get used that much. Even though I loved the look for the few shots I took. It was just too tight but it did allow for some creative shots! (Forced me to get creative)
We did Disney World last summer (2021) and I took X-H1, 16mm 1.4, 35mm 2 and 50mm 2. I used 16mm 90% of time. And maybe 5% each for 35 and 50. The 35 came in handy for some family portraits (didn’t always bring all 3 lenses around, often just carried a couple lenses). 50mm I used one day to just walk around Grand Floridian grounds and take “arty” pics.
I’m going to Paris next week and have been struggling with the camera decision for weeks. I want to bring my M10 but then think the Q2 might be the smarter choice for the autofocus. Ridiculous how much time I’ve spent stressing over this. 😃
Good choice. I second the idea that you should keep the zv1. I can’t remember- have you tried the xe4 before? I had it and the size was convenient but not comfortable for longer shoots.
I would do the same thing except also bring a 28mm Elmarit-M. It's a very small lens and lightweight. You might lose a few good wide shots with just the 50mm
Yes, always keep it simple: one camera & one lens and use your feet. By essence thinking of what may happen never reflects what will really happen so ... :). That's why I love the Q2
