Yeah, the 2 knife thing is strange to me. I am a knife enthusiast and I am also a small business owner who basically does anything related to landscaping and tree care in central Florida. I use my knives many times every day, hard usage that also requires a sharp blade. The people who carry nice knives like Emerson or Benchmade but are afraid to actually use them are the ones carrying 2 knives usually. I love using my nice knives for actual work and they do perform better and last longer than the cheap knives. It's obvious that many people who are into this EDC thing are only doing it as a hobby and a fashion trend. Which is completely fine if it's something that they enjoy. I just find it amusing to see how many tools a guy with a white colar who lives in an apartment carries every day because they supposedly "need" them daily lol.
@@TJ45223 heavy, don't need all the useless tools, I carry a backpack where I keep a small tool roll. Much better than a multi tool. Everything I need and nothing I don't
The psychology behind edc is interesting to me. The subculture has really transcended beyond just carrying a single knife for years or using the same watch for decades etc.
I don’t get it man. Leatherman Arc, Rolex Datejust, and my phone. I don’t carry cash and I just Apple Pay. Clean pockets and if I need my wallet for cards or cash it’s in my truck with my full size tools.
I agree I’ve been using the same knife, watch and other gadgets for well over 5 years hence the phrase EVERYDAY DAY CARRY! I never got the need or urge to buy multiples of everything.
@@manuelpiston Nah man it’s just multi tool ,phone, watch, doesn’t have to be expensive. People get too wrapped up in the carry a crap load of gear, try carrying less but with better quality.
What is the idea behind carrying a fixed blade and the folder? That fixed blade appears to be neither a defensive blade nor a heavy use blade. At what times Do find yourself using the fixed vs the folder?
Because this isn’t a real EDC. This is a product placement advertisement. None of the leather products look used. Nothing is used. It’s all just a big advertisement.
@@Rotwang72that's 100% true, but I often carry 2 knives anyway. One is meant for dirtier, harder work and slightly curved. The other is for smaller or cleaner stuff and has a straight blade with a tanto tip. And both can be used for protection if I need it.
Mostly all of the stuff he shows is just for the gimmick. If you need to carry a pen every day, then you probably won't need much hardware (and vice versa). There are exceptions, but I doubt many people fall into that. Come on, the two knives are already telling.
I carry a pen in my briefcase, and my tablet has a pen as well. The fountain pen is basically obsolete equipment, I only use it for signing the rare paper document. It doesn’t get used enough to justify actual pant pocket space. Maybe jacket space in some situations.
I carry a phone & a car fob, everything i need is in my car or house. If im going bush, I'll carry a knife etc. But who carries a torch during the day anyway? seriously.
If i dont carry my leatherman multitool with bit kit and bit extender and flashlight, i carry a pocket knive knipex cobra pliers and a 4" cresent wrench and a flashlight.
My pockets sport a wallet by some leather crafter in Jerome, AZ, a Shaman from Spyderco, a metal clicker pen from Rite in the Rain, a notebook by the same, and my keychain I got from work. Has a belt loop karabiner and a Ruger/Marlin medallion
@@StevenMoney I’m not. I got the keychain from work, because I work for Ruger. I got the wallet because I was in Jerome once and needed a new one. The Shaman is just a bigger version of the Native and I loved that, and the pen and notepad is just nice
