Annie I'd love to see a follow up video on things you actually used and didn't after the birth. I give birth end of October so these videos are so helpful 🤗
3rd time mom due in 4 weeks Liebe Grüße aus Berlin. you definitely over packed but! all first time mamas do that. I did with my first 😀,you’re not going to use a lot .
I was so embarassed for my huge suitcase but honestly ended up using almost everything I brought! I think everyone should go with whatever they feel comfortable with, even if it’s so many things or something huge like a pregnancy pillow or whatever😂 Giving birth and those first days are so important for mama and baby, and the more comfy and happy you are, the better! I think the best thing I took was a blanket I use all the time at home, it brought me so much comfort.
Hey Annie, mom of a 2 month old and 3 year old here! I highly recommend the “taking cara babies” online sleep course to start within the first month postpartum, and the “big little feelings” toddler course online! Obviously the BLF course isn’t needed right away but I would start learning it when she’s about 1-1.5 year old! They’re game changers!!
I strongly agree, taking cara babies is really helpful (it says to start after 1 month) but I would recommend to watch the video even before the baby arrives if possible so you will be prepared. I wish I knew this course before I got my baby girl who is 6 months old. I got to know about this course when she was 4 months old and it really helped. I wish you all the best for your delivery 😊
Hi Annie, I’m so excited for you!! I spent most of my time in a hospital gown with both of my deliveries. I would include a pair of disposable flip flops for the shower, and I know you plan on nursing, but I would also add a baby bottle just in case. Can’t wait to see baby girl!! 💖 wishing you a quick and easy delivery!!
Annie I'm watching this with tears in my eyes, I'm so exited for you, I look up to you so much and seeing you become a mom is so emotional! God bless your family!
I was 29 weeks pregnant with my twins and that week I told my partner that something is telling me to prepare a hospital bag! I was going to do it the next day but at 29 weeks at 5am my water broke I was in so much shock I never got a chance to get ready when the ambulance came I had 2 different pairs of socks on and slippers my partner put stuff in the bag he wasn’t even looking 😂 I was brought to the wrong hospital and lost one slipper looking back I find it so funny 😂😂
Oh Annie, you are perfectly organized and well structured as always aaaaand this is the most beautiful diaper bag I have ever seen! I wish you all the best for the upcoming birth and can´t wait to see your postpartum content and routines :-) All the best ❤
Oh Annie girl u really think ur gonna be able to use the light blocking mask and sound blocker earmuffs w a new baby .. not gonna happen not even at the hospital 🥺
We're both due around similar time, so just wanna say good luck mumma, you got this 💪 I'm feeling pretty anxious about the birth & this is my third time, but having hospital bags packed definitely puts mind at ease. All the best, you're going to be amazing 🙌
Oh Annie two years ago I had my little boy and I remember packing his bag like it was yesterday ❤️ I wish you all the best for your delivery and can’t wait to see you and your healthy little girl ❤️
My most essential item was to bring an extra bag because 🏥 provides extra diapers, bottles, formula and photos were taken there by a photographer , oh and gifts from family to put the new things in the extra bag to bring home.
I was breastfeeding so didn't need the formula. We didn't take the diapers the hospital gave us and we did not want visitors at the hospital. But yeah it could be useful depending.
PERFECT TIMING! i’m 36 weeks pregnant and just thought i should make my hospital bag. how handy you’ve made this video! thank you annie, you’re always coming through with the good things! you’re gonna be a great mum ❤️
I packed an electric heating pad for my back pain. it was sooo helpful during early labour and also postpartum. But think you have everything else covered good luck x wish you all the best. I am due in two/three weeks also ❤️
Hi Annie!! I’m so happy and excited for you guys 😄😍 she’s going to be so adorable!! Can’t wait to see video’s!! Be blessed!! You’re absolutely organized and ready 🥰👍
The thing that literally saved me after giving birth was vitamin waters. Please take some with you I drank a liter of vitamin water in 30 second because my body was so exhausted. The brind Vitamin well was perfect for me.
