I enjoy these little views into your pencil pouches and supplies. I have a wooden box with Tombow markers. I have a ton. And I have a nice canvas pouch from A. Gallo Watercolors that I keep black and white pens, markers and highlighters in. I was taking a class with Ohn Mar Win and it was a monotone class, so I kept the pouch with monotone supplies. And then I have a couple of go to vertical pouches with favorites and one pencil pouch with fountain pens. It's almost addictive to purchase pen pouches, isn't it?
I used to have my most frequent daily pens and pencils in two Superior Labor Engineer pouches. But I got tired of digging around in them for what I needed. Now, I use a Vanqquest slim organizer pouch that houses my most used daily pencils, fineliners, and erasers. I can open it and see everything immediately. Most of my other pens, fineliners, brushes, blenders and other supplies are in four cups on my desk. One is a canvas cup from Baum Kuhen which I love. My fountain pens are stored in Rickshaw rolls and cases in my desk, with my currently inked pens in a rattan tray on my desk. And I have an Easterbrook To Go Cup on my desk as well. A few other sketchbooks, the Vanquest pouch and misc. supplies are in a desk tray. I've finally got a system that works well, and I can grab a small sketchbook and my organizer pouch, throw them in my bag and I'm good to go for any outdoor sketching. My small living space limits my tendency to go overboard on buying art supplies. Other journaling and craft supplies like glue sticks, scissors rulers, stencils and the like are in my desk drawers. My 2 Superior Labor pouches now house my various compases, and the other one is on standby for when I house sit and want to take other supplies on the go. Mostly everything I need for my daily art practice is within reach on my desk.
Loved this video because it inspired me to organize all my pouches and products like the tape dispensers, washi-tape pen and “Hold-Fast” stapler- all of which I have been accumulating from your monthly subscription boxes but never yet pressed into service!
My Sailor fude pens live in the shallow Engineer pouch in yellow that was part of the box many years ago (?) and I love how they fit! Somehow the colour sakuramori has dried out but the others are still going strong three years in and I haven’t used my Tombow brush pens since then. Been thinking about giving them away actually! Thanks for sharing Mits! It‘s always so interesting how other people use their things 💌
Just what I needed! I’ve been wanting to freshen my mobile kit! Thanks for the inspiration! I also need to get out my SL pencil case from Stationery Selection… It’s so pretty!
Absolutely love your choice, for washi i have a sticker book and i do one to two design per page and i have them always. Love brush pens but prefer to use watercolour for lettering
I have my markers divided into “family markers” and “my markers”. Since my daughter is only 4 years old but she still wants to use the same items I do, I give her the “family” set so if the markers tips get damaged, I’m not too heartbroken.
Ah! Thank you for this recommendation, but I do not have anything interesting.. haha I will definitely consider it though :) Thank you for the suggestion!
I would love it if you talked more about your work, especially the box selections. I always look for people posting about the stationery selection boxes. I would love to see them whilke they are still available to purchase? I need to do a really thorough bag clean out . Right now I have too many things scattered in different bags and Im having trouble finding exactly what I need. My stapler for example ... its soo tiny that I cant seem to find which bag its hiding in . 😂
Thank you so much for the suggestion. I will try and film a box while we have them still available for purchase. I used to film them many years ago, but received some comments that they do not like the spoiler aspect of it, so I held off on filming. I think I will re-visit the idea of filming them again sometime later this year. Thank you for the suggestion!
Hello! I am so so sorry the name of the clips are lost in my brain right now.. perhaps they were Velos? but they were part of a stationery box many many years ago.. If I recall, I will update this post.