I have to say your going home outfits might not be practical. I was really small like you and my stomach shrunk to normal in a day, i lost all the water weight so maternity clothes were too big for me like 24 hours after birth. Also your dress might need some covers for leaking milk If you plan using it without bra. I might be wrong but just wanted to give you some perspective 😊
Hi Annie love your bag! Wishing you a healthy birth I would love to see a video with Mo talking about his perspective on this time and how he's preparing/feeling for the baby's arrival
I gave birth to a baby girl this spring 💗 one thing that was really helpful was a hair dryer … often the clinics have none or only one that is occipied, it was so nice to wash my hair after birth. Also socks with rubber or slippers that you can move around safely while giving birth without slipping. Good luck!
Thank you so much for yet another info-packed video! You're very kind to let us download your hospital bag checklist :)) although I'm nowhere near to having a baby, I find your content super useful for future use - and of course I have downloaded the checklist myself :) lots of love to you, Annie!
I made a similar bag for the birth of my baby, but the only things I used were the hair brush, sound machine (same), water wipes (better than hospital ones) and 3 onesies (because I had 3 days hospitalization after a needed C-section because of the baby’s position). I also gave birth for the first time in Germany and I went over prepared, because the hospital gives me everything I need, like no joke, everything: lanolin, frida items, diapers, pads. everything, and I stayed in the hospital for 3 days, but for a V birth, if everything is fine, they keep you for 1 day, like you don't have time to use the shower, and they send you home 😅😂. My baby is 1 year old now, and I am still super impressed about the Klinikum hospitality I had received, and all the nurses and doctors spoken english with me on my request. Germany Klinikum one of the best experience I ever had 🙌
Watching Annie's bag with all that stuff I just was thinking about women giving birth years ago, sometimes in the open fields 🙈 Don't get me wrong I love our comfort level nowadays...but man...:)
Hi Annie, I would highly recommend a donut for your bum. I had hemorrhoids due to all the pushing during labour and I couldn’t even sit on my bum. It hurt SO bad! Bring your breast pump also just in case baby has trouble latching otherwise you will have to squeeze the colostrum out of your boobs which can be very painful in order to feed baby. My hospital also served really unhealthy and disgusting food so pack some really nourishing and healing foods as well. It’s very crucial to supply your body nourishing food postpartum because your body is so depleted. 💖
Hi Annie! How come all/most of your links are for american websites? I thought you lived in Europe and this video got me excited thinking I could get stuff you recommend not like with other videos I’ve watched that are indeed american based. Do you actually buy from amazon’s USA website? Please help :)
Amazing video thank you so much🤍 Would you do a video after you gave birth about what you used/didn’t use or missed? I would take a slipper for the shower 🙈 And where did you get the plastic boxes for the pacifiers?
Dear Annie, hope you both are fine and everything goes well. I can recomend you to take your bb hug me pillow with you at the hospital. Also your pregnancy ball. Wish you good health!
Annie you are so organized! Don’t forget all the snacks! You are going to be so hungry and thirsty after you give birth. I found labor to be almost animalistic and all the ideas of wearing slippers and nice robes just goes out the window lol. I wish you a smooth delivery!
Your baby is so lucky. Your bag is so well organised.. way better than mine back in the day was lol. Mine tip is a cool playlist- that type of music that makes you feel like a rockstar and is utterly empowering. Wish you all the best! Love Elise
The only additional items that I brought to the hospital that I really enjoyed was a massager & calming music playlist. The massager was cute & shaped like a bug. I wound up having back labor on Pitocin. Massaging my hips relieved the pain tremendously! Regarding the playlist, everyone loved it! The doctor & the nurses kept saying that there was such a calm, peaceful vibe in the room, and I think the music helped to contribute towards that.
I’d also recommend an extra, empty tote bag to pack anything you get from the hospital or even gifts people might send you while you’re at the hospital. Wishing you a beautiful birth 💕
I haven't seen someone beautiful glowing when what brand of diapers are you going to use Pampers or huggies or luvs wish you and your family happy is this your 1st baby
If possible, try to get more of the diapers for women, it saves you time and hygienic to change after every trip to the bathroom. A great friend told me this and it totally helps in faster healing. It feels so comfy too since I live in a hot n humid country. I used a total of maybe 10 or more before transitioning to normal pads. If you ended up not using it can always donate or pass to another pregnant friend.
Not sure if you have watched all Ellen Fisher's birth video's/post natal care? But I think she takes a pad and wets it with witch hazel and water then freezes it for swelling and healing in the private area. If you and Mo have never seen her third child Scout be born, please watch it. It's SO beautiful, they caught how beautiful this moment is welcoming their daughter into the world.
So happy for you ! You guys will be the best mommy and daddy! Enjoy this time with your baby and family bc it will pass so fast. First time begin parents is so hectic but it wl make you strong and see life in more colors. I didn't read your list but I remember my breastfeeding was so painful until someone recommended a cream for it that I don't remember the name but I'm sure amazon must have it. Well Annie I wish you, ur husband and baby a happy and healthy welcome. 💕
I’m soooo excited for you! 💗 I have two children (10 en 1 years old).. Had a emergency c-section twice.. Wish you the birth you dream of, but above all: a healthy daughter! 🥰
Annie, please do not use the white noise for a newborn. ❤️ It is recommended when baby is few weeks older so that they don't forget to breath. Because the noise might make them feel a bit too much like in uterus. Baby will be calm when she is fed and close to you.❤️
Hi Annie before the labor birth the Baby nurses say dont eat any thing but you will eat the chocolate and dates for energy and you wil do this Job fighting girl💪 sorry my English
First of all you're so GORGEOUS!!! I can't!! You're the truest example of pregnancy glow and beauty I've ever seen! Also, I cannot put into words how useful these two last videos specially have been for me. I'm not pregnant but I'm kinda thinking next year I'm going to be, so this info makes me think about all the process and needs and I really find it very very useful. Thank you so much!! Finally I really hope everything goes great and your little baby girl comes with no problem whatsoever ❤️ she's going to have the best mama ever!!!!!
Hey Annie, another item that is helpful is a three prong type of hand held back massager. A great position while in labor is sitting on the big ball with your hospital bed lowered to the right height so you can have the top of your body laying face first on a comfy pillow on the bed. Then your partner can be massaging your back with the hand held massager and some great cream like "Dream Cream" or an oil. It's is helpful because this can go on for hours and your partner's hand can let the massage tool do the work and not get tired out.
I remember how exciting it was just looking at the hospital bag knowing baby's going to be here soon!💞 I recommend you bring your own pillow and your pregnancy pillow as well, also for Mo. And yes you will need to apply nappy cream with every single diaper change from day one 🙏🏻
Sounds like you thought of everything! Better to have and not need for sure. Don’t forget Mo’s stuff too. If u have an iPad I suggest that as well, u never know how long labor is. Good luck, can’t wait to see baby girl 💗💗💗💗
I love these kinds of videos! my husband and I want to start trying for kids sometime next year. I LOVE the diaper bag, I've never seen anything like it! will def be getting it once I do plan do have a baby loll
So excited for you! Good luck! I'm pregnant with my 3 child and i was smiling when I saw you have packed sooo many things :) can't wait to see your baby girl
Awww good luck Annie. I am due in September so soon will be packing my bag. It’s my second baby so I know now what I need and what is not really that useful. On the note of ur coming home clothes I would recommend wearing loose darker clothes that u don’t mind staining as you will be bleeding a lot after giving birth x take care and again all the best 💖
Just had my baby 6 weeks ago and the best thing I bought for postpartum care was a perineal bottle. So good for cleaning round ur stitches and really soothing, would highly recommend. I see it is on ur list 🥰 xx
Dear Anni, I wish you an easy birth and leave the hospital with your hands full. This is the traditional blessing we give here to a woman who is about to give birth Love you from Israel❤️🙏
